Work Text:

“All I want for Christmas is you.”

This sentence was followed by someone yelping and a loud thud as Yuta not so nicely shoved Hinata onto the floor and off of the couch.

“Don’t quote Mariah Carey at me.”

Hinata looked up at his twin with a look of mock shock and hurt before scrambling back up onto the couch. “I was trying to be romantic! Yuta-kun, you’re so cruel to your onii-chan!”

“I was asking you a serious question.” Yuta retorted as he wiggled around and tried to keep out of Hinata’s hold. “Tell me what you want for christmas, annoying aniki.”

By now Yuta was lying down on the couch with Hinata straddling above him, both of his wrists being held by both of Yuta’s. They were left at a stalemate. Thankfully it was broken by Sora coming back from the common area with hot cocoa and writing utensils. Hiiro and Niki were busy with a Crazy:B live, Hiiro went to cheer for his big brother.

“Huhu, Sora is back.” the blonde chimed before looking at the twins in their stalemates and started laughing. “If Sora had known you were in that kind of mood he wouldn’t have suggested we write letters to santa tonight,”

“Sora-kun!” Hinata jumped off of his brother and in the shock Yuta let his wrists go. Hinata ran over to help Sora put down their drinks. “Yuta-kun was being mean to me. He shoved me onto the floor.”

“Aniki is just being dramatic.” Yuta grumbled and reached for his cocoa with a mumble, thanks.

“Sora sees.” the boy nodded sagely before sitting down and passing out the letters for them to fill out. “But you know, Yuu-chan, if you’re not really really good Santa won’t bring you anything.”

Yuta shot a look at Hinata, it was half a glare for getting him ‘in trouble’ but also something else. The twins didn’t grow up the nicest of ways and so their belief in Santa had been one of the first things to go. Sora seemed to believe in magic and miracles and was enamored by the thought of Santa that the twins just sorta went along with it. Neither one of them had the heart to ask if he really believed in it or not and well.... Being with Sora kinda made the twins feel like maybe magic and miracles existed too.

“I’ve been good most of the year,” The teal coded twin finally remarked as he sat down and got his letter ready. “I haven’t killed the annoying Amagi yet,”

“I’m pretty sure murder definately puts you on the naughty list, Yuta-kun.” Hinata sighed and sat between the two of them on the floor. “What are you wishing for, Sora-kun?”

“Sora doesn’t really want anything for himself. He wants senpai to get more and more confident helping out the NewDi president. Sora wanted shisou to get along well with his classmates.”

“Harukawa-kun, I’m pretty sure a letter to santa is supposed to be about asking for things for yourself.” Yuta took a sip of his cocoa which allowed Hinata to lean in and steal a glance at what Yuta had written down.

“Ah! You say that but you’re being really selfless too, Yuta-kun!”

“Aniki! Don’t read my letter!”

“Sora wants to see!”

Between the commotion one of the mugs of cocoa got knocked over and wet the letter Yuta had started. A mad scramble to get paper towels to clean up the mess allowed Yuta to get away with no one seeing that he had wished for the happiness and continued success of the two people most important to him.
