Chapter Text
He remembers...
He remember his arms being pulled off, his neck as well as his legs being bitten pieces out...
He remembers something scraching blood out of his back and pull the, now short, hair out of the scalp...
He doesn't scream, he can't. And it hurt so bad...
Everything hurt so much. Especially his heart.
He misses his Jiejie and his Didi, Popo, fourth Uncle, dear A-Yuan. His family. He wishes he could save them all, but he is weak, he's broken beyond repair. And there isn't a second chance for them in this world.
Everything goes black.
He dies just like that.
*
There's a noise. It's annoying.
Even more annoying than the pain in his chest. Why can't he rest in peace?
There's someone shouting now, he recognizes this voice, he wishes he didn't. The last thing he want to see right now is Jiang Cheng. He does not have the patience for that. Well now that he's dead he shouldn't have to deal with it at least.
Just then he opens his eyes noticing they were closed. What he sees makes him flinch. In front of him is Jin Zixuan, he didn't expect his afterlife to go like this, he wonders if that's a punishment.
The annoying noise is gone, for the new problem that is Jiang Cheng launching a punch into the Jin heir, pushing both to the ground while the other disciples try to separate the two.
- It's a nightmare. - he thinks as he notices the hand shaking his arm and looking wide-eyed to a young and playful Nie Huisang.
Nie Huaisang is shaking Wei Wuxian's arm when he notices the too familiar change in the air, he stops his demeanor to look around stoping when he reached Wei-xiong who was acting wrong. Noticing the veins poping out in his neck, the erratic breathing, the way Wei Wuxian was holding back from lashing out and looking very scared.
Fearing for his colleague the Nie screamed for help just as he watched Wei Wuxian fall to the ground panting heavily as if he couldn't breath and crying as if the world was ending.
Wei Wuxian squirmed from a fetal position to a full arched back as he screamed loudly making everyone stop to look at what was happening when the Wei finally fainted from the exhaustion in his qi and the stress in his heart, Nie Huaisang still shouting for help on his side while crying and rambling "no, no" time and time again. Lan Wangji appearing from nowhere on the other side of the fainted boy looking, kinda distressed? Nie Huaisang wasn't able to tell.
That's the scene that welcomed Lan Qiren when he finally arrived there. Two sect heir's just stopping what seeming to be a fight, with their clothes and hair a total mess, corroborating his initial thought. His nephew passed by him with the gremlin in his arms without even a glance in his direction and a disheveled Nie Huaisang began to follow him and it made Lan Qiren wonder.
Stopping the Nie boy, who looked at him and then at Wangji's disappearing back, Lan Qiren asked:
- What happened?
- Wei Wuxian needs to go to the infirmary.
- And Jin-gongzi and Jiang-gongzi's? - Lan Xiangshen decided to not pay attention to what the two heir's were trying to say one on top of the other, focusing solely on the Nie, his forehead wrinkling slightly.
- Jin-gongzi was talking about Jiang-guniang, Jiang-gongzi's took ofense and launched into him. During that Wei Wuxian had a qi deviation. - That's when the other started to riot, and a scream was heard...
- A QI DEVIATION? HE'S JUST FOOLING AROUND! - The Jiang heir clearly didn't believe in Huaisang, believing Wei Wuxian must be running from the punishment he would get from the fight, even tho he didn't participate.
- Do you think I would not recognize what a qi deviation looks like Jiang-gongzi? - Jiang cheng backed out from the look Nie Huaisang gave him. The other disciples remembered and started to whisper how the former Nie-zongzhu died from a qi deviation as well, Nie-gongzi would know exactly what it looks like to have one due to his family background.
Seeing the chaotic state of his guests, Lan Qiren made a decision:
- The two of you must kneel in the Hanshi, I will send word to your fathers and ask them to come for further punishment to be decided. Nie Huaisang, you come to the infirmary with me. The rest of you... I will decide latter. For now get back to class!
