This is new. This whole situation invites Johnny to his house with Taeyong—his husband—is new. Jaehyun knows his relationship with his darling husband is unconventional. A relationship that most people will squint their eyes at them. He and Taeyong are deeply in love, absolutely smitten with each other. Betrothed in their mid-20s and happily married in their early 30s. Their relationship is perfect; they always communicate what's on their mind because that's the key to having a healthy open relationship. But, this is different. It's not a casual dinner between them and one of their brief partners.
It all began when Johnny got transferred to the main office from the California branch office. Jaehyun, a whore for a tall, big, buff, and handsome man, can't get his eyes off of Johnny when his boss introduces Johnny to him and personally asks Jaehyun to help Johhny for the time being until they find a secretary for Johnny.
Johnny Suh. A sweet, funny, gentle, humorous man. Jaehyun loves spending time with the man. Johnny knows his coffee preferences after a week of working overtime together for a project. Johnny knows which restaurant Jaehyun likes when he's being difficult about food. Johnny knows which wine would make a better accompaniment for a certain dish (Jaehyun finds it really sexy, and Taeyong agrees with him). Johnny didn't get weird out and laughed when Jaehyun told him he has a beautiful, kind-hearted husband, and they have an open relationship despite being married. Johnny rather smiled fondly at him and said, "love and trust between the two of you are admirable. I can see you love him so much, Jaehyun. It's beautiful to see."
Jaehyun should have known he was fucked when Johnny said it, but he still told himself that it was just a stupid little crush and it would be faded with time.
Unless it isn't. Taeyong knows his husband better than Jaehyun himself. Jaehyun doesn't have a stupid little crush on Johnny. Jaehyun likes Johnny and Taeyong can see how his husband's eyes fill with admiration and desire every time Jaehyun talks about Johnny. It's adorable to watch because Jaehyun looks like an excited puppy, made Taeyong wants to pinch his cheeks and peppered him with kisses on his face. And he does it. Pinch Jaehyun's soft cheeks and kiss him while Jaehyun hugs his waist, and takes him to sit on his lap. Giggles slip from both of them between the kiss. Taeyong gives Jaehyun a fleeting kiss on the corner of his husband's lips before making a little distance between them. "Let's invite Johnny for dinner tomorrow. I want to see the man that makes my husband like this."
And here they are, sitting together in the living room with a glass of wine. The dinner went great. Taeyong and Johnny seem comfortable around each other, which causes relief for Jaehyun. It's not a weird moment to see Taeyong can easily warm up to new people and let the conversation flow between them, and Johnny always has topics to keep the conversation interesting. It's nice until Jaehyun catches a familiar glint in Taeyong's eyes. Jaehyun mouthed the word no, but Taeyong doesn't care and gives Jaehyun the sweetest smile that makes Jaehyun shiver in fear. Taeyong is sweet but he loves put Jaehyun miserable. It doesn't last long, though, because Jaehyun feels Johnny's hand on his thigh, stopping him from thinking about any possibilities of what Taeyong would do.
Jaehyun lifts his eyebrows and Johnny smiles a little at him, "I need to go to the bathroom," Johnny says and Jaehyun tells him where the bathroom is right away, ignoring Taeyong's annoyingly endearing smile. After making sure Johnny is out of the living room, Jaehyun widened his eyes at Taeyong who is now holding his laugh with sipping his wine.
"What is your evil plan, Tae? Don't embarrass me in front of Johnny. If this doesn't work, he's still my co-worker, you know!" Jaehyun scream-whisper at Taeyong while the latter seems like dismiss his concern. Taeyong put his wine glass on the coffee table and move to sit near his husband, holding his hands and playing with his fingers.
"It's just," Taeyong pauses and traces the veins on Jaehyun's hand with his fingers, "Johnny definitely likes you, babe. And now I understand why you're so obsessed with him."
“I’m not obsessed with Johnny.”
"Yes, you are, honey. He's charming and sweet. He's fun to be around. Johnny is amazing."
Jaehyun hums at Taeyong's words. Agree with every word Taeyong says. They let silence fill the void of the room. Comfortable with the presence of each other, knowing they think about the same thing but unsure how to let it out because they know it's different. Everything with Johnny is different.
"Jaehyun, I know what you feel for Johnny is different from your previous flings or crushes. It's impossible not to fall for him and I can see he's also obsessed with you. I mean, stupid of him if he doesn't go crazy for my handsome, sexy, adorable husband."
Jaehyun chuckles. He moves his palms up and intertwines his fingers with Taeyong's. Loving the familiar feelings of slender and soft fingers of his husband on his hands.
"Johnny seems like you too, love," Jaehyun says. He isn't blind and he knows when a man is attracted to his husband. The thought of Johnny and Taeyong together gives him sudden happiness but he quickly stops his thought. Although Johnny appears to have an attraction toward his husband, it doesn't mean Johnny and Taeyong want a relationship. Taeyong lets out an unattractive snort at his statement. "Well, have you looked at me? Who doesn't attracted to me, babe?" Replies Taeyong and Jaehyun roll his eyes with a low laugh slipping out between his lips.
"So, are you okay if someday Johnny and I …?"
"Date? Fuck? God, I think, no, I know he's a monster in bed."
"Taeyong!"
Taeyong tilts his head to see Jaehyun's expression and laughs after seeing the scandalized expression on his husband's face. "Of course, I don't mind. You were very supportive when Doyoung and I dated back then." Taeyong answers Jaehyun's unfinished question.
"Do I interrupt a loving moment here?" Jaehyun and Taeyong lift their head at the same time when they hear Johnny's soft voice, and they smile at him. Taeyong is the one who answers Johnny, "We were just talking about round 2 for dessert. I know a place that sells the best dessert in the world. I think we can go to their place. What do you think?"
Johnny looks at Jaehyun, silently asking if Jaehyun wants a dessert. Jaehyun feels warm with Johnny's attentive gesture and he smiles, nodding his head a little. "Well, lead the way, Sir. I can drive us there." Johnny says. Jaehyun can feel Taeyong tighten their hold, a habit of his when he feels excited, before letting go and standing up from the sofa.
"Yes! Oh gosh, I've been craving Kun's tiramisu! I'm going to take our coat, baby. Wait for me!" Taeyong says while he runs to the upstairs, ignoring Jaehyun's voice to be careful and not to run.
Johnny chuckles at the sight, sitting down beside Jaehyun again and looking at the latter with a fond smile. "I understand now why you love him so much. Taeyong, he's very special, isn't he?" Johnny says and Jaehyun can tell Taeyong's antics endears Johnny. Jaehyun braved himself to initiate the first move to hold Johnny's hand and Johnny squeezed their hands softly. Jaehyun looks at Johnny right in his eyes and trying not to blush at Johnny's full of fondness and affection eyes though he knows he fails miserably.
"He is, and so you are."
