Work Text:
A long day ahead of them, T felt like throwing up even thinking about it. They had to go to the studio and work on their new album, had a photoshoot and interview on top of it. It sounded like hell and it probably was going to be ten times worse. He blames managment for pushing everything to this day alone. Even though they all complained to multiple people about it, nothing was changed and the schedule stayed the same. He thought maybe Robaire could be able to convince them but that was no use either. Great.
Now getting in their makeup, T focuses on being calm and not causing anything wrong throught the day. His makeup artist was very chatty like him, so they started talking casually. It made him get his mind off of things and feel much better about all of this.
As he looked around the room, a pair of light brown eyes caught his attention. They were on him, watching him very carefully but not in a creepy way. Z could never be creepy even if he wanted to anyways, being the huge dork that he was. They exchanged smiles and somehow that lifted a little weight off his shoulders.
He was going to get through the day just fine, he promised himself.
He was, in fact, not getting through the day just fine.
They were in the studio, exchanging ideas about the theme of the album, writing lyrics, humming little melodies. And it could be relaxing, if it weren't for their manager telling them that they now have a deadline, which wasn't too near but was still worth worrying. It made T think how much worse this day could get.
He couldn't even complain, considering everyone was the same as him. He didn't want to annoy them by acting like a kid. So he gathered up everything he felt and put it in a mental jar. That was the only way he could be productive and actually helped his bandmates, and he wasn't just gonna sit there and bitch about how tired and emotionally drained he was. He was gonna take it like the way he's supposed to.
He kind of did take it well, and when he didn't Z was there with him. Checking on him occasionally, making sure he's okay, asking him if he would want a break. It was sweet and made him worry a little less about everything.
The day had finally ended and they were free, after that nightmarish fourteen hours everyone was completely exhausted out of their minds. Their driver pulled up in front of the studio, the members dragging their feet trying to get to the car.
As they were getting in the car, Z sat right next to T. It wasn't surprising, they always sat together but this time the distance between them was almost non-existent. It made him feel the dancer's warmth, comforting him to almost a sleepy state. He decided to put his head on Z's shoulder, relaxing into the man's touch.
The engine growled, the wheels started to turn and Z held T's hand firmly. He looked up to the light brown eyes, just to be greeted by the most reassuring smile he's ever gotten. T felt himself melt at the amount of comfort the man gave him. It was crazy, considering not a word left his lips. Just his presence alone made T feel warm and relaxed.
They approached the part of town they all lived in. They didn't stay together but their houses were really close to one another due to members just wanting to be near their closest friends, which was each other. It was kind of cute.
First person that needed to be dropped off was Z, which left a very bad taste in the shorter man's mouth. He didn't want to let his comfort zone go but he didn't want to annoy him either, both options ending in T losing. He always felt like he needed to keep what he wanted to himself in order to not seem selfish and childish.
The wheels stopped turning, the roaring of the engine stopped abruptly. This was it, Z needed to go. He got off of his shoulder, put a distance between them as much as possible so he could stand up easier.
But he didn't. Instead, he told the driver kindly to keep going. The members, looking almost dead at this point, payed him no mind while T looked at him confused.
"Where are you gonna stay at?" he whispered, not wanting to wake up Robaire who was passed out on his seat already.
Instead of a response from the man, all T got was Z pulling him closer again, holding his hand and squeezing it a little. T felt like that was supposed to be a response but his tired and stressed brain just couldn't connect the dots.
Five minutes later, Jesse and Robaire were already off the car now, both saying their goodbyes. Leaving him, Z and Tae together. He was next in line, seeing his house from the car window already.
"Goodbye guys." he said as the car stopped once more and he got ready to leave. He opened the door and stepped out carefully, only to see Z step out with him.
"Yeah, goodbye, Tae." said Z, picking both T's and his bags. T gaped as he watched the man smile and fucking wink at him.
Tae, who was a decaying corpse until now, looked at them both and with an evil smile on his face, said; "Have fun!"
T felt like he was beat red, from both embarrassment and fury.
"He definitely thought we were gonna do something else!" he whined with frustration. Z laughed at how panicked his boyfriend was being while putting down their bags.
"So what? It's not like we don't do it." and that earned him a pillow on the face. "That means war, Aaron."
T flopped on the bed, immediately relaxing into the softness. "To hell with your war. I'm too tired to even think."
"Yeah, so tired you forgot I'm your boyfriend and stay at your place all the time." the dancer teased while he was looking in the closet for something to wear. He found a sleeveless t-shirt and a pair of shorts of his and picked some clothes for his boyfriend too, almost throwing them at him. T groaned out of annoyance, slowly getting up and changing into something more comfortable.
While he was doing all that, he also stole a few glances of Z's back. As the dancer turned his face to him he could see the smile he had on, it was pure evil. "Pervert."
"You're the one to talk." T says with a pout, throwing himself to the bed once again. He feels his muscles ache and his bones tremble, which is probably not a good thing. He hates overworking himself.
Z lays down with him, throwing his arm around the other man's waist. And as their chests are pressed together, Aaron feels a wave of relaxation hit him. It's almost euphoric, making his already fogged up mind more foggy, in the best way possible.
"You're really cute." the dancer says, giving his boyfriend a peck on his forehead. T giggles, looking into the light brown eyes of his lover. A soft smile on both their faces, the moment so special and private between them.
"This whole day felt like a fucking nightmare." T whispers against his boyfriend's lips, his voice dripping in exhaustion. "Thank you for being there for me when I needed it. You were really cool."
"You know I couldn't do that if you weren't around." Z said in the same volume. T leaned in for a kiss, smiles filled with joy on their faces.
The kiss was short and sweet, exactly what they needed in the moment.
"I love you." he said, almost immediately getting the response of "I love you, too." from the love of his life.
The last thing they felt before falling asleep was each other's warmth, the best thing they have ever felt.
