(Edit 1/15/26): This is written back in 2021, and looking back, this fanfiction is quite sh#t. So, I decided to revisit this story in 2026 with... A new chapter....

Notes:

posted in Deviantart back in August 2021, now with some edits... Now feast your eyes on this regrettably traumatizing fanfic.

Chapter 1: PJ MASKS IN EXEGOL

Chapter Text

December 21, 2012, the date when people thought was the End of the World, but December 22 came to pass and no major disaster has occurred, the End did not happen, but little did Earth know that the End of the World was supposed to happen, through the Xyston Star Destroyer fleet of the Sith Eternal, but it was thankfully averted by the citizens of the galaxy. Do you want to hear a detailed account of the glorious and climactic Battle of Exegol? No. I will show you a heart-wrenching story that took place in the battle that stopped the End of the World.

It is the dead of the night of December 21, 2012, The PJ Masks, a trio of young kid heroes composed of Connor/Catboy, Greg/Gekko, and lastly Amaya/Owlette, went to the Sith Planet Exegol after the villainous smart kid Romeo tricks them into thinking he made the Xystons Star Destroyers to take over the world MUAHAHAHAHAA, just so he can capture and restrain the young heroes there and gloat how he will take over the world. As the PJ masks enter the Sith Planet to confront him, they have a brief fight before the fighting quartet got flanked by Sith Troopers. Gekko and Catboy got shot while Owlette and Romeo are spared. Owlette gets the upper hand of Romeo, but Romeo escapes on his ship, not before mocking that she is "always too f***ing stupid and always too f***ing late to save them" and that "she is f***ing NOTHING".

Romeo has officially crossed the line.

Left on her own, Owlette then sees the Sith Troopers shoot Gekko again, but up his arse, killing him and then they move on to rip open Catboy's belly, exposing his internal organs, and they disembowel him for their pleasure, laughing at the sight of their fellow comrade pulling Catboy's intestines while he writhes and screams in unimaginable pain before another Sith Trooper grabs and rips his heart, then curb stomps his head afterward.

To Owlette, it's already too late for her to save them, both her friends and superhero mates are dead, she feels it's her fault. Lucky she got her Owl Ship to escape whilst witnessing the Resistance fighting against The Sith Eternal and the Xystons. Her mind repeatedly plays back the hurtful words Romeo had said upon her, and her friends die because she is apparently too late to save them. She is still despondent even when a massive fleet of 14,000 ships composed of citizens from around the galaxy, led by the legendary Lando Calrissian in the legendary piece of junk Millennium Falcon, arrive and destroy the Xystons that Romeo "creates" (Palpatine actually). She wails and wails as she flies her Owl Ship, about her mishap. Her ship flies the opposite direction to where a swarm of various starfighters and ships, from various shapes, sizes, and worlds they originate, are heading to... One can see the Enterprise Ship, floating boat-like vehicles that came from Encantadia, Alien Plumber ships, Rodan, and more else.

This gets even worse when the thought-to-be-dead Emperor Palpatine struck lightning to many many ships of the fleet, including hers. Being a superhuman, Owlette's body can withstand the majority of the electricity but this makes her trauma 10x worse, with being shocked and her ship falling down alongside many other ships, including the Ghost, The Tantive IV, LAAT Gunships, and a Venator dating back to the Clone Wars. As the Galaxy fleet recovers when ol' Palpy stops shooting lightning bolts, Her falling Owlship and a dozen ships are then caught by Jacen Syndulla, flying the Ghost (along with half-genie Harmony, his younger sister-figure) and using the Force. Still alive and conscious, she flies back and takes out some Xystons. Eventually, the Battle of Exegol ended and the entire galaxy won, but what about Owlette? She had lost.

She had never experienced such emotional trauma in her first 6 years of existence in the Omniverse such as this, and she cannot and will not forget it. Meanwhile, Romeo flew away and sided with the Galaxy Fleet on destroying the Xystons, feeling a bit of regret for leading her and her friends to a traumatizing doom, and witnessing Owlette break down due to her mishap, but he is a villain, right? He shouldn't care about others' feelings, right? He laughs at her as she flew away from the falling Xystons while masking his regret which is growing due to his mocking at a broken Owlette. Owlette heard his laugh and sobs harder in sadness as her ship flies further from the remains of the destroyed Sith Eternal. following the surviving fleet.

Owlette is sent home to Earth and she has never been the same ever again, Owlette, or Amaya by her true name, fully gives up being a superhero.

She told everything to her parents, but they won't listen, thinking that an event such as this is too ridiculous to even happen and they scold her for talking such nonsense, even though they experienced the War of 1996, caused by the maniacal aliens called the Harvesters. As her life continues after ceasing her superhero moniker for years, she had an irrational fear of Star Destroyers, which the other students notice, and she is bullied and mocked for that fear. Fearing a fictional ship is so absurd, irrational, and nonsensical amirite? As she transitions from a child to a teenager, she starts to have more irrational fears, either as an effect of her Star Destroyer fear or caused by another, the fear of being called cute, the fear of baby chicks and kittens, the fear of failure and the fear of joining in contests and other opportunities, etc., etc. Her parents never have done any remedies to lessen her phobias and they continue to ridicule her phobias, even her siblings mocked her phobias.

Amaya is going into a downward spiral.

Some years passed, in 2019, Amaya became a panphobe, and she is called by other students "Flaky" for her liking and clothing choice to the color red and her irrational fears, similar to a female red porcupine of the same name in Happy Tree Friends. As a response to the harassment, she becomes bitter and hateful to everyone, even to Romeo (who gave up his villain moniker grew up to become a smart yet selfless teenage boy with a changed heart, the boy whom the students ship Amaya/Owlette with, and he is now a protegee to Elon Musk) taking out her anger on anyone for her problems, although it is futile because she is constantly paralyzed with fear, which is shown with her cowering mere seconds after she blows up in anger.

Her Star Destroyer phobia heightens when Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, the 9th film of the Star Wars Saga gets released, and she is forced to watch it with her older siblings and family. In the Cinema on December 21, 2019. With the movie triggering her PTSD, Amaya hysterically shrieked as she saw the movie scene of the Galaxy fleet falling down when struck down by ol' Palpy's lightning bolts. She feels like the trauma of her failure in Exegol in 2012 has returned to haunt her again, she flashes back to the time Romeo mocks her for her failure to tears, her friends getting killed by Sith Troopers, and being struck by lightning. She continues to sob and sob, as some of the people watching to movie laughed at her, even one particular 16 year old who is actually the biological son of Luke Skywalker, laughed too, albeit briefly.

Romeo is also in the cinema watching the movie with his extended family, witnessed her scream, he didn't laugh. He can feel what Amaya felt, with a regretful feeling of mocking her 7 years ago. The former villain said under his breath.

"I'm very sorry Owlette, shouldn't have done this to you."
