'Just tell him Ingo, it won't be that bad. After all, Emmet's your brother, despite the occasional fight he loves you dearly.' He paced around in the bathroom, hands trembling as he tried not to psych himself out. Slender hands gingerly touched the ace bandages that were wrapped around his upper torso before the pacing stopped and he threw on a dress shirt that he had raided from Emmet's dresser. He hoped his twin didn't mind. It had taken a lot of courage for him to even do that. Clad in a white dress shirt and a pair of black dress pants he stared at his reflection in the mirror, once again trembling in fear. "Calm yourself, Ingo." He said aloud, his shoulders relaxing upon hearing him say his new name. He liked the name Ingo, it suited him! "Bravo, Ingo. You got this." He told his reflection, a hand runing through his sloppily chopped silver locks.
Stepping outside the bathroom, he nearly ran into Emmet, his face turning a deep shade of red from embarassment. "O-oh brother!" He stammered, the younger twin flashing him a confused look.
"[Redacted]? What are you doing with my shirt, and what happened to your hair? It is verrrrrry choppy looking."
'Here goes nothing.' He thought, taking a deep breath in an attempt to surpress the anxiety building up inside him. "Emmet, yes, about that- I was wondering if by chance you would like a brother instead of a sister?" He rubbed the back of his neck, his brain set to fight or flight should this go wrong. Oh it was going to go wrong, Emmet was going to hate him he-
The smiling teen embraced his sibling in a warm hug causing Ingo to tense up for a moment before returning the hug. "Of course, I would love to have a brother, but what should I call you?" He asked, letting out a chuckle as he heard his sis- no, brother let out a sob.
"I-ingo." He managed to choke out, sniffling. He pulled away from the embrace, tears of happiness in his eyes. Emmet's smile reached his eyes, and Ingo's own expression matched his brothers, a very rare smile from the frowning man. "Th-thank you!" He whispered, wiping tears from his eyes.
"I've always wanted a brother!" Emmet said. Ingo knew he had made the right decision. Now it was time to live as his authentic self.
