"Are you ill?" Lambo said, bursting into Reborn's room.
"Oh, Lambo, it's you. Please, come in." Reborn replied, sarcastically.
"Seriously. Reborn, what's up with you?" Lambo asked. Reborn didn't answer, in the hope that Lambo decided to go away of his own will.
But the young man didn't even flinch. He stood where he was, in wait.
Reborn decided to play dumb: "I don't understand what you mean."
"You. Allowed. Tsuna. To go on a month vacation at Mafia Land."
"So what? He's on the verge of a mental breakdown. He needs a break."
"Oh, COME ON!" Lambo almost yelled, "Since when you ever cared about it?"
Reborn didn't answer for a long time, quietly sipping his coffee.
"You asked me to." he eventually said.
"Wha... That's even worse, Reborn, since when do you care about me?"
"I always did. I had Nana adopt you. I let Tsuna protect you when you were younger. I set up your training."
"You what?"
"And yesterday, you had the guts to come to me and straight up tell me that Tsuna was too tired to go on."
"Of course I did, he..."
"You can go the distance for the people you care for. That's a valuable lesson I never learned properly."
Lambo didn't say anything else. It was all so absurd he didn't fully believe what was going on.
Then, Reborn got up from his sofa, went in front of him, then hesitated.
Lambo didn't move a muscle.
Reborn moved closer, his lips near to Lambo's cheek, and whispered: "May I...?"
"Oh... Well... Yes, I think."
Reborn gently perched a kiss on his cheek, then he moved back to look at him in the eyes.
"You know, Lambo... You make me a better person."
