Work Text:
- What is that? Loki asked when we passed in front of a candy stand.
- Candy?! I replied incredulously, without paying much attention. How could he not know what sweets were? By the God...
- We don't have anything like that in Asgard. He continued, walking in backward and looking at me.
- Of course we have. It's just fruits, apples, and strawberries...
- But they're on sticks and shining...
I rolled my eyes and took him by the arm as we made the opposite way, back to the stand.
--------------------- a few moments later ---------------------------
- Happy? I asked, trying to contain a smile as we walked again, this time with him holding a toffee apple.
- It's really...sweet?! He arched an eyebrow and then took a bite. I shook my head and kept walking.
- You want a piece? He ran to catch me.
- No. I kept walking. - Did you know that this candy in some places is called "love apple"? I arched an eyebrow and smiled when he looked curious.
- Really? He took another bite and I nodded.
- It's typical of Valentine's Day. The beaus give to the girls this sweet in an act of romanticism. I finished talking and started walking again.
- Sylvie. Loki called me and I looked back, finding him smiling. - You really don't want a piece? It's very...
I held the stick in his hand so he would stop talking and I went over to bite the apple, but he was quicker as he brought his face close to mine and kissed me.
- Sweet.
