Work Text:
Chris Argent was a man of his word and when he put his mind to something he went through with it. Even if it meant putting a bullet to his best friend’s head, and effectively ending his life. He had looked into Jimmy’s eyes and found nothing but a rabid animal. It was the same look he saw fading from the wild woman who had come at him before he had real chance to draw his weapon.
“Chris…"
Jenner’s voice sounds odd, he thinks it’s because it’s her first time out with a group. One whose life she just saved. There was no pulse on the wild woman or source of identify in any of her ragged pockets. She was in the same state as the ruined down house.
"Chris, I really think you should see this."
The creek of the floorboards beneath his boots felt ominous. The threat is dealt with there should be no reason why he felt like something worse was coming. Their third companion stood by the door with his own weapon trained inside of the room.
"I told you, to put that damn thing down."
Chris can feel the urgency in her tone, it didn’t help the way that Andrews shook his head. His dark eyes never left the room. He edges past the two and lets out a breath. The room was small, and barely had enough light but he can make out the small bodies barely moving in the corner, just behind a bassinet. It’s on the tip of his tongue to tell the other two to purge the place when the shine of gold caught his eyes.
The kind of glow that he’s only seen in one other person.
The golden shine of a young werewolf.

"This is crazy,"
Chris had instructed them to deal with the body just beyond the house, none of them had been prepared for this. He’d made sure that the safety on his weapon was on before he slipped it back into his holster. Keeping his eyes trained on the small wolf he carefully feels the wall for any kind of light switch.
The room seems to slowly light up on its own and for one stupid moment he thinks ‘ghost’ before he sees the small hand on a switch by the wall. He thinks he should cut back on the horror movies with Alison and replace them with something more reasonable.
He can see them clearly now. The boy can’t be more than three years old, his brown hair curled just above a bloody ear. Tiny fingers are curled into a fist around another hand, another boy, with the exception of his short blond hair their almost identical. The cloth around the bassinet moved and he thought he heard a very low growl coming from it. The boys stand their ground, their eyes holding more life than any child should be showing. The first boy’s lip curls a bit, lets out a growl. He holds up his hands palms facing them and crouched down to make himself seem less like a threat and more of a friend.

In all his life Chris will never understand how a person could do something like this. What would drive a person crazy enough to turn another, especially one so young. According to the Alan Deaton the boys (and girls) were healthy, if a little spooked. The Stilinski kid (listening in on his dad’s scanner again) had done all right calling in the man. Now there he sat helping clean them up.
They were the only two who were able to get close enough to the any of them. The golden eyed boy had growled at everyone but the Sheriffs son. It would have been hilarious if the situation wasn’t so bad. He’d seen the scarring from where the kids had been bitten. They were all in for a rough road.
"Hey, enough with the growling. That isn’t gonna get you anywhere. I’ve built up massive immunity buster.” The Sheriff’s son was holding the boy back, one hand flat against his chest, the other cradling his neck. Unlike his usual high and speedy tone, he was calm and low. Alison (yeah, she was in for a lot of questions later) was holding out a clean shirt. “Alison’s cool, so relax."
The boy stopped growling but kept the glare and pout.
"Well now that’s a familiar look."
The scary part was, he knew exactly who he was talking about. That’s when he got hit with what was probably the best and worse idea ever.
