A Day In The Life Of Martele

Summary:

Writing about my ocs

Work Text:

5:30 am.

The 19 year old boy woke up at this time everyday. Only this time he was impossibly tired. He blinked, trying to regain his conciousness. A sigh left his lips as he moved onto his back, staring up at the dark ceiling of the room. His brown eyes glanced over to the window, disappointed at still seeing the night.

Finally not feeling like passing out, he sat up, yawning and stretching his limbs. Even though he hated waking up before the sun came out, he liked the quietness of the night, mentally preparing himself for the day ahead.

He took his phone off the charger, grinning slightly at seeing the 100 percent at the top corner. He layed back down to rest his back, inputting the password before exploring. First he checked his calender.

The only thing on his schedule was a newly opened food store he was attending with his two sisters later today. He smiled, glad at the easy day. Hopefully nothing major was happening after that.

He then opened a private server, logging in before checking in on his friends. All five of them were in a voice chat listening to music and well, chatting. He pursed his lips, thinking, before going in to say hi.

His first friend, her username was TiredSeahorse spoke at seeing his name pop up. They all were obviously surprised at seeing him up this early. She was the one who had her camera on, seeming to be sketching a portrait of herself.

He greeted all of them, his mood brightening at hearing his friends having fun. He didn't get to see them often, but was grateful for being there.

He left shortly after. Getting up from his very comfy bed, he started getting ready for the day. He switched on his bedside lamp, before leaving to the bathroom. After doing his business in there, he picked out an outfit. A short sleeved pastel tye dye shirt with maroon ripped jeans and white sneakers.

After putting it on, he brushed his long brown hair slowly, smoothing out any curly bits from sleeping. He winced as the brush snagged on a particularly stubborn piece of hair, ripping it out. The boy cursed, opting to just forget about it.

When that was done, he chose a familiar blue and yellow headband, placing it gently on his head. He smiled at the mirror, really liking this look. Simple, but really comfortable. He looked at the time, blinking.

He realized he had nowhere to go this early. He sighed heavily, picking up his phone and leaving the room. Now downstairs, he grabbed a mug out the cabinet, deciding to make tea.

After he made it, he plopped on the couch, switching on the TV. The news played, talking about the shops opened just recently and a whole group of cats getting adopted at the same time. He dipped mindlessly at the mug, just as his puppy, Mari, came trotting up to him. He ran a hand through her fur, grounding himself.

After that small peaceful moment, he decided to go out. He looked out the window, gauging the weather. It was very windy, he guessed from the trees leaves by his house moving slightly. He grabbed a jacket from the coat rack, his keys, and a collar.

The boy secured it around her neck, swiftly avoiding her tongue trying to lick his face. He did not want to drool on his face today. He patted his legs, Mari jumping up into his arms. He left the quiet house, locking the door before heading to his car.

8:00 am.

The boy opened the driver's seat, Mari jumping out of his arm before sitting down. She sat in the back patiently, her tail wagging. He started the car, switching to an appropriate music station, before heading off.

Arriving at the cafe he wanted to go to,  he parked somewhere close, picking up Mari and getting out. A few heads turned his way, greeting him politely. He did the same. The heat of the place warmed him up slightly, placing the excited puppy down. He stared at the menu first before ordering.

Choosing a pumpkin spice latte, a donut box and a few dog treats, he sat down. Looking through his phone as he ate. His friends were, not surprisingly, still in the voice chat. They were always there for long periods of time. Mari sat on the floor, munching on her food. He pet her gently.

10:00 am.

The boy checked in with his sisters. They were doing fine as always. The oldest was preparing for the festival, chatting his ear off. The youngest was just enjoying his company. Seeing them happy was heartwarming.

Now at home until it started 3 hours later in the day, he decided to take a small nap. Mari lay beside him, licking her front paws. The boy ran a hand through her coat of fur, mind drifting off to somewhere else.

Somehow he was nervous. It was just a food festival but his thoughts were running wild. He grimaced, shoving his feeling down. He was going to have a good time. Falling asleep shortly after..
