Chapter Text
My name is Y/N, and my life is SOOOOOO boring. I mean I do the exact same things every single day. Get up, get dressed, eat, go to school, go home, eat, then bed.
I shouldn't really be complaining. I live in a nice neighborhood, two loving parents, a little brother, and at a great school. So, all and all I'm gifted and lucky to be living in this lifestyle instead of dead and on the streets. That much is true. In school I'm a straight A student, sometimes I do get Bs but either way I’m good in school. But for some reason I feel like I should be doing something else.
Today was another boring day, my parents woke me up then went to make breakfast for me and my brother while we got dressed. Today I decided to wear a white spaghetti-strapped shirt, with a pink hoodie. Yes I hate pink, but it feels nice to wear. Plus, a pair of ripped jeans, with belt, and sneakers made you look hot and kick a** if you do say so yourself.
Then there is a knock at my bedroom door. “Honey, your food is ready,” said my mom.
I replied with “Okay thank you mother!” I grabbed my bag, along with everything I needed for school and walked out of my room. While on my way out I caught my brother leaving the house, since he goes to a different school then me he has to leave earlier than me. “BYE BRO SEE YOU LATER!” I yelled at him.
He responded with, “I WILL!!”
I really do love my little brother, sure he can be a pain in the butt sometimes, but who’s sibling isn't!
Soon enough we get to school, and since I don't have friends I just go to my first class and get a jump on my work for the day.
Once again time passes, students are in the classroom and the teacher begins her lesson. I drift off and start to daydream again.
I do that a lot honestly. I'm amazed I'm an A student with how many times I drift off.
This time I was imagining a world full of different creatures and monsters of all kinds; ghosts, humans, vampires, and my personal favorite, skeletons.I mean how can you NOT love them, so cool. I love watching movies where there are skeletons involved somehow. They just seem like a lot of fun. Except when they want to take your flesh, then that’s just not cool.
I was snapped out of my thoughts by my teacher calling my name over and over again. She knows about my habit of daydreaming, so she just let it be, but made sure I was back on track. I thanked her for that. The bell goes off and I go to my next period, science.
In that class we took notes and worked on a worksheet, so there wasn't much to talk about.
The bell rang once again and off to history, now this was a class I wish I could sleep in. I actually did once and got in trouble for it. My teacher was talking about WW2 and about the Battle Of Midway, claiming it was the biggest battle in history. That's what he said about a different battle of the same time period. Why do history teachers do that anyway? There can't be more than one biggest battle in history, especially when they are of the same time period.
Sure if it's a few years apart, but any time that doesn’t have a 2 year period in between? That’s honestly pushing it.
I like to listen to WW2 details, it's interesting and actually features bad guys like in an action story. Only downside is that it was real and a lot of people died.
All seemed to be normal. Just a normal day.
When all of a sudden, an extremely loud and painful sound came out of nowhere, all of us had to cover our ears, but even that I didn't do anything.
Once it had stopped we all questioned what that sound was, I listened to some of their ideas. One girl said, “Maybe it was a loose fan that made a loud squeaking sound?”I thought it was unlikely.
One boy said, “Maybe it was government testing?”, yeah no was the only thing in mind for that thought.
Eventually I gave up on their theories because of how ridiculous they sounded and turned to the teacher as he tried to calm them all down.
I sighed and daydreamed but also was thinking of my own possibilities as to what it was. I thought something interesting would happen in my life.
Then out of the blue came a white portal.
Everyone became dead silent and just stared at the portal. “Okay. everyone out and away from that thing.” ordered the teacher.
Everyone obeyed and began walking out, everyone except me that is. This was the first UN-ordinary to happen, so naturally I approached the portal with caution. Actually, that was UNnatural, for ANYONE to do, I must have been crazy and out of my mind!
“Y/N! Get over here and get away from there!” ordered my teacher, to which I ignored and walked closer.
I stopped and looked at the portal, it was white and looked to be made of light??? I donno.
I wanted to find out where it would go, so I put my head in and then it closed and chopped my head off.
AS IF IM THAT STUPID!!!!!!!!!
I grabbed a nearby ruler and poked the portal, it sucked up the ruler so fast that the sudden action made the ruler cut my hand.
I slightly yelped at the sudden pain I got.
My teacher ran over to help, it wasn't bad, but it was bleeding. We walked over towards the door, I grabbed my things and walked over to the exit, but as we were heading out the portal let out what looked to be tentacles.
Two of them and they were heading right for me.
My teacher got in front of me, and they stopped. We all were just staying there for a long while before the tentacles made a quick move at me. Going around me and wrapping around my waist.
“AAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!” I kicked, screamed, and hit but to no avail, the tentacles held onto me. My teacher reached for me and grabbed my hand.
Big mistake.
He grabbed my injured hand, it hurt, I hissed at the pain, but he didn’t let go.
Instead, a third tentacle can out and hit him to the side, making him release me. As I was pulled into the portal by the original two tentacles, the third one disappeared into the portal as well.
Then it closed, with me inside.
