Chapter Text
He opens the Resupply cabinet, hoping to find the pack of cigarettes he had left there. Sometimes, no, all the time rather, Spy wishes that everyone in the team had a different cabinet of their own. The cabinet was used for storing certain things you would need while in battle, and just stuffing them in one place was very irritating if what you're looking for is something small. He finally finds the pack he was looking for after digging through boxes of ammo and closes the door. Someone startles him as he was about to leave, Sniper was waiting beside him, elbow resting on the other closed cabinet door.
"Please warn me next time, mon dieu."
Spy places his free hand on his chest, calming himself down from the sudden Sniper jumpscare.
"I thought you would be in your van by now."
The rest of the team was already gone, only leaving both of them inside the Resupply room, and when the rest of the team was gone, he had expected Sniper to come with them. Sniper seemed to have a forced smug smile on his face, which almost made the spy laugh.
"Spy..."
"Yes, I am right here, Sniper."
"Are... are you religious?"
Sniper sounded nervous, judging by how he spoke. It was very in-character for him, but what was there to be nervous about?
"Non, why are you asking me this?"
"Because you're... you uhm... you just answered all my prayers!"
Sniper attempted to wink, but failed miserably. Spy would have laughed but he was so weirded out by the pick-up line, he couldn't let out even a small chuckle. He sighs, covering his face with his hands and slowly sliding them down.
"Sniper, if we weren't in the same team, I would have immediately punched you. Please do not say such things in front of me again."
"Aw, come on, mate. It's-!"
A sudden laugh from the exit of the Resupply room cuts off Sniper. The laugh was from Scout. Spy immediately figured that Sniper asked Scout to help with this stupid stunt. He rolls his eyes and cloaks, exiting the room, leaving Scout to freely make fun of Sniper's attempt.
It was admittedly adorable, but it just... did not work.
