Battle Simulation

Summary:

The question of who would win is always a unique question, with many results. However, i believe that I'll throw my hat into the ring on this, and see where it goes.

Notes:

Battle Simulation rules

• Characters have only cannon knowledge of each other.
• Battles will be random encounters with each other or have no time to learn about each other’s abilities except that they both exist.
• No outside help unless a character is bringing an ally with them (Like symbiote wielders or Jinchuuriki) or the character has the power to directly summon an ally.
• Characters are in character with all their morals.
• Interesting matchups will be relatively equalized if it would be a stomp or use the most even versions of the characters, so if character A would be slower than B, character A would still be slower, but can keep up.
• In universe forms of energy will be equalized in how they work/interact with each other, so a characters full range of abilities can be used to the full effect.
• Only canon material and standard equipment will be used, but the best versions of standard equipment.
• No composite characters created by different interpretations.
• Battles don’t need to be to the death and sealing and battlefield removal will grant victory.
• Customizable characters will have access to the skills and equipment they have access to in my playthroughs or ones from Youtubers that I feel is a powerful set.
• Game characters can have access to their new game plus and DLC feats if they are canon or don’t contradict anything in the story.
• Characters who can reincarnate will still be categorized as the loser should they die and it takes time for them to return (example: Hazbin Hotel Sinners), but if they can come back instantly, they will need to permanently killed to lose by death (example: Frisk and Chara from Undertale).
• Fan characters will rarely be used if I think their fight is good.
• Battles will take place in an environment and setting that I think would be the most likely.
• More rules can be suggested to improve the fights.
• If a character is capable of mind control and their opponent has not shown resistances to such an ability, I will be assuming that raw will power can let them fight it off for a bit if I think they have that level of will (example: Tanjiro Kamado being able to resist some level of mind control, considering he had the mental fortitude and will to kill himself multiple times in a short time frame without hesitation to escape Enmu's Blood Demon Art). This is largely to prevent an instant win through mind control, but won't remove the ability from a character's arsenal.
• In order to better describe how a character fights, I will be using the main 7 Lightsaber combat forms from Star Wars to do so. This is largely thanks to me not knowing many fighting styles that a character may use, and this seems like an easy way to describe and portray a character's skill.
• If a transformation or ability that increases power does not have a confirmed power increase or I am unable to find it, I will assume that these increases will be a 2x boost or assume that these increases are relative to the transformations or power ups of their opponent.
• During times when I need to calculate a character's speed, I will be assuming that a Speed Blitz is a 5x greater speed level than the other character showed at that point, as it is a fair middle ground for the most based on the around 6 times difference between the minimum value for average human speed and the minimum value for Subsonic from VS Battles Wiki, and the around 3 times difference between the minimum value between Peak human speed and the minimum value for Subsonic speed.
• With the exceptions of certain abilities or techniques that allow for a one shot despite a severe gap in strength between characters, I will consider a difference of 7.5 times to be needed to one shot a character despite their opponent's durability (exceptions being made where it is needed).

Chapter Text

MCU Spider-Man vs Ruby Rose (Volume 8)

“Ah, hello everyone! This is a minor written series that I am going to indulge in every now and again to share my opinion on which characters would win in a battle between each other. I hope you all enjoy this battle, but first, since this is our first battle, why don’t we introduce our combatants…” A shadowed man greets before setting up to holographic screens, zooming in on the left one.

MCU Spider-Man History Summery

“Peter Benjamin Parker is currently a teenager born in August 10, 2001, who gained access to his powers at an unknown time frame and decided to become a hero. Some time after this event, Peter would be visited by Tony Stark, who would quickly become impressed with the young hero and seeing that he wouldn’t give up the mask, Tony enlisted Peter to help against Captain America and his group of rogue Avengers. Successfully defeating both Falcon and Buckey Barnes, holding his ground against Captain America and helping defeat the giant-sized Ant-Man, Peter became injured and was sent back home personally by Tony under the guise that he was having a Stark internship. Some time later, Peter would come across underground weapon trades consisting of items from the Chitauri and Ultron drones, he would investigate, which would eventually lead to Tony taking Peters suit due to his reckless actions and Peter discovering that the father of his crush and Homecoming date was the Vulture, a foe he had encountered a number of times. Despite being threatened and knowing that he would be leaving his date, Peter confronted the Vulture and was able to eventually defeat him and be offered a position on the Avengers, but would turn it down after his adventure. A few weeks or months later, Earth would be invaded by the Black Order of Thanos’ army, where Peter would leave the bus he was on to help fight back, and after heading into space, he would ultimately be killed with 50% of all life in the universe, but would be revived 5 years later and Tony sacrificing his life to kill 2014 Thanos and his army, who arrived in the future. About 8 months later, Peter would become pressured by the media and a Skrull taking the form of Nick Fury to become the new Iron Man, which Mysterio took advantage of to trick Peter into giving him the Edith glasses, but despite giving them, Peter was able to discover the lie and confronts Mysterio on London bridge and stop him, though the villain died from his injuries. However, Mysterio was able reveal Peters identity and blame him for his crimes, causing his friends and family to be hurt as a consequence, so he asked Doctor Strange to help, resulting in the use of a spell that would make everyone forget that Peter was Spider-Man, but Peter’s desire for those he loves would mess up the spell, resulting in enemies from other worlds that learnt his identity and once learning that they would die, he fought Doctor Strange and would try to help the villains. Despite freeing the mind of Otto Octavious from his mechanical arms, the Green Goblin AKA Norman Osborn, would convince the rest to attack and keep their power, resulting in the death of Aunt May. Getting the help of other versions of himself, Peter would cure the rest of the villains and send them home, but at the price of everyone forgetting Peter Parker, where he would get his own suit and swing out into the night, where his story will continue.”

Ruby Rose History Summery

“Ruby Rose is currently a 17-year-old teenage girl who would train for years under he Uncle Qrow to become a Huntress. At the age of 15, she would encounter the infamous thief, Roman Torchwick, where she would try to stop his current robbery on a Dust Shop and for her efforts, would be allowed into Beacon Academy early by the headmaster. Going through initiation, she would become the young leader of Team RWBY, who for the next year would stop Roman’s operations and eventually capture him, but this would result in Cinder’s forces making Yang, Ruby’s older sister, attack Mercury after she had bested him in a tournament and cause the creatures of Grimm to overtake Vale, resulting in Pyrrha’s death at the hands of Cinder Fall, where Ruby would awaken to the power of the Silver Eyes and would gravely injure Cinder. She would then leave to Mistral with the remains of Team JNPR, but her uncle Qrow would be poisoned by a foe named Tyrian, but they would arrive in Mistral in time and cure the poison before he could be killed. During a wait before they are to attack a Bandit tribe, Team RWBY would be reunited and would successfully fend off their enemies and take the relic of knowledge. On the trip to Atlas, the group would learn the truth behind Ozpin and learn that Salem was immortal, resulting in the group resenting and belittling the millennia old soul and causing him to retreat into his current hosts mind and the group would be able to steal a ship and reach Atlas, where General Ironwood would welcome and ask what has become of Ozpin, only for Ruby to hide the truth. Getting upgrades and helping both Mantle and Atlas, the group would eventually have to fight off a Grimm invasion led by Salem where their lies would be revealed. The group would then beat the Ace Ops and escape, with Ruby and her part of the group getting Amity Colosseum into the air and send a warning to the people of Remnant of Salem’s existence. However, Penny would be hacked, leading to the group to use the Staff of Creation to give her a human body to save her life and use another dimension to get the people of Mantle and Atlas to Vacuo, but Cinder would surprise the group with Neo’s help, resulting in Team RWBY being defeated and sent into the void, with Cinder betraying Neo as she and Ruby are sent into the void together. Likely thinking she has nothing to lose, Neo would try to kill Ruby while they are falling, taking the forms of Ruby’s friends as she tried to kill the teenager, but would fail. Waking up, Ruby would find herself in an unknown Beach like area and would walk away, where her story will continue.”

Physicality

MCU Spider-Man

“Now that we have finished the introduction of our combatants, I believe that we should begin analysing their capabilities. Starting off with the young superhero, Peter has actually demonstrated a number of feats that are surprisingly impressive. For example, when it comes to physical strength, Peter has been able to lift the weight of an airport ramp with great effort, effortlessly caught and overpowered the Winter Soldiers mechanical arm, was able to keep a cut in half ferry from falling apart for a good few second with only his strength and a few webs, lifted a destroyed building likely made of concrete off of him, can redirect a falling plane into a beach while exhausted and fighting off the Vulture and the air trying to send him flying, could casually stop a strike from Cull Obsidian when his weapon is in the form of a hammer while Cull is trying to kill Iron Man, can stagger Thanos with his punches, help restrain a weakened Thanos, take out hoards of outriders by himself, stop the fall of a collapsing building, get repeatably slammed into the ground, resist the force from sonic blasts of Stark drones, with inferior Sonic weaponry models being able to effect the Hulk, fight against Doctor Octopus’ mechanical arms, temporarily fought off Sandman, Green Goblin, the Lizard and Electro by himself for a short time, fought them all again with the aid of two other Spider-Man while being exhausted and possessing broken ribs and overpower the Green Goblin while enraged. Peter has also been shown to react and avoid bullets from point blank range, attacks from the Vulture who can easily catch up to an already in air airplane, meteors launched from the moon by the power of the Power Stone while going through re-entry, which were able to reach Titan’s surface in seconds, avoid lasers, react to and dodge the mechanical arms of Doctor Octopus, which can keep up with Solar prominences from a close range for a time, dodge electricity from an amped Electro in both his energy form and in possession of an ARK reactor and dodge attacks from Green Goblin, who has shown he scales above Spider-Man in their first fight thanks to his ability to react and overpower Peter’s attacks. Spider-man is also able to take a lot of damage and keep fighting, being able to take explosions that can destroy small buildings, survive a concrete building collapsing on top of him, walk away from a plane crash while he was on top of it minutes later, can take hits from Cull, who is able to hurt Iron-Man through his Nano-tech armour, which can stand up to and endure a blast from the Power Stone for a short time, survive punches from Thanos himself, who can cause Endgame Thor to bleed and destroy Infinity War Iron-Man’s armour bit by bit, take point blank sonic blasts from STARK drones when inferior models can affect the Hulk, survive the Green Goblin’s pumpkin bombs from a point blank range to the face, survive blasts from an amped Electro, take blows from a giant sized Sand-Man and being hit and get sent flying through multiple busses by Shocker’s gauntlets, which are upgraded versions to the ones that Crossbones had in Civil War and get run over by trains. However, he has been shown to be hurt by normal bullets from normal guns and STARK drones, so piercing based weapons and bullets can likely cut through his flesh without needing to be on his level, suggesting that he can take most damage from blunt force-based attacks. As for Stamina, Peter was able to fight for two days straight with only a bit of rest and gaining broken ribs during the last few hours.”

Ruby Rose

“Ruby Rose, however, has been shown to drag a full grown Nevermore up the side of a cliff with the aid of her weapon and Weiss’ semblance, can cut through Grimm that can tank punches from her sister Yang, who can send people and Grimm flying through walls with ease and destroy mechs that can destroy support columns with a single punch with ease, physically keep with Grimm that can cause a Church roof to collapse with a singe hit by being able to block its attack and cut off the weakened tusk of a Grimm that Penny’s laser couldn’t cut through, with the use of all of them being able to easily cut through planes and this version likely being a bit stronger since the body Penny was using at the time was an upgraded version. Ruby’s speed though is nothing to scoff at, given that she is able to react and fight on par with lightning timers like Mercury and Emerald and with the use of her Semblance, is able to speed blitz her fellow lightning timers while also moving faster than a room full of humans can react. For her durability, Ruby is able to take an explosion that sent her flying, mechs capable of destroying stone columns, withstand attacks from Cinder Fall when she is trying to kill her while off guard, get sent flying through stone walls, tank numerous attacks from Harriet, who is able to destroy cave walls in a single strike, take multiple kicks from Mercury, who can physically match Yang in combat when he was a bit serious and attacks from Corvo’s mech, which can easily destroy cliffs with a single strike. Her stamina has also allowed her to fight a city full of monsters throughout a whole day and contain a Grimm breach the next day, but left completely exhausted by the end of it.”

Physicality conclusion

“The debate on their physical capabilities is truly an interesting one, for I doubt many people would deny MCU Spider-Man being the stronger of the two while Ruby is the faster, but how wide is that gap and which advantage is the most important? For strength, I believe that Peter isn’t astronomically stronger than Ruby herself, but where Ruby would be straining herself to overpower Peter, he would only require a full attention amount of focus to overpower the Huntress without much strain, similar to how he overpowered the Winter Soldier’s mechanical arm. This is even despite the argument of Peter’s greatest feats being undermined against Thanos potentially not taking him seriously, for the greater Sonic weapon technology he faced in Far From Home would grant him the strength needed to gain the physical strength edge needed since weaker models could affect the Hulk, even if it’s the weakest version in the MCU, added on top of keeping that ferry together for a bit, supporting the weight of the airport ramp and lifting the weight of a collapsed building off him, especially since Ruby’s greatest strength feats was with aid or using the recoil of her weapons firepower to deal more of an impact to cut through with her scythe. For speed, considering that Spider-Man is likely a lightning timer for the most part without his Spider-Sense helping him, base speed Ruby will be able to continuously tag Peter and the use of her Semblance will allow her to physically blitz Spider-Man if he is caught off guard, but he would be able to keep track of her. For durability, Peter will be able to tank more blunt force trauma than Ruby can thanks to his feats during Infinity War, Far From Home and No way Home, but there is an important factor that gives Ruby the edge, and that is that Ruby’s aura is what grants Ruby her physical abilities, and would allow her to not actually take real damage until her aura would break or is hit by an attack she wasn’t expecting, which would give Ruby the durability advantage while Spidey would take the Endurance side of the durability advantage thanks to how long he had been fighting in No Way Home against enemies at or above his level, while Ruby was left exhausted after 2 days of fodder White Fang and Grimm, with the stamina advantage still going to Spider-Man for the same reasons as he did for endurance. This leads me to the belief that Spider-Man deserves that edge in Physicality, since this is talking about what they can do by themselves with their bodies.”

Equipment

Spider-Man’s equipment

“For this battle, I will be removing Peter’s access to the Iron-Spider armour since I doubt many people would argue against Ruby being unable to pierce through the Nano-tech armour. For the suit that MCU Spider-Man is taking into this battle, I will use his suit during the events of No Way Home. Thanks to the Stark tech and being an upgraded version of his Homecoming suit, it is likely that his current suit has access to all of his Homecoming tech, so they will be allowed. Thanks to the Stark tech and his own web formula, Spider-Man’s webs have the tensile strength to keep a ferry from being split in half when used enough, keep Doctor Strange from being sucked into the vacuum of space, stop a building from falling and restrain Thanos for a short period of time when not using the infinity stones for his standard webs, having access to 576 different web combinations, but I’ll restrict him to the ones we know since that would have us assume too much otherwise. Outside of his standard webs through the straight-line ones and open webs, Spider-Man can use web grenades that can explode after launch in either the form of a web net or multiple web lines, Taser webs that send enough volts of electricity to neutralize a human, Splitter webs that can be used to hit multiple targets at once, Rapid fire webs that fire small web projectiles at a fast rate that stuns and restrains their target, Ricochet Webs that bounce off the initial target or surface to deal damage and stick to another target and Spider-Tracers that will let Spider-Man keep track of the hit target. His lenses allow Spider-Man a greater sense of depth while negating outside-stimuli while allowing him to see through different spectrums. The lenses also allow Spider-Man access to the HUD to see his web combinations and enhanced Radio signatures and analyse his surroundings while busy thanks to his A.I. companion, Karen. Spider-Man uses a utility belt to carry Web cartridges with him for whenever he runs out of web fluid in his web-shooters, he also has multiple different modes to use, such as his Enhanced Reconnaissance Mode that enhances his hearing and optics and Instant kill mode, though how it works with the base STARK tech suit is currently unknown outside of being designed to operate on a lethal level, web wings which grants him the ability glide through the air, a Parachute and a Nano-tech chest armour that minimally protects his chest, shoulders and back from attacks, with these pieces of Nanotech likely scaling to the Iron-Spider armour in durability.”

Ruby Rose’s equipment

“Ruby Rose carries her signature weapon in Crescent Rose, a custom-made High Calibre Sniper Rifle scythe transformative hybrid weapon. This weapon’s sharp blade takes the shape of a Crescent, having been able to cut through machines and powerful Grimm like tissue paper and be used to take advantage of its High Calibre Sniper Rifle parts to fire from a distance while rooting herself down with her weapons blade to negate recoil and having a shaft that can unfold for more cutting power through the use of a small, hook-like, double-pronged, jagged blade at the bottom of the shaft that also allows her to rotate through her weapons recoil. Crescent Rose’s blade can also take a War-Scythe mode for charging and impalement, can rotate the blade for quicker attacks without the need to fully spin and a rifle mode that takes the appearance of medium-length, bolt-action rifle for better use of her Sniper’s components for power-based shots over accuracy and using its recoil to avoid attacks at the same time. Now, because of her weapons Sniper components, Crescent Rose likely only holds up to 5 or 10 bullets per magazine at a time and is also able to make use of Dust ammo, being seen to use Fire, Gravity, and electric dust rounds, so she’ll only be allowed access to those rounds. Ruby’s use of Fire Dust shoots a projectile of fire that will spread and set flammable surfaces on fire, Electric Dust is used to shock a foe while sending them flying back and Gravity Dust is used to increase her cutting power further while sending her flying even further than a normal shot would.”

Equipment Conclusion

“This here is going to likely be a recurring debate throughout the series or this section, and that is quantity vs quality. While Ruby’s Crescent Rose can certainly cut through Spider-Man’s webs and the fire Dust can burn through the webs as well, these would be her only ways to counter Spider-Man’s versatility, for his various webs will be able to restrain Ruby’s movements and trap her if she is not careful and Karren will be able to assist Peter in keeping track of Ruby and should she try to hide in order to snipe Peter, Karren can use his other vision modes to easily find her while he avoids her bullets. Her Dust rounds also won’t help much considering that Electro’s electricity is greater than Ruby’s lightning Dust bullets and hitting Peter with Fire Dust will be incredibly difficult. The only Dust rounds that can be difficult for Spider-Man are the Gravity rounds, which Ruby uses to increase her cutting power and more around faster through the use of recoil from her weapon. Crescent Rose’s blade and bullets can do some damage, but the bullets are so much slower than Spider-Man, that it will be difficult to hit him with the Sniper rounds and the small the Nanotech he has can defend against both Crescent Rose’s blade and bullets. For that, I give Spider-Man the slight edge in equipment.”

Special abilities

Spider-Man abilities

“For special abilities, Spider-Man has the standard Superhuman strength, speed and durability that is required of many Superpowered heroes, while also possessing a minor healing factor that can repair broken ribs over the course of a single night and damage he took from a collapsed building, deep cuts and the force of a crashing plane, though this healing factor take hours to kick into effect, so it can only quickly repair minor wounds in the middle of combat and help Peter keep fighting over a long period of time. He can also stick to any surface, granting him greater manoeuvrability throughout any combat setting, but his greatest ability is his Spider-sense. The Spider-sense is a power that warns Spider-Man of incoming danger that he would be normally unaware of and attacks he likely wouldn’t have dodged in time without the warning, to the point that Spider-Man is capable of fighting without using his sight and fighting off multiple drones at once and help him manoeuvre throughout a dimension that Doctor Strange controls when he wanted to catch Peter.”

Ruby Rose abilities

“Ruby is in possession of Aura, a spiritual energy that enhances the physical abilities of users to superhuman levels, granting access to her physical power, but possesses 4 other purposes. The first is that aura grants invincibility to the users, preventing harm to them so long as they are on guard, but they will still feel the impact of blows. The second is a minor healing factor that will instantly repair minor would, and while they can close more serious injuries, those kinds of wounds will scar instead. The third is resistance to extreme weather conditions. The final ability granted by her aura would be Ruby’s semblance, Petal Burst, which allows Ruby to move at speeds that catch other lightning timers off guard and deconstruct her body on a molecular level while in use, granting her a limited form of flight while in use and instantly get behind her enemies and avoid attacks more easily, but it doesn’t appear like she can attack while she has her body in the form of rose petals in exchange and appears like she can only use it to split her body when she is prepared, for she can be hit out of her Semblance, as demonstrated by her battle with Roman and Neopolitan and while she does have the power of Silver eyes, this power would be useless in this battle. However, the more damage Ruby takes and the more her semblance is used, the greater the drain on Ruby’s aura, and once it runs out or breaks, Ruby will be left as a normal human in all categories until at least a notable amount of aura has returned.”

Special abilities Conclusion

“Now, this one is a surprisingly easy outcome for this category. Because of the sheer versatility of Ruby’s semblance, she would be able to combat both Spider-Man’s Spider-sense and his wall crawling, being able to follow him wherever he goes and avoid many of his attacks if she uses her Semblance smartly. Added with her Aura negating all damage so long as she is on guard, her powers will be able to keep an offensive edge that will slowly overwhelm Spider-Man if he is not carful as he is worn down while Ruby will be in mostly prime condition. For that, I grant the edge to Ruby Rose in special abilities.”

Combat skills and tactics

Spider-Man’s skills and tactics

“Because of the subjectiveness of a fighters skills and the level they fight with, I will use the description of Lightsaber combat forms to help describe how a fighter fights and how their styles in combat would likely interact, even if not exactly. Now, after watching Spider-Man fight, I believe that his way of fighting can be best described as a combination of Forms III, Form IV and then the Djem So version of Form V. For Form III and V, Peter uses an evasion version of the forms in tandem as he taunts his opponents and seemingly not take the fight seriously, having his opponents become enraged and try to hit him, resulting in his foes slowly becoming more exhausted from both rage and fatigue while using his Form V to strike whenever he can to deal damage in order to further exhaust his opponent from damage and end the battle as soon as possible, but when enraged, fighting a ranged opponent or taking the battle seriously, Spider-Man will go on the offensive with Form IV, using his acrobatics, speed and Spider-sense to overwhelm his opponent while dealing unrelenting blows, however, this combat form is exhausting and drains energy quickly, but thanks to his stamina, this is a rarely issue. For this, I believe Spider-Man as an unpredictable master of Forms III and V while being a near untouchable user of Form IV. As for his combat tactics, Peter has been a hero for about a year now and in that time has shown that he can quickly understand a situation and adapt through his own quick thinking and knowledge of movies, such as sending Ebony Maw into the vacuum of space, using a make shift shield to help him get to Mysterio through a destroyed drone, create webs that impressed Tony Stark, use taunts and jokes to distract his enemies, sneak around and take out multiple people in a group, use his webs to restrain those that weren’t expecting it, distract enemies for his allies, use his Iron-Spider Nanotech to control Octavius’ mechanical arms, cut Electro away from the energy source he is using, create cures for the villains in No Way Home, lead a team of Spider-Men that don’t have experience with teams and come up with a way to negate the spell that is bringing multiple villains from other worlds to the MCU.”

Ruby Rose’s skills and tactics

“Studying Ruby’s combat style, I believe her to specialise in Form I, Form IV, and Form V’s Shien variant. Ruby’s use of Form I is used to fight and defeat hordes of enemies through wide sweeping attacks, but is bad against a single trained fighter, but uses this weakness as a strength through her weapons recoil. Her use of Form V’s Shien is mainly against projectile based opponents, but is normally unable to counter until she uses her semblance and her use of Form IV is used against single opponents by using her speed and weapons recoil to overwhelm her opponent and be constantly moving, though she appears to only use this Form when away from her team, when her negotiations fail and fighting an opponent that she recognizes as someone as powerful, like her battle in the Volume 4 Character Trailer, leading me to believe she is a master of Form I, a proficient user of Form V’s Shien, but is rarely able to use it for counter-attacks without her Semblance and somewhere between an expert to master level of From IV, simply because we rarely see her fight by herself while also being a poor hand-to-hand fighter. For her tactics, Ruby has been a leader of a team of young huntresses for over 2 years and likely having trained to fight from a young age, showing a quick analytical mind in combat, being able to use Blake and Weiss’ skills to help her kill a giant Nevermore despite only having seen their combat skills for a about a few minutes, coordinate team attacks against Roman in an Atleasian Paladin, hold off a hoard of Grimm with her team for a few minutes despite them all being exhausted, get her team through the first round of a team based tournament, hold off the much more skilled and experienced Tyrian and briefly catch him off-guard through Nora’s semblance, take down Corvo’s mech and hold off Harriet by herself and restrain her while her friends dealt with the rest of the Ace Ops.”

Combat Skills and Tactics Conclusion

“With that, we can come to the final conclusion for before deciding the overall winner. First off, I believe that Spider-Man is the more skilled combatant since his combat style is designed to perfectly counter Ruby’s use of Form I’s wide sweeps and countering, and despite Ruby using it as an advantage through her weapons recoil, she’ll be left vulnerable with every missed swing for at least a bit, which Peter can use to either disarm or restrain Ruby thanks to his webs, with his use of From IV likely being able to overwhelm Ruby the moment he gets serious, but like wise Ruby’s own Form IV can overwhelm Spider-Man should the fight drag on long enough for either of them to take the battle seriously. For Tactics, Ruby has more training and experience, but I lean more to Spider-Man due to his intelligence, ingenuity and having more known experience in a one-on-one battle, as Ruby’s best plans and tactical decisions have been shown through the use of teamwork and her use of her semblance is predictable enough for characters she can physically blitz to react and attack her while using it. For that, I give Spider-Man the slight edge in Combat Skills and Tactics.”

Battle Context

“With all of this data, I believe that now is the time to see how they’ll interact and who would win. For context, this battle will take place a bit after No Way Home, where the people are slowly being sent back to their worlds, with Ruby showing up in the MCU after falling through the void at the end of Volume 8 and hearing the Mysterio ploy, resulting in her believing it and deciding to engage Spider-Man once she sees him swinging through New York to help this world a bit.”

Battle Simulation

“Hey Karren, do you think there are any apartments that I can use?” Peter Parker asks his A.I. companion, swinging through New York in his Spider-Man outfit before landing on a roof and looking at the streets below.

“Why yes Peter, there is actually one about 20 miles away that…” The female voice of the A.I. would try to inform him, but the voice becomes muffled as a familiar tingling sensation goes off in warning, causing him to backflip as a bang goes off, dodging an electric projectile and land, seeing a silver-eyed girl standing just a few feet away from him with a large red coloured gun pointed at him and smoking a little, signifying that she was the one to attack him just now.

“Um, who are you?” Spider-Man asks cautiously, hoping that he can defuse the situation if he can, but only sees her frown in response.

“I’m Ruby Rose. A huntress, and your going down with what you have done to those people buddy!” Ruby told him as she turned her gun into a scythe, making Spider-Man widen his eyes in surprise before groaning.

“One, why do you have a gun Scythe!? Second, your from another world aren’t you. Look, I fixed the mistake that brought you here and you’ll-” He tries to explain, but Ruby widens her eyes in shock before growling.

“If you brought me here, than someone like you probably have my friends captive. Your going down bug boy!” Ruby says as she charges forward and swipes at Spider-Man, who is able to duck under the first swing, but is surprised to see the blade spin around and then strike at him even faster with a gunshot, causing Spider-Man to lean back and get grazed on his chest, but retaliates with a double kick as he steadies himself with his hands, knocking the girl back a bit.

Getting on his feet, Peter sees that the girl slammed her scythe’s blade into the ground to stop herself from slamming into a wall, before taking aim and firing, causing Spider-Man to shoot a web at a taller building and pull himself upward to it, sticking to the wall as he repeatably dodged a few sniper rounds when his Spider-sense suddenly blared, finding himself surprised as he saw the girl turn into a bundle of Rose petals and charge at him at a speed that he was barely able to react to, flipping onto another buildings roof before shooting a web and trying to swing away, surprised to see Ruby flying after him.

“Peter, I have finished analysis of your current assailant. There are no records of her on the planet, her weapon is transformative in nature with the components of a High calibre sniper rifle, her body appears to deconstruct in its current state, and she possesses an energy field that appears to negate all damage done to her.” Karren’s voice informs him, making Peter groan before he sees the girl go onto another roof and fire at him, but he is able to dodge the shots, with one barely grazing him.

“Than what do you suggest that I do with this crazy girl!?” Spider-Man questions, though it appears that she heard him if the terrifying glare she was sending him was any indication.

“The energy field weakened when you hit her, as well as when she uses her enhanced speed. If it depletes, restraining her will be no issue at all.” Karren informs him, making Spider-Man nod his head in understanding that he’ll need to take this seriously when his web is suddenly shot, resulting in the young Parker falling and crashing into a metal pipe as it bent under his weight and force from which he crashed into it.

“Ugh, that was not fun.” He groans out as he stands back up, and sees the girl land in front of him and pointing at him with her weapon in gun form.

“So, you ready to give up and give yourself to the authorities?” Ruby questions, making Spider-Man stand up and sigh.

“You know, I’m beginning to think that you have seen more cliché movies than I have.” Peter comments, causing ruby to roll her eyes.

Taking advantage of her momentary distraction from the fight, Spider-Man fires a Splitter web that hits both the metal pipe and Ruby’s Crescent Rose and pulls hard, breaking the pipe and resulting in steam being blown directly into her face, blinding her and the sudden heat getting through her aura a bit, and disarming her of her weapon as it is sent flying into Peter’s hands.

“Now then, why don’t we see how you do without your toy.” Peter mockingly says, shooting something at the ground that Ruby doesn’t see .

“Give me back by baby!” Ruby screamed out as she used her semblance to charge through the steam, but falls on her face as she is suddenly caught in a net made of sticky and strong webs.

“Huh, that went better than I thought it would.” Peter teases, making Ruby try to tear herself out of the web, but found that she couldn’t get out.

“Now then, you willing to listen?” Spider-Man questions, but is caught off guard when he saw both her and the weapon glow a bright yellow light and disappear before relaxing.

“Well, good to know that she’ll be back with her friends. Wonder how she might have known me though.” He remarks before jumping off the roof and swinging away.

Battle Simulation Conclusion

“And with that, I have declared MCU Spider-Man the winner. Now, despite Parker taking 3 of the 4 categories in this match-up, it was a lot closer than one might think. For all intents and purposes, Ruby very much had everything she needed to kill Spider-Man, its just that she wouldn’t use it in time before Spider-Man either restrained her with his webbing thanks to her morality and while her semblance can blitz Spider-Man, his damned Spider-sense would allow him to avoid the times Ruby would use her semblance and his wide variety of web combinations would also let Peter restrain and disarm the young huntress. Now, with Ruby’s semblance decomposing her body on a molecular level, she could escape some of Spider-Mans webs but since she can’t go through walls and be hit out of her Semblance’s use, being restrained by enough webbing would likely still restrain her and this is supported by the fact she hasn’t tried this while restrained and at best, her restraints would be deconstructed with her. As for why I believe that Spider-Man would get serious first, not only is Ruby attacking him with a lethal weapon, but Karren would also help him realise that this is a fight he would need to be serious and fight smart. To be blunt, if Ruby was a more aggressive fighter that used her semblance more or they were both blood lusted, she would have taken the win since Spider-Man has been shown to be hurt by bladed weapons and bullets, but their characters and morality gave Peter the edge he needed. However, this is my opinion from my understanding of the characters and abilities, so if I got anything wrong, feel free to debate about it or perhaps suggest something that I might have forgotten about the characters. But now, here’s a preview of our next fighters.”

*BANG!!*”Hm?” A man wearing orange tinted glasses questions as he sees the door to his court be blast open, seeing an unassuming man walk through a dust cloud with a nonchalant smile.

“Hey there! Am I interrupting something future prime minister?” The man asks, causing him to be glared at for a moment by the glasses wearing man.

“So, you are Tohru Adachi, correct? the Inaba Murderer from a while ago. How did you get here?” The glasses man asks as he stands up and gets in front of his desk.

“Eh, I wouldn’t say that matters much. To be honest, I’m only here to put a bullet through your head. Or skewer you, which ever comes first, Shido.” Adachi says, scowling a bit as Shido smirks condescendingly.

“Like a no name like you can do anything…” Shido says as he transforms, now donning a cape and spiked helmet as he walks up golden stairs.

“In fact, you aren’t even worth my time, but I can use a little entertainment!” Shido yells as a stands on the back of a golden lion made out of golden human bodies.

“Wow, you really are a worthless piece of shit huh? Oh well…” Adachi says as he shrugs before gripping his head tightly, eyes now glowing yellow and a purple aura surrounding him.

“DESTROY HIM! MAGATSU IZANAGI!!!” Adachi screams out a giant red figure appears behind him and glares at the lion, who roars at him before they both charge forward.

Notes:

And that is my first battle. To be honest, I'm proud of how it came out, though I don't know if I'll always use the history section, but I guess that depends on how large a Characters history is. Also, if anyone would like to request different fights between characters, I won't mind it if I'm interested in the series they come from or I know them both, so long as everyone is respectful about it. Also, if anyone would like to suggest ways I can help improve the chapter structures, I would greatly appreciate it. Either way, I hope you all enjoyed my research and chapter and see you all next time!
