Work Text:

Fulgur being in a party with Uki invited would never be not awkward. Nobody knows, and nobody will ever doubt. Behind that family facade, remains of an already torn relationship between them. The way it ended wasn't pleasant, but it was kind of a freeing feeling for Fulgur. Away from the clutches of worry, though questioned with whether he was faithful and trusting enough.

Fulgur ran away from it. He didn't want to. He wanted to stay-, but he had to make himself feel the need to keep breathing.

Shu watched from his group, looking at the Cyborg who had his back to the wall, drink untouched, cupped in his metal hand. Fulgur looked awfully sad and quiet despite the loud party music in the background. That man was jolly and he was the type that would make sure to interact with people so they needn't worry about him, but now he's in his own mind.

Shu summoned one of his paper men, making his way to Fulgur. Fulgur turned to his shoulder when he felt a light tap, seeing the little paper man looking at him. Fulgur lifted his gaze and saw Shu, who had his head tilted to the side with question. Fulgur didn't know, but he wanted to cry. He...

Turning to the dancefloor, he saw Uki there. He was happy. He looked so happy without him. Shu followed Fulgur's gaze, seeing Uki who was dancing with somebody else in the crowded room. When he turned his sight back to Fulgur, th Cyborg was already leaving through the door with a single teardrop falling from his eye.

Shu placed his drink down, turning as to follow Fulgur- though was stopped by Luca. "Where are you going Shu?"

Shu stammered. "O-oh! I just saw Fuu-chan and I wanted to ask if we could play Valorant, you know?"

Luca smiled. "POG! Make sure you tell him I'll join, okay?"

Shu nodded, feeling his hand be set free. "Sure! Tell the others I'm with him then."

"No probs!" Luca waved Shu goodbye as the Sorcerer rushed to the door.

If Fulgur was a place, he would be a rooftop under a night sky, with the city visible in the open view. Beautiful, yet a cold feeling, though peaceful. Shu rushed up the stairs, noticing how the house attic stairs were left let down. Shu was determined that Fulgur was up there for sure.

He climed up to the attic, making sure to pull the stairs up so no one would follow. He turned to the opened attic window, the curtains flowing in with cold wind. "Fuu-chan..."

Fulgur sat on the tiled roof, eyes up to the stars. This was a comforting place for him. Silent with a good view. Blue like the feeling of an empty heart. He heard Shu's nearing footsteps towards him, deciding not to bother even looking at Sorcerer. It would be a pitiful sight to see Fulgur cry his eyes out.

"Under the Pisces moon?" Shu commented with a chuckle, sitting next to the cyborg.

Fulgur's night-tinted hair flowed with the wind, his other eye exposed to the stars glittering above. "Mhm." He hummed like a broken radio.

Shu pulled his knees towards him, resting his head as he looked at Fulgur. "What happened? Do you want to talk about it?"

"Do you want to listen?" Fulgur turned to the Sorcerer, eyes already red rimmed with tears as his lips shook with a forced smile.

Shu had a sorry look on his face. Fulgur looked so beaten up with that sad look, trying to be all okay and fine. Shu placed his hand on Fulgur's back, pulling the Cyborg a little closer. "Fuu-chan... It's me you're talking to."

"I don't why I ran away..." Fulgur looked down, tears streaming down his cheeks gently. "Was I wrong...? Was it wrong for me to think that way...?"

Shu's brows furrowed deeper as more painful tears left Fulgur's eyes. He may have part robot in his body, yet his heart is still beating with human emotions. Shu pulled him into a hug, not minding the weight difference they had.

"Let it out... Hey, sometimes supporters need support too." Shu tried to cheer Fulgur up, but it seemed to have made the situation worst. Guess the topic wasn't about that.

"Hey, Fuu-chan, you know you can tell me anything." Shu smiled, combing through Fulgur's hair.

Fulgur was silent, but Shu could feel his tears wet his shirt. Fulgur was like a puppy quivering in the cold with his sad whimpers and shaking.

"It was stupid... It was a stupid feeling Shu..." Fulgur shut his eyes tight, monochrome diamonds streaming down his canvas.

"I may have been the first, but it would feel awkward for me to have a line of others..." Shu flinched, finally understanding the situation.

"Oh, Fuu-chan..." Fulgur let out a light yet snotty chuckle. "I kept my distance 'cause I knew he didn't like me with nobody else... I couldn't help it, I went through hell..."

Shu pulled Fulgur closer, closing his eyes as emotions of pity and anger swirled within his system of feelings. "Are you still with him...?"

Fulgur shook his head, clutching unto Shu's shoulder with one hand as he continued to shake his head.

"It hurted, Shu... So much... What would you feel like, seeing someone else love what's yours when you try your best to stay loyal to them...? It's like it was game from the beginning..." Fulgur sobbed quietly, eyes pained and shattered as tears made his pupils shine.

Shu stroked Fulgur's hair, listening to what he had to say. He had to listen. "I couldn't help it, it put me through hell... And when I wanted to confront him it- I couldn't say anything 'cause I kept thinking to myself if I was just not trusting him enough or what?! I don't even know anymore!" He laughed at himself.

"I could've asked him why he broke my heart. I could've told him that I fell apart... But he walked past me like I wasn't there- and just pretended like he didn't care..." Fulgur took his collar, wiping his pathetic tears away.

He lifted himself away from Shu, allowing the Sorcerer to see him and his tearfilled luminescent eyes. Shu extended his hand, scaring Fulgur as he wiped his tears.

Fulgur ended up crumbling as he took Shu's hand, pressing it against his cheek. "Was I wrong...? That I wanted to let go even if he told me a hundred times that I was the first...?"

Shu exhaled, his other hand pushing Fulgur's hair to the side. "I don't know what to say, Fuu-chan... I'm sorry..."

"I want to stay but... but I... I'm so jealous, Shu... But I think he deserves someone better..." "You're wrong." Fulgur's eyes snapped at Shu, taking sight upon the Sorcerer's sorry gaze.

"It would feel shitty if that ever happened to me. Just thinking about it happening to me now scares and pains me. To know you're going through it... I couldn't guess how much it must hurt." Shu looked down with glimmering eyes.

Fulgur gritted his teeth as he lowered his gaze to his lap. He told himself he fucked up, by letting someone know. He should've kept this to himself. He should've just drank and put up a facade. He-

"It must hurts so much, Fuu-chan..." Fulgur lifted his head, eyes widening when he saw Shu crying after him.

"E-eyy...? Why are you crying now...?" Fulgur took a handkerchief out, wiping Shu's tears, but Shu pushed his hand away with a laugh.

"No... I hate the thought of being in a dedicated relationship and the other is just going around, knowing they have such a loyal- and nice, and caring, and loving significant other- What else are you lacking?" Shu laughed, patting Fulgur's shoulder.

Shu smiled, pulling the Cyborg in for a hug. "Fuu-chan, I don't have a comment about your relationship but- I think you're the one that deserves better."

Fulgur was silent, hands on the tiled roof as support so he wouldn't end up crashing unto the roof with Shu beneath him. The Sorcerer's words circled around his brain, thoughts coming in like slow carts of coal.

"I love Uki, I really do... Infidelity will always be the cause of break-ups, no?" Fulgur chuckled, shuffling as he sat next to Shu.

"He thinks it's so easy? Fucking with my serious feelings? I wouldn't mind if he had one coming and one right now..."

"Don't act like you've moved on. Body for body is petty. I'm just surprised we haven't noticed this." Shu looked down, guilty he didn't notice his co-support staff was not feeling well.

Fulgur laid down, eyes closed as the paint of pain dried and disappeared on his face. "Hey, It's fine. If you guys did know, it might stain both our legacies."

"Hey, Fuu-chan, can you sit up real quick?" Fulgur opened his eyes, cocking his brows. "Sure...?"

He sat up, allowing Shu to turn him around. Shu gathered Fulgur's hair, combing his bangs back as he tied it with an elastic band. Fulgur reached out to comb his bangs back down but Shu's paper man slapped his hand down.

"I don't want you to go cutting your hair off as a move on process. Just tie it up, Fuu-chan." Shu smiled, tightening the band. "There."

Fulgur frowned. "But my face would be more exposed." Shu turned him around, tucking the remaining hair behind Fulgur's ear. "But you're pretty. Why would you want to hide that beauty?"

"S-shut up, Shu!" Fulgur laughed, hiding behind his hands. "What? Are you flustered just at that?" Shu pushed his shoulder playfully.

Fulgur and Shu stayed silent for moments, looking at each other with no thoughts in present. The sky continued to glow as the earth rotated in time, the air gathering in cold yet they feel warm in each others hands. This night where the stars are asleep, felt like a clumsy promise between white and purple.

"You're the best support anyone would ever ask for, Shu. That's why I guess you're the one and only Shupport." Fulgur smiled with his eyes closed, tightening his hold om Shu's hand.

"Say, Fuu-chan... This place is our start line." Fulgur opened his eyes head tilted to the side. "Our start line?"

Shu smiled. "The starlight of this night we saw together... Don't forget this night. You can't forget this place." Shu looked into Fulgur's eyes, glistening with sincerity.

Fulgur smiled, nearing his forehead to Shu's. He hummed with a simper. "When it eventually comes to nothing... If all the dreams become memories... I think I'll forget how to laugh."

He lifted his hand, tangling his fingers with Shu's hair. "I will remember us here. We were stars this day. A little song left on this rooftop, I won't forget, forever."

Shu smiled, closing his eyes. "Hey, we're Fuuport and Shupport. Together we'll be Ful-Shupport. Let's make others happy, okay? Let's make each other happy."

"Mhm." Fulgur chuckled. "You're the best, Shu." Shu laughed after him. "It's us, Fuu-chan. It'll be alright, you have to love yourself first. I'll be here for ya!"

Fulgur smirked. "I'm here for you too, Shu-chan." Shu stood up, letting his hand out for the Cyborg. "Hopcon Valo later."

Fulgur reached out for Shu, standing up as he pulled the Sorcerer. "Let's go!"

They walked back to the window, entering as they continued to chat.

Fulgur was the last to enter, smiling as he turned to look to his right. "Did you enjoy eavesdropping, Voxxy?"

The demon's white teeth gleamed in the dark as he stepped out with his arms crossed. "So... That's what happened to you?"

Shu sighed with a smile, also crossing his arms. "I knew you worry about Fulgur."

Vox lifted his arms, waving his right hand. "He's my chew toy, of course I want him in the best condition." He said walking over as he wrapped his arm around Fulgur's shoulder.

"Keep this between us three." Fulgur begged.

"Whatever you say tin-man." Vox smirked. Shu smiled sincerely, taking Fulgur's hand. "Of course."

Notes:

We all need a little sweetness in our lives, that's why we have ShuGur. Voxxy cares for Fulgur, shut up.
