You are my Light in the Darkness of my life

Summary:

It’s over. The Noodle Lady is gone, and the loop has been broken. Sombria and Luzia are free and can now happily continue with life.

So why does Luzia still hurt so bad?

Notes:

Based off of a prompt I got on Pinterest that I felt matched these characters.

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

“No! Don’t- Don’t touch me!” Luzia cried, blue eyes widening as she flinched away from Sombria’s desperate touch. Her wide eyes were wild and fierce, glowing the firey blue that only appeared when... she was terrified. Her flashbacks must be getting worse.

Her body shook and trembled uncontrollably as she backed away from her sister in terror, taking in quick and uneven breaths.

“I’m not going to hurt you,” Sombria spoke softly, gently taking the frightened girl’s hand and rubbing soft circles into it. Her concerned dark eyes met Luzia’s tear-filled ones, and she squeezed the hand comfortingly.

“Listen to me,” she whispered. “She’s not here, Luzie. The Noodle Lady is gone. It’s just me. I will never let anyone hurt you ever again. The loop is gone, you’re safe.”

Sombria almost expected Luzia to yank away her hand while she was lost in her panic, but she didn’t. Instead, she loosened up a little, not relaxed, but not quite as stiff as before. Her eyes dimmed and returned to normal. Letting out a sharp huff of air, tears filled the distressed girl’s eyes.

“I-,” was all she managed to get out before breaking into sobs. Sombria smiled sadly, her heart breaking a little at Luzia’s agony.

“It’s ok,” she said, pulling the now calmer girl into a much needed hug that she didn’t resist. “It’s ok. I’m here.”

As she tightly embraced her sniffling sister, her face was hidden from Luzia. This was probably the reason why she couldn’t quite see the small smile from the younger girl as the truth of that statement clicked in her mind.

You will always be here for me, Sombie. You’re my big sister.

Anyway, you know my usual spiel: thanks for reading, hope you enjoyed, comments and constructive criticism are appreciated so don’t be shy~ :)
