Gordon huffed as he fumbled with his keys. He could never remember which key was the one to open his apartment.
He eventually found the correct key and unlocked the door. The young man rubbed his eyes as he walked into the small apartment. He walked into the living room and slumped down onto the couch. "shit," he hissed and closed his eyes.
"hey, feetman."
Gordon shot up. "Benrey? How did you-" he cut himself off. "What the hell is that?" He shouted, alarmed.
"this?" Benrey held up a peeper puppy. Gordon nodded frantically. "oh, this is beef lol."
"Why is it here?"
"she was sittin' outside the door so i brought her in." Benrey scratched Beef's head gently.
"Why did you-" Gordon sighed. "Benrey, you know I don't like those things." The man said, moving away from Benrey.
"c'mon, she's just like a regular dog. look, she already does tricks and shit." Benrey hummed. "alright girl, sit." They ordered. Beef sat down. "roll over." The peeper puppy did as it was told. "who's a good girl?" Benrey grinned and pet Beef.
"I don't..I don't like that at all." Gordon pinched the bridge of his nose as the other man sat down next to him.
"c'mon, gordonnnnn," Benrey leaned on his partner as Beef jumped onto the shabby couch. "can we keep her? pretty please?"
"Benrey, no-"
"pretty please with a cherry on top?"
Gordon looked down at the other man. Benrey was looking at him with wide eyes and pupils large as saucers. He stayed silent for a minute.
"Fine," Gordon huffed. "but only if you keep her off the furniture and keep her far away from me."
"woo!" Benrey cheered. He pet Beef again.
"I still don't like it, though." Gordon shuffled away from Benrey.
"that sounds like a you problem, man."
