The Twins Bully a Small Child, feat. Reader

Summary:

You, honest to god, could not care too much about the little boy Freddy took in six months ago. You did your job, said hello to your animatronic friends, got kisses and hugs from your two favorite animatronics, and got paid. Sure the kid was a little bit of a brat, but all kids are. Not your problem, not your business.
Luckily for you, the twins need help with some...business.

AKA: Reader should have been fired a long time ago.

Work Text:

In hindsight, maybe you should have told the kid you knew about everything.

But, to be honest, you couldn’t be bothered to take the time to care. It’s not like he needed you before now anyway. Gregory had the Glamrocks and, occasionally, the twins. And he had Vanessa, who you’d taught how to detect when the kid was around just to fuck with him a little.

So yeah, Gregory didn’t need you. You did your job, hung out with the twins, blocked off Gregory’s access to the areas where you and the twins really didn’t want him, and laughed a little every time you heard him whine down a hall. But now…

“The rulebreaker’s a bitch,” Moon snarled, getting a gasp from Sun beside him, “Stop him.”

You raised a brow. “And why is he being a bitch?”

“Language!”

“Running through halls,” Moon began counting off his fingers.

“He makes such messes!” Sun chimed in, Moon raising a second finger.

“Doesn’t go to sleep.”

“Says such bad words!”

“Steals hat.”

“Disrupts us during naptime!”

As the list went on and on, Moon ran out of fingers, and began lifting Sun’s until he got the hint and began counting as well. When they ran out of Sun’s fingers, they began trying to count on Moon’s feet, ignoring the fact that Moon does not have toes the same way humans do. They got to the first two “toes” on Sun’s feet before they stopped.

“So yeah!” Sun smiled, kicking his not counted-on foot. “I think that’s everything.”

“Ate glitter glue,” Moon added on, Sun counting a third toe.

“Nevermind, that’s everything.” You snorted.

“I think that’s just called being an iPad kid,” you smiled, shaking your head.

“He’s a menace,” Moon lifted his eyes a little, “never says sorry, no.”

“Yeah, even when other kids do that kinda thing they apologize, comet! But not the rule breaker,” Sun shook his head dramatically. You crossed your arms on the security desk, leaning forward to look at the two bots sitting on the little cylinders. Moon reached out and covered your face with his hand before you swatted his arm, his fingers slowly leaving like an octopus before retreating.

“What do you want me to do about it?” You asked, looking down at the edge of the desk. Sun hopped off his cylinder pyramid, crouching down to be in your line of sight. He grabbed your hands, pulling them out from under you so your upper half was laying on the desk. He grasped your hands tightly.

“We- well, Moon was thinking-”

“Putting the blame on me?”

“Yes. So, Moon was thinking that maybe you could, I dunnooo….” The bright animatronic lifted his eyes slightly, looking at you with the most pleading look. “ Pretendyou’resomeaverageworkerwhocaughthimafterhoursandgethimintrouble ,” You blinked, genuinely confused at whatever came out of Sun’s mouth. He sighed, and mumbled a little quieter but slower.

“Pretend you’re some average worker who caught him after hours and get him in trouble…” His rays dimmed a little, spinning slowly. You snickered, and patted him on the head.

“Sure, whatever, I got nothing else to do,” His rays were suddenly blinding, and he essentially dragged you over the desk to pick you up.

“OH, THANK YOU COMET! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!” Moon hummed appreciatively from somewhere behind you, a sudden presence behind you the only sign he’d stood up.

When Sun finally set you down, you were engulfed in a soft hug from the darker animatronic behind you. He placed his head on top of yours, the two of you swaying back and forth slowly.

“Rulebreaker will get his lesson,” you felt his smile in your hair, “I would like to help.”

Ah, that’s right. Gregory’s still kinda freaked out by Moon. To his knowledge, the animatronic would rather Gregory not be here at all. Which might be slightly true. However, it makes your job much easier.

So, here you were, sitting at your security desk in the daycare, drumming your fingers on the tabletop while listening to the sounds of Sunny traveling through the daycare, picking stuff up for tomorrow. A commotion right outside the door began, and you scrambled to look professional and scary on your computer. Sun ran into their room, during a forward roll behind to go behind the curtains, almost dragging them down. He grabbed it immediately, mouthing a “sorry” before pushing them aside, walking in normally.

Gregory was being held at arm’s length by Moon, kicking his little legs wildly as he screamed at the amused red eyes to put him down or he’ll kick him. So, Moon just flipped him upside down and held him by his feet.

“Found him,” Moon’s voice rumbled, amusement dripping from it, not like Gregory could tell. In his mind, Moon was the least sentient animatronic. It was funnier to let him assume Moon’s outrageous security measures and games were his programming and not that Moon genuinely found it funny.

“Perfect. We’ll keep him here tonight, then ship him off tomorrow morning,” you almost broke character at Gregory’s pale face, the kid twisting to try and break free.

“You can’t do this, the others will help me! SUN! FREDDY! COME ON, GUYS!” You winced as he began screaming. “I’LL GET VANESSA TO FIRE YOU, JUST WATCH.” Vanessa did not have the authority to fire you. The two of you were equals, and technically you were above her. You rolled your eyes.

“I don’t have time for this. I’ll have to look at Freddy and see if he really has been helping this kid.”

Moon carried Gregory off, the twelve year old screaming profanities. You had no idea where Moon was going to stick him, but figured it was going to be good.

A few seconds after Gregory left, Sun’s rays poked out from the edge of your desk, big white eyes peeking up at you.

“Thaaank youuu sunriseeee…” Sun’s rays spun slowly, gaining speed. You sighed, patting his head and getting a pleased hum out of him.

“No problem sunshine.”

Moon came back around ten minutes later, slinking in from the big doors and sitting on the edge of where the security area met the carpet. His red eyes stared at you until you swiveled around to stare back at him.

“Wanna see?” You stood up, silently asking him to lead the way.

“What. The fuck, Moon.”

“Language.”

“It’s funny,” Moon shrugged, staring up at the ceiling with you and Sun. Gregory let out a shout down, swinging wildly.

Moon had tied him up around his stomach with his arms pinned to his sides, legs free to kick wildly, only serving to spin him around and make him dizzy. The kid stared at you, a burning hatred in his gaze.

“I’ll get you! I mean it! Freddy will save me, watch!” you snorted, Sun giggling quietly next to you.

“Brats go in time out,” Moon mused, making the both of you laugh harder, Sun covering his mouth with his hand as though that would quiet his laughter. Gregory became outraged at your laughter.

“You think this is funny? I’ll- woah.” He kicked a little too hard, accidentally making himself spin again. Sun fell to the floor laughing, Moon shaking quietly beside you. Footsteps rang out in the hallway behind you.

“What’s so funny?” Vanessa asked, her flashlight shining on the three of you. Moon hissed, getting an eye roll from the security guard. Sun, still laughing on the floor, simply pointed up before dissolving into giggles again.

“Vanessa! Moon sold me out to this guard! They’re going to take me away! HELP ME!” Gregory screamed, making Vanessa look at you curiously, laughter growing just behind her eyes.

“In my defense, I didn’t know Moon was going to hang him from the ceiling,” you rationalized, making Vanessa start laughing with you three, patting you on the shoulder before looking up.

“Whatever you did kid, I’m sure you deserve this. I’ll see you in the morning, ‘kay?” Gregory squaked in offense, getting one more chuckle out of Vanessa before she set off to tell the Glamrocks. Gregory was quiet for a few seconds, pondering.

“How’d you know I was here?”

“I’ve always known you were here,” you shrugged, laying down next to Sun. The animatronic sat up, grabbing your hands and moving them around randomly, making occasional sounds to go with it.

Always?

“Yup. Was here when the virus was infecting everyone, left a few hours before you showed up, saw the security footage in the morning.” By this point Sun was basically sitting in your lap, and Moon sat down on your other side, poking your face. You smacked him. He poked you again.

“Soooo…” Gregory trailed off. “Why haven’t you turned me in?”

“I’m Vanessa and the animatronics’ friend,” you shrugged as best you could while laying on cold tile. “Plus, you may be really annoying, but ya know.” The kid scowled.

“I’m not annoying!”

“Difference of opinion,” Moon hummed.

You closed your eyes, feeling Sun put down your hands and straight up lay on you. Moon flopped on top of him , having the two of you let out an oof. You struggled to gain back your breath, Moon chuckling all the while.

“Are you fucking the animatronics?” he asked suddenly. Your eyes shot open, face suddenly very red. You stumbled for a reply while Sun’s speakers suddenly played the Windows startup sound, eyes pitch black. Did he really just restart?

“Do you want to be up there for longer?” Moon growled out, standing up to climb up the walls and stare at the boy.

“So you are fucking them!” Gregory shouted, Moon shoving him in the process before grabbing him harshly. You sat up while Sun rolled off you, dragging his hands down his face as he groaned. Gregory was shouting at Moon again before the bot covered his mouth with his hand.

“I am not doing…that… with the animatronics. Sun, Moon, and I just have a different type of relationship, is all,” you stood up fully now, Sun barely beginning to sit up. He looked like someone hit him with a bus then tried to explain to him that the earth was flat.

Gregory continued ranting about how he knew something was up with the twins, until Sun had enough. He stood up suddenly, threw you over his shoulder, and began walking to the daycare, muttering about the ‘evil little rulebreaker’. You heard Moon make one final comment to Gregory, before you saw dark blue pointed shows, eyes trailing up to meet Moon’s amused face.

“Really, Sun?”

“I panicked, what do you want from me? That little rulebreaker ,” Sun’s hold on your hips tightened minutely, “gets on my nerves. It’s not my fault.”

When you all made it back to the daycare, Moon sent out a message telling Freddy to “pick up the creature he calls a child”. Sun carried you into their little room, giving you your overnight duffel bag and shooing you off to change. As soon as you were out in your pajamas, they were sweeping you into bed, one on each side of you. You fell asleep surrounded by your favorite people, knowing you had to work in the morning.

The next morning you sat at your desk, going through emails while the twins finished their last preparations and pushed each other off large structures. You let out a yell something along the lines of “don’t make me come up there”. Hearing Moon mock you as Sun mysteriously fell off the balcony into the ballpit. A knock on the heavy wooden doors had the twins appearing next to you from behind the security desk. You turned around, staring at them. They ignored you, glaring at the door as though whoever was entering was far more important than the fact that they just broke their programming again. You sighed.

“Come in!” you shouted, followed by immediate shushing from the twins.

Freddy walked in with a very guilty looking Gregory, cheeks pink with shame.

“Hello Y/N, Sun, Moon,” Freddy said warmly, nodding his head in greeting. “Gregory here would like to say something.”

“‘m sorry for being a little bi-menace,” he corrected, Sun already sighing behind you, “And sorry for saying you were fucking the daycare attendants.” A bang followed by an ‘ow’ from Sun told you he almost restarted again.

“Apology accepted, just try to tone it down a little, okay?” you smiled softly, watching Gregory pop up in relief.

“Forgiven…” Moon muttered, “for now.”

“It’s all good kiddo! Just try to do better, alright?” Sun apparently was over his shutdown and slight hatred for the preteen. Gregory nodded, before bouncing over to the security desk, leaning over to look at you.

“Now that I have another security member on my team,” he began, Moon grunting in offense, “I can move around even more now! I haven’t been able to see much of this place, ‘cause of, well, you,” he grinned. Moon shoved Gregory back across the desk by the face, the kid spluttering.

“No.”

“Oh come ooon Moon,” Gregory groaned, “Why not?”

“Don’t want you here.” Freddy stepped forward, seeing Gregory wasn’t going to back down.

“What Moon’s trying to say,” he started, getting the kid to look at him, “is that this is these three’s space. I’m sure you’ll be able to visit sometimes, but not without their permission, and leaving the second they say to. They would have reached out sooner if they weren’t so fond of their isolation.”

“We are not fond of isolation,” Sun huffed. Freddy looked at him.

“Last week I tried to say hello and you slammed into a wall trying to run away from me,” the bear raised an eyebrow, and Sun stiffened beside you. You ducked your head as you began laughing, only to get swatted by Sun.

“Well don’t laugh!” you heard Sun’s fans start up, rays spinning in embarrassment making a quiet whir  sound. Once you calmed down, you looked at Gregory again.

“Freddy’s right though, we aren’t overly fond of people barging into our space. I don’t know if you’ve met my guard dogs,” you’re pretty sure Moon showed Gregory his teeth from the way the kid paled and Freddy’s eyes narrowed, “but they’ve always kinda been this way.” Gregory nodded, apparently understanding what you meant. You glanced at your computer to see that the daycare was supposed to open in an hour and a half, meaning you had around fifteen minutes until people began walking through here. You stood up.

“Well, as much as I would love to get to know you more,” you began walking to the doors, “That will have to happen another time.” Gregory looked at his watch, letting out a swear in surprise.

“Goodbye Y/N. I’ll see you later,” you smiled.

“Goodbye Gregory. Sorry about the whole hanging you from the ceiling thing.”

“It’s okay,” and with that, he ran out of the room, followed by a very flustered Freddy. You closed the doors, and felt Moon hide his face in your neck, arms wrapping around you once more.

“Little rulebreaker has a lot to learn still,” he hummed. You scratched his head, and felt him kiss your shoulder.

“He’s twelve, Moon. Of course he’s got a lot to learn,” you sighed. “Well, should we get started?” Moon nodded against your neck, releasing you.

An hour later, the three of you stood in the middle of the daycare, the twins getting ready to go to the balcony. You kissed both your boys, squeezing their hands.

“Alright, let's do this.”

They flew to their balcony, and you sat at your desk.

It’s showtime.
