Work Text:
The last day of the week, friday. You know, school sucks, but we are forced to. Kellin has always been the shy kid who disappears in the background or gets bullied for no reason.
He was minding his own business at recess when a bully came to him. The pale boy was standing on the grass looking at the blue sky and suddenly, he got pushed and fell with his face to the grass, almost eating dirt.
“Kellin, you faggot, get out of my path!” He said crossing his arms confidently.
“Andy? What did I do to you? You could simply avoid me, why you like to beat me? I did nothing to harm you.” Kellin said, turning to face him, but still on the ground.
“You exist, and that's enough for me to hate you” Andy said, taking a long breath and walking away.
“Please, have mercy on me, I don't deserve this.” Kellin said, getting up.
“Yes, you do.” Andy says while still walking.
The bell rings and everyone heads to class. Kellin goes to the restroom to see if he was clean and for his surprise or not, his cheek and lip were bleeding a little, which he already knew by the taste of blood on his mouth. He hears someone walking in and sees Andy in the mirror.
Hell! Not again...
“Quinn, do you want a second round?” He stares at Kellin through the mirror.
“No, please…” Kells barely whispers and starts to cry while turning to face him.
Andy starts to walk towards him and Kellin steps back and back and back, until his back hits the wall.
“You got no savior, you have no redemption, you'll turn out to be a trash that no one cares, nobody will even want to beat you... You're a fucking fag and no longer deserve to live.”
“You're gonna kill me? Here at school where you'll be caught?” Kellin said it hoping Andy would get back to his mind and set him free.
“No, I won't kill you, but you will die, not here, not now, but here I give you a gift.” Andy punches him in the stomach and leaves the restroom.
Kellin was stretched out on the floor in pain. He has to get out of there, he can't bear to take a class after all this shit. He tried to gather all his strength to get up and walk his crying ass to his place, the cave next to the lake, where he can be alone and pity himself for being a walking crap. He tried his best to not get caught and escaped school. Kellin was already with his backpack, where he always has a flashlight. For some divine reason nobody saw him.
When Kellin was near the lake, he saw a deer drinking water with a little baby deer. That was cute. He walked in the cave and the noise of the water drops calmed him down. The stalactites were wet and he ran his fingers through it, feeling the cold water while walking to the border of the little lake in the cave, where there is a bench shaped rock near glow stones, it was as beautiful as anything he had ever seen. He sat there, staring at the glowing lake, just replaying the whole situation with Andy.
He said I will die, will he kill me?
He saw an assembly of little stones and wanted to throw them in the water, threw one, two, three and then heard something coming from the cave's entrance. At the time his head quoted Andy.
‘You will die, not here, not now.’
And he started to run, hid behind the rocks, but the steps were becoming closer and closer. He became scared as fuck and ran away without even get to know who was there.
The steps seemed to be chasing him. Kellin wasn't sure where he was going. He never went into the cave that way, was a little dark, his eyes weren't able to see where to go. The pale boy fell in the abyss, but held onto some rocks and heard from distance.
“Hello? Is there someone here? Did I scare you? I'm sorry I didn't mean to…”
It's not Andy's voice, fuck! I almost died because of his fucking bastard words.
“Hey! Help! I fell into the abyss, please help me!” Kellin screamed on the top of his lungs.
“Hey, talk again so I can find you.” The voice echoed again.
“Here! Please be fast, I can't hold on for too long!” Kellin was running out of strength.
“Hey, give me your hand!” The man said, stretching his arms the most he could.
Kellin wasn't sure if he could release the rock to catch this hand, but did it anyway. He pulled the pale man out of the abyss with all his strength. Once he was safe, Kellin hugged him like there was no other thing happening in the world, that person was his savior.
“I'm sorry I scared you.” He said, hugging Kellin back.
“It's not your fault, a bastard at school said I was supposed to die today, I thought you were Andy that followed me to kill me.” Kellin loosened the hug, looking at his face. He could barely see because it was too dark to recognize something.
“Andy? Biersack?” The guy seemed to get a little scared.
“Do you know him? Who are you?” Kellin asked.
“Yes, I know him, but let's get to a lighter place.” The boy grabs his hand and drives him to the entrance.
“You remember the way back? Because I don't.” Kellin chuckled.
“I hope I do…” The boy says underneath his breath.
The light began to appear, but they were still walking in silence until they were out. He turns to face Kellin and he recognizes him.
“You're Vic? Vic Fuentes? I hugged Victor Fuentes? The popular guy who plays soccer? Oh my God, I can't believe. Please don't mock me for what happened here…” Kellin said, a little jumpy and shy.
“Take it easy, I'm not like that…” Vic said and a little grin appeared on his face.
“Thanks God, I don't think I couldn bear one more bully…” Kellin said, glimpsing his eyes and then staring at my feet.
“I don't know if you ever noticed, but I like you…” Victor pulls Kells to a tight hug and the pale man blushes.
“Y-you like me?!” Kellin blushed more and loosened the hug.
“Yeah... I always look at you and you're the cutest in the room. Oh my... I never thought I would say it out loud.” Victor seemed a little shy.
“I-I like you t-too…” Kellin was as red as a strawberry.
Vic pulled Kellin to a kiss, a lovely and calm kiss. When we finished kissing, the tanned man placed his strong arms around Kellin and hugged him softly, then ran his hand through Kells’ dark hair, cherishing him.
“Hey, Vic…” Kellin look at him without loosen the comfy hug.
“Um…” Vic glances at me.
“Why did you never say nothing?”
“I-I don't know, I think I was afraid... You know, the guys at the team, my parents I don't know... But you never said anything either.”
“It's different, you're popular, you can have everyone you want to, and I'm just a shy kid with social anxiety…” Kellin loosened the hug to look at his eyes.
“Yeah, I think it is, maybe…” Vic stops a little. “But... Do you wanna go on a date tonight?”
“God! I never thought I'd hear it from you, of course I want!” A smile more enormous than Kellin’s face appeared.
“Can I drive you home? I know you don't drive yet.”
“Yes, thank you.” Kellin made a cute face to him and blushed a little.
They headed to Vic’s car, a big dark blue car. He opened the door to Kellin and the pale man chuckled, blushing a little more.
“You know you don't need to, right?” Kellin smiles just with lips.
“What if I want to?” Vic grings at me.
“You're a cutie.” Kellin looked at him with a smile on his face.
“Me? Have you ever looked in the mirror? You're the cutie here!” Vic glimpsed at me with a playful face.
“Oh, stop!” Kellin blush a dark red.
“Oh, you're blushing! I don't know if something cuter than this exists.”
“Stop, you'll make me go as red as a strawberry…” The pale boy shrinks in the seat.
“I like when you blush.” Vic continues to pay attention to the traffic. “Where do you live?”
“We are near, just two more blocks then turn right.”
“Ok, it's here?”
“Yeah, thank you!”
“See you at 8ish?” Vic looks at Kellin with a cute face, waiting for him to answer.
“Yes, I can't wait!” The pale boy chuckled and made an attempt to get out of the car, but Vic caught his wrist.
“May I have a kiss?” Vic smirks.
Kellin gets back to kiss him, Vic pulls tighter to a hotter than the first kiss, full of desire and softness. It feels like angels singing. The haven haired stopped that heavenly thing and said, “Goodbye…” Chuckled and Vic makes a sad face.
“Bye, I'll be here by 8ish, don't forget about me…”
“I won't.” A big smile appears on Kells’ face.
7pm, it's time to get ready to go on a date with the guy Kellin loved since 7th grade.
I can't believe he likes me too. What will he think if I dress a little girly? Will he hate? Will he love? Will he stop liking me? Oh my god I don't know what to do...
Screw it, if I can't be myself, maybe we are not supposed to be together.
Kellin went to the closet to look for something. Ran his eyes through all my clothes and stopped at a black high waisted plaid skirt, a black and red long sleeve tight shirt, to complete the outfit, choose a fishnet stockings and black shoes. To the makeup, a little blush, eyeliner, mascara and gloss.
His cell phone rings and he went to see who that was, and to his surprise, it was Vic.
Victor: Hey, Kellin!
Kellin: Hey, how did you get my number?
Victor: I have my ways...
Kellin: I have something for you, and I hope you like it.
Victor: What?
Kellin: You will have to wait.
Victor: No, please, tell me…
Kellin: No, I'm a little afraid of your reaction, but I'll do it anyway.
Victor: Oh my God, I can't wait to see what it is!
Kellin: Promise me you won't mock me.
Victor: Kellin, what are you talking about? I won't! I promise.
Kellin: Ok, remember that you promised, see you.
Victor: Bye.
8ish is getting closer and Kellin is nervous, hoping Vic wouldn’t say anything mean or he will cry. The pale boy is laying in bed thinking about all the possible situations. He heard the phone ring, and it was Vic again.
Victor: I'm here and can't wait to see the surprise!
Kellin: God! You don't know how nervous and self-conscious I am right now.
Victor: What? My surprise is you? Some outfit?
Kellin: Yeah, you got it…
Victor: Oh Kellin, I'm sure you're awesome!
Kellin: Ok, I'll appear... Remember that you promised.
Victor: Yes, I promised and it still.
Kellin looked through the window and Vic was learned on his car, staring at the door excited for Kellin to appear. The pale boy unlocked the door, took a long breath and stepped outside. Vic’s jaw almost dropped to the floor, and Kellin blushed so bad. He was nervous as freak.
Vic walked towards me and Kellin was frozen. “Kells... You... L-look amazing! Why were you worrying so much about this?” He says with eyes for a little, and then he gets Kellin to take a little spin, so he can see all the outfit.
“Do you think? Really?” Kellin opened his eyes wide in surprise “Thanks God!” Says understand his breath.
“You're amazing, don't let anyone say the other way around, now we have to go, can we?” Vic stretches his hand, waiting for mine.
“Let's go!” Kellin takes his hand.
They went to the car and again Vic opened the door for Kellin. He felt like a heavenly fairy. Vic drove listening to post-hardcore songs, they both sang the whole way to the place.
Suddenly, Vic stopped and said, “Kellin, I know it will sound pretty weird, but... Put these blindfolds, please…” Handed a red blindfold. “I swear to God that I will do nothing that you don't want to.”
“I…” The pale boy pondered a little. “I trust you.” Then took the blindfold and put it on.
“Cool, now I'll guide you to a hidden place.” Vic put one of his hands on Kells’ waist and the other on the shoulder.
They began to walk. Kellin knew it was somewhere into the trees, but after one or two minutes he finally took off the blindfold. It was a little place between trees, with a table full of food, surely more than they could eat, tons of candles, and those Christmas lights.
“Vic, what is it? Where did you find time to do all of this? That's unbelievably beautiful!” Kellin said with a big smile.
“Can we just enjoy? Maybe someday I will tell you how I did, but for now, let's enjoy.” Vic took Kellin by the hand and both sat to eat and stuff.
Once they were finished eating, there was a pile of pillows and blankets, so both could lie down and chill. Kellin laid down on his thigh, being cherished, Vic was playing softly with his hair. The sky was full of stars.
“Kells?” Vic says, trying to look in his eyes.
“Um?” Kellin humms, turning to face him.
Suddenly Vic kissed him, a calm but desperate kiss, he grabbed Kells’ waist, put him on his lap. The pale boy crossed his legs around his muscly torso. When they ran out of breath and had to stop kissing, facing each other, noses touching, irregular breathing, Vic whispers, “I love you…”
