A strangled sob escapes her, drops of water colliding with the wooden floor in uneven intervals and she draws her knees closer, similar to how one would preserve heat in a cold climate.
Faint metal steps clink with the floor, coming closer and closer. A knock, then a door can be heard creaking open and light pours into the room, illuminating the surroundings. A big bookshelf is lining one wall while the opposite hosts two generous windows, in the middle of the room a bed is stationed, and next to it, sitting curled up on the wooden floor, at its base, is the source of the sounds.
Her breath hitches when the creacking door announces its patron's arrival, refusing to turn her head, she keeps it barrowed into her arms.
Although the door may have opened, the footsteps stopped there and in a quiet, gentle voice, so as to not alarm a scared animal, the Intelligencer of Clan Ferros speaks.
"Y/N? Is everything alright?" with slow steps she moves to approach her.
Another sob escapes her grasp and her eyes widden in fear.
The steel lady stands beside her, crouching down next to her, a frown adorns her face in concern. "Who hurt you? Give me a name and I'll make sure the appropriate sentence is delivered."
The smaller girl shakes her head, and hesitantly raises it up, making eye contant with Camille. Her eyes are puffy and red from the tears and the sleeves of her shirt are slightly wet. Y/N holds Camille's gaze, as if silently asking her something, before averting her eyes.
Camille searches Y'N's face, trying to figure out what would've caused this, before she speaks "What happened?" She moves a tad bit closer, sitting down now next to Y/N, their shoulders touching.
"Hold me." a whisper. "Please, Camille."
Hands reach the smaller girl's face, gently turning her head towards the older woman's. Her expression still holds a frown, but this time it's gentler. She then presses a light kiss to her lips and pulls her into her arms.
Y/N nestles her face into the crook of her shoulders, burying her nose in the blouse. Another sob wracks her body and strong yet thin arms come to rest on her back, holding her in a tight embrace.
Her hand runs up and down her back, in the hope of offering comfort. "Speak to me, what is the matter?" she says in a quiet voice.
After a moment of hesitation, the other voice perks up. "I was.. lonely"
Although she didn't voice it, the amount of gratitude she felt for the older woman's pressence right now couldn't be expressed, even if at the time she considered it a nightmare scenario, Camille couldn't have come at a better time.
"That's not all there is to it though, is there?"
Hit the nail on the head.
"It's.. related" she murmurs.
Camille hums in consideration. "How does a cup of hot tea sound?"
"Depends on what kind." Y/N adds, a light smile peeking at the edges.
"Your favorite."

She offers her a hand, moving to stand up.
As they motion out of the bedroom, the smaller girl perks up in a tiny voice.
"Camille?"
She hums as if to inquire 'what is it?'.
"I love you."
A hand comes to hold her waist, leading her to a table with two chairs, positioned in front of a window so that the rays of sunlight illuminate its wooden surface.
"Y/N, you are the most precious thing to me, know that the love I hold for you is unparalleled." She turns her head to the girl and bends down to prep a kiss on her lips.
In return, Y/N's hands cup the steel lady's face, holding her in place "You are so hot." and she kisses her back.
