Work Text:
Tony was sitting in his living room with the news on, and listening to AC/DC, but Pepper changed it to Shania Twain, and walked away.
“What was that for?” he asked, confused.
She walked back and pushed her hair behind her ear, “I like Shania Twain.”
“But, you weren’t gonna listen to it.”
“So?”
“So...what’s the point?” he asked, utterly confused. “Seriously, why?”
“Anyway- “
“No. Why did you change it??”
“I don’t like AC/DC,” she said with an annoyed smile. She didn’t mind AC/DC, but she was trying to work and she couldn’t concentrate with loud rock music playing in the other room.
“Well, you should’ve said so.”
“Go hang out at the bar or something! I’m trying to work.” she suggested. He turned off the music and got up. He walked up to Pepper and grabbed her hands.
“Come with me.”
“No. I’ve got too much work to do.”
He frowned. “You're boring. I guess I’ll just go by myself but it’s your fault if I get drunk.”
“You’d get drunk even if I was there.” she poked his chest.
“True. I’ll go to the bar and you go do your boring work.”
“Ok. Now go. I’ve got tons of work.”
He grabbed his keys and started walking out the door. “I’ll be back in a few hours.” he said as he closed the door.
Sometimes she wonders if the man is ok.
