November 1st 1981
The Sun rises over Privet Drive and as the denizens of the neighborhood wake up and begin their day, as many of them come outside they hear the sound of a baby crying; several of them come out to investigate and see little Harry Potter bundled up on the doorstep of number four Privet Drive crying out for attention.
The neighbors immediately hand young Harry Potter to one of the mothers in the crowd who has a baby of her own to take care of him, while another neighbor knocks on the front door of number 4 Privet Drive, concerned as no one answers after several minutes of knocking a call is made to emergency services. Another neighbor goes around back to see if they can see anyone in the back of the house. The neighbor returned not seeing any lights on nor any movement within the house, worried murmuring began as many were wondering if something had happened to the Dursleys, knowing they were home the night before, and thus decided to wait out for emergency services to arrive.
One of the more gossiping neighbors trying to discover the identity of the young baby left on the doorstep finds the letter in the basket addressed to Petunia and opens it the neighbor suddenly yells out that the boy's name is Harry Potter and whoever has written this letter talks as if magic is real and some evil wizard murdered Harry's parents seemingly dying after failing to kill harry and that petunia is required to take in Harry to protect him because of Lily sacrifice until he is old enough to return to the Wizarding World, The neighbors start murmuring words like magic, wizarding World, etc, Arabella Figg who had recently joined the crowd overhears this and runs back home to try and floo call Dumbledore who is at the ministry still dealing with the aftermath of Voldemort's defeat and does not realize that a potential breach of the Statue of secrecy is happening.
Soon enough emergency services arrive at number 4 Privet Drive and ask what is happening the neighbors begin to explain that they were alerted to The cry of a young infant who they found on the doorstep of number 4 Privet Drive and that no one had answered the door nor had anyone seen anyone in the rear of the house after they checked around back and we're concerned something that happened to the Dursley family who they had known were at home the night before as a result the officers call for more backup and for child protective services to arrive along with some paramedics.
A few minutes later several more officers arrive and they walk up to the door of number 4 Privet Drive to perform a wellness check at first receiving no answer after knocking on the front door and patio door they proceed to break open both doors and enter the house with some paramedics the officers call out for the Dursley family and receive no answer finding no one downstairs they proceed upstairs and open the bedroom doors eventually finding the bodies of the Dursley family, the paramedic's attempt to resuscitate them to no avail and declares them deceased having died of carbon monoxide poisoning.
At the same time the officers enter the house another officer has the young mother hand over Harry Potter to a paramedic to check up on him shortly after one of the officers exits the house and notifies everyone that the Dursley family has died.
While the officers are dealing with everything one of them investigates the letter that was inside his basket, the contents of the letter which had been bandied about by The neighbors raise concern with the officer and report it to his superiors over the radio one of whom has a connection to the ministry of magic and notifies them what is occurring.
The harried clerk who receives the memo notifies her supervisor who prepares to dispatch the ministry obliviators and aurors to the scene before notifying Dumbledore who is still at the ministry. Dumbledore immediately drops what he's doing and heads to number 4 Privet Drive to secure young Harry Potter.
Shortly thereafter Albus Dumbledore arrives at number 4 Privet Drive finding the obliviators and Aurors securing the scene he proceeds to try and find out what is going on and is informed that the Dursley family has died of carbon monoxide poisoning and it was only because of the infant Harry Potter's crying that the neighbors were made aware sooner Albus is now concerned as the protection Lily Potter had made are now useless due to petunia being deceased and Harry Potter is now at risk being unprotected and heads over to Young Harry Potter to check up on him and ensure his safety before finding another place for him to live.
Unbeknownst to Albus Dumbledore and the ministry obliviators and aurors, several death eaters at the ministry had overheard what was occurring and got ahold of Bellatrix Lestrange who along with her husband brother-in-law, and Barty Crouch Jr was preparing to go and torture the Longbottom family for information as to The disappearance of the dark lord.
Snarling at the lower ranked death eater as to what was so important considering that their Master had disappeared and that this had better be important. the death eater begins notifying her as to what is happening along with the location of young Harry Potter who was responsible for The disappearance and possible death of the Dark Lord. Shouting in Triumph at the information received Bellatrix calls together as many of the other death eaters as possible and heads over to number four Privet Drive.
5 minutes after Dumbledore and the ministry's arrival Bellatrix Lestrange and 20 other death eaters arrive at number 4 Privet Drive and begin attacking the crowd.
As Dumbledore is heading over to Harry Potter who is being held in the ambulance, He suddenly hears "Avada Kedavra" Yelled out the sickly green light of the killing curse hitting someone in the crowd as the death eaters cast curses which begin striking the Aurors, obliviators and bystanders alike, Albus begins running over to young Harry in the ambulance as quickly as possible, as flashes of light fly overhead explosions bring out and rubble is flying amidst the screaming crowd Albus reaches the ambulance just as the paramedic attending to Harry Potter is struck with the killing curse Albus with a feat of agility for one as old as himself jumps into the rear of the ambulance grabbing Harry and calls Fawkes,
Just as Fawkes arrives Bellatrix Lestrange appears and casts the killing curse which Dumbledore blocks with a block of stone.
Fawkes flames Dumbledore and young Harry away, the last thing Dumbledore sees is Bellatrix Lestrange's snarling face and her yelling you can't hide the boy forever I will find him and kill him and the Dark Lord will return.
