She was back in Seattle, she thought she would never come back. She was happy in LA with her son Henry, and Husband. However not too long ago, it came out that Jake had been cheating on her. So she packed everything up and brought Henry to Seattle.
Miranda let her have a job, Henry, had started school, and she was looking at her schedule. Wondering how she came to be here again. She always thought she would never be back, but there was something in the back of her mind that told her to come to Seattle.
So that's what she did. She had been there for a few weeks, and everything was going well. Henry liked school, she liked the pace of the OR. She was thinking that it wasn't all bad being back.
She was wondering if she would see her, Meredith, she hadn't yet. She always looked for her, but it was like they ran in different parts of the hospital. She had seen everyone else but Meredith.
It seemed like Meredith, was avoiding her. Well, she could be wrong, maybe she was just busy. It's not like they ended things on a happy note. She left without saying goodbye.
What they had was intense, at first it was just to relieve the itch. They were both happy with it, it wasn't supposed to be more than that. But she fell in love with the ex-mistress and she got scared so she ran.
Now that she was back she wanted to see her and explain things to her, but in the two weeks she had been back there was no sight of Meredith. So all she could do was work and lol for her.
"Hey, Addison did you hear? Meredith is back at work now", Amelia tells her
" What do you mean back at work?" She asked
" Oh well she took time off to fully recover and now she's back," says Amelia
"Well, that's good, I didn't know that she was gone," Addison says
"She was sick so she took time off after getting out of the hospital, she looks really good, I have to go see you later Addie," Amelia says
So maybe just maybe Meredith wasn't hiding from her. That would be wonderful, she always wanted to know if there was ever a chance for them to be together.
Jake cheating on her had hurt, but if she was being honest she didn't care about it. It hurt because of Henry, he should be able to be in a household that had both parents. But for now, that wasn't going to happen.
Time skip
She had just gotten done with her surgery, both mother and baby were doing good. It was almost time for her to get off. Henry was already at home, she had a good nanny that helped when she was working late.
Just as she was opening the door to her office she realized that there was some inside, well not just anyone, no it would be Meredith.
"So I didn't know that you were back until today," Meredith tells her
"Yes, I've been back for a few weeks, how are you feeling? I was told that you had gotten over being sick" She says
"I'm doing good, so Addie baby, why are you back?" Meredith asks
Oh, how she missed hearing the nickname brings back all the memories of being called that. It gives her shivers and makes her warm all over.
" It was time for a change, you know how it is, it was long past due" Addie replies
"Well I'm glad your back, I just wanted to say hi and see how you were doing, I'm gonna leave first. I have to get the kids" Meredith says
"Okay, well it was good seeing you, maybe if you have time we can go have some drinks?" Addie asks
"Uh, I, Addie baby, I don't drink that much anymore. But we can always have dinner?" Meredith replies
" Yes, that's fine, it was gold seeing, bye Mer," Addie says
She wants to say that she loves her still, but she can't form the words, she wants to be to touch Meredith, to kiss her, and to taste her again. However, the words will not come out, no matter how hard she tries.

Addie wants to but she can't, she doesn't want to see the hate in Meredith's eyes, even if she is calling her baby
"I've waited to see you again for years, at first I couldn't stand the thought of you leaving, but I understood. This can be a new start for us" Meredith tells her
"What, Mer are you saying what I think you are saying?" Addison asks
"Addie baby, I have missed you, and once I knew you were back I had to come and see you. I want to taste you and never stop tasting you" Replies Meredith
At that Addison turns and realizes that Meredith is standing close to her, so close that her breast rub against Meredith's causing them both to moan.
She knows now that once they start this will be it, no more running, no more pain. This is what she has wanted for a long time.
Addison leans in and gives Meredith a small kiss, and they wrap each other in a hug for the first time in years.
"We can take it one day at a time Mer love, I have waited for a long time for this," Addie says
She knows now that has come back to Seattle was the best move for her and Henry, she gets to be with Meredith. Things work out in the end, and she is thankful that she gets the chance.
"Mer love, what are we going to do about our friends and family? They don't know that we love each other" Addie asks
" Addie baby, why do you think Miranda gave you your old job? Why do you think Amelia, told you I was back? I made sure that they knew I loved you, and have for years" Says Meredith
" Addie they know and they are fine with it, no one has a problem, especially after seeing how you looked around for me," Meredith says
