“I like him.” Jungkook said as soon as he opened the door to their dorm.
Jimin, who was in the living room, paused the movie he was watching and looked at Jungkook, who is now taking off his shoes “Hmm? You liked who?”
Jungkook put his shoes in the corner and went straight to the kitchen. He opened the fridge and took out a bottle of peach juice “Yoongi hyung.” he said then took a sip from his drink.
Jungkook went to the living room with his juice then sat beside Jimin. He took his laptop from his bag then turned it on so that he can start his essay which is due tomorrow night.
Jimin looked at his friend then turned his attention back to the TV then played the movie he was watching “Should I be surprised with that revelation Jungkook-ah?” he said then suddenly groaned because the main character from the movie he was watching did something stupid “seriously?! You shouldn’t have done that.”
He continued watching for a few minutes when he felt Jungkook’s gaze at him. He looked at Jungkook who was staring intensely at him, he raised an eyebrow then paused his movie again. “Why are you looking at me like that? Do you need something from me?”
Jungkook gaped at him “Y-you.”
Jimin smirked at him “I?” then pointed at himself “what about me Jungkookie?” he said, amused at Jungkook’s reaction right now. “honestly, you were pretty much obvious you know.”
Jungkook now closed his mouth then stared at him with wide eyes. “What?” Jungkook deadpanned “what the fuck do you mean I am obvious?”
Jimin sighed then ran his hands through his hair “I mean what I mean Jungkook-ah.”
Jungkook suddenly stood up then started walking back and forth right in front of Jimin. “Oh gosh, was I that obvious?”
“Yes. You literally have heart eyes whenever he talks.”
Jungkook ignored Jimin’s comment then continued to talk to himself “If you know then who else knows about it? Oh gosh this is stressful what should I do? Should I avoid him till I sort this out? Should I act normal?....” right now he was panicking because if his Jimin hyung knew about his feelings for Yoongi then there’s a high chance that Yoongi knows about this too. ‘There’s a high chance that Yoongi hyung knows about it too’ with that thought he suddenly stopped pacing back and forth and stared at Jimin with pure panic on his face.
“Do you think he knows about it? OH GOSH WHAT AM I EVEN SAYING?” He said in a loud voice “if you say I’m obvious then of course he must know about it. What to do? What should I do?? Should I --”
“Woah woah woah.” Jimin exclaimed, stopping Jungkook from his rambling “ok, first you need to calm down then sit down right here beside me then we’ll talk.” he said while patting the space beside him.
Jungkook stared at Jimin and sat down immediately. “What should I do hyung?” he said while trying not to tear up because he feels like he’s going to cry any minute now. He wasn’t expecting any of this, really. He didn’t know he was being obvious with his feelings for Yoongi, he thought he was hiding it very well ‘clearly you weren’t because Jimin hyung told you it was obvious’ he thought bitterly then took his juice from the coffee table then gulped it down.
Jimin stroked Jungkook’s hair and smiled softly at him “Easy, you should just confess to him.”
Jungkook is very glad that he already swallowed his drink because if not he is sure that he would have spat it out or worse, choke on it. “What?” Jungkook shrieked “ I can’t do that, I can’t risk it hyung.” He thought about it for a while then shook his head “nope I can’t do it. I don’t want to make things awkward between the two of us.”
Jimin sighed “Jungkook-ah, I know you’re scared and that is valid. I get why you’re scared but you never really know unless you try. I’m not saying that you should confess right away. I just want you to consider that option, ok?”
He looked at Jimin then smiled at him “Ok hyung. I’m sorry for my sudden outburst earlier.”
Jimin laughed then ruffled Jungkook’s hair “It’s ok. Hyung is here for you whenever you need help Jungkookie.”
Jungkook’s eyes brightened up after hearing Jimin’s last statement “Ah really.” he said, grinning widely at his hyung “then you should help me with my essay hyung.”
“You brat.”

Jungkook was currently sitting down at the coffee shop near their university waiting for Jimin to arrive, who called him earlier saying he wanted to talk to him. He took a sip from his drink and stared outside.
The leaves are slowly falling one by one since it’s the start of fall. ‘Ahh, fall season.’ he thought ‘what a nice coincidence. Just the perfect season for me to stress about me falling deep for Yoongi hyung.’
He continued staring outside watching people pass by and taking a sip from his drink every now and then. He was scrolling through his phone when he heard the bell chimed signalling someone entering the shop. He looked at the direction of the door and saw Jimin.
“Hyung.” Jungkook put his hands up and waved so that Jimin could see him.
Jimin looked at his direction and smiled. He went to their table and sat down at the chair right in front of him. “Hey, sorry I’m late.” Jimin said while fixing his hair “Taehyung needed my help for his assignment.”
“Nah it’s ok.” Jungkook stared at Jimin “what do you want to drink?” He opened his bag and took out his wallet “my treat.”
Jimin looked at him with confused eyes then grinned widely “Ahh, what’s this? You treating me?” Jimin giggled then put his chin on the palm of his right hand.
“Say what you want to drink before I change my mind.”
Jimin laughed and told Jungkook his order. Jungkook stood up and went to the counter to buy Jimin’s drink. He looked at Jungkook and pondered for a bit on how he’s going to carry out the conversation they are about to have.
After a few minutes Jungkook arrived with Jimin’s drink. He put it on the table and pushed it towards Jimin. “So, what did you want to talk about?” he asked while sitting down.
Jimin took a deep breath and twirled the straw of his drink “Namjoon hyung approached me earlier.” He said while avoiding Jungkook’s gaze.
Jungkook knew where this was going but he pretended not to know what Jimin was talking about so he raised an eyebrow “And? What’s the connection of that to me?”
Jimin sighed then finally looked at Jungkook with a pointed stare “I know you know what I’m talking about Jungkook-ah. This has to stop already.” he said firmly.
“Stop what?”
“...you’re seriously going to be like this?” Jimin said trying not to lose his calm because right now in his own opinion his friend, Jungkook, is acting stupid. “Fine, I’m going to say it.”
“stop.avoiding.Yoongi.hyung.” Jimin said, emphasizing every word then took a sip from his drink.
“...I know that.” Jungkook puffed his cheeks, leaned his back on his chair and crossed his arms. He knew that he can’t avoid Yoongi forever since they have the same circle of friends but ever since Jimin told him that he was being obvious with his feelings for Yoongi, he can’t help but avoid him or find an excuse to not spend time with him whenever his hyung approaches him.
“Just give me some time, ok? Then after that I can act normal around him again gosh maybe with time my feelings will fade away too.
Jimin froze at Jungkook’s last statement. He looked at Jungkook with wide eyes then laughed nervously “Yeah..time..”
Jungkook, noticing Jimin’s reaction and confused why he is acting like that, asked him carefully. “Hyung...what did you do?”
“I may have told Yoongi hyung that we are hanging out and told him that he should come here to pick you up and walk you home.” Jimin said nervously.
“What?” Jungkook felt his heart beating even faster and his palms were even sweating. He looked at Jimin with a panic look on his face. “YOU DID WHAT?!” he said in a loud voice causing some people near their table to look at them but both of them didn’t care with the attention they are getting right now.
Jimin winced “I’m sorry…”
“No, you’re not.” Jungkook deadpanned.
Jimin paused for a while and thought about what he said earlier a little more “You know what, yeah you’re right I’m not. I only feel a little sorry for you.” he shrugged then stirred his drink and took a sip from it.
Jungkook continued looking at him and he is clearly panicking right now. He started fixing his things immediately which caught Jimin’s attention.
“I’m leaving.”
Jimin stared at him when he heard the bell chimed. He looked at the door then smirked when he saw who the newcomer was. “Sure, suit yourself, have a safe trip back home.”
Jungkook looked at him weirdly but he just shrugged. Maybe if he leaves earlier then he won’t have to go home with Yoongi and Jimin can just give whatever excuse to him when he comes.
“Bye, hyung.”
As soon as he turned around he came face to face with the very person he was avoiding. Jungkook took a step backward and gaped at him; at the back you can hear Jimin laughing ‘Traitor, he probably saw Yoongi hyung arrive that’s why he let me go easily.’ he thought while mentally planning his revenge.
“Oh?” Yoongi said “are we leaving already?” he then took Jungkook’s bag. Jungkook blushed while staring at him. Yoongi just looked at him then smiled softly, “let me carry this for you Jungkook-ah.”
Jimin just stared at the two of them then laughed “Yup!! Take him away Yoongi hyung.” he took out his phone and opened his chat with Taehyung. “I still have to wait for Taehyung anyways.”
“I see, then let’s go Jungkook-ah.” Yoongi walked ahead with Jungkook’s bag.
Jungkook turned around and glared at Jimin “Just you wait Park Jimin.” he glared at him one more time before turning around once again and walked briskly so that he could catch up with his hyung who was now waiting for him outside with his bag.

Jungkook and Yoongi continued to walk together in comfortable silence. Even though Jungkook was avoiding him, the silence, the atmosphere right now wasn’t uncomfortable. He could never be uncomfortable with his Yoongi hyung.
“Do you want to go straight home immediately?” Yoongi asked.
“Hmm?” Jungkook thought for a bit. He mentally sighed ‘I guess there’s no running away right now.’ He smiled at Yoongi and shook his head “Nope, I don’t mind staying with you for a while.
Yoongi looked at him and smiled softly “Great, let’s go then.”
They went to the park and walked around for a while. After some time they found a bench and they decided to sit down and take a rest before finally going home.
They talked about anything as if nothing happened in the past few days, as if Jungkook didn’t avoid Yoongi.
Jungkook was in the middle of his rant about the anime he was watching when he felt Yoongi’s gaze at him. He stopped talking and looked at the person sitting beside him then let out a quiet gasp because Yoongi, his precious hyung, was looking at him with sad eyes. Jungkook felt his heart break a little because he knows he was the cause of that.
He took a deep breath and gathered all of his courage “Hyung?” he started “is there something you want to talk about?”
Yoongi just continued looking at him then sighed “Jungkook” he started and smiled sadly at him “May I please now know the reason why you are avoiding me?”
Jungkook knew. He knew that this was coming yet he was still nervous. He didn’t know how to answer Yoongi’s question. What ahould he even say? ‘I avoided you because I like you and I don’t know how to deal with my feelings.’ Even though that sounds right he can’t say that. He’s too scared to say something that straightforward. But he has to say something because Jimin was right this has to stop. He has to stop avoiding Yoongi. He opened his mouth but before he could say something Yoongi beat him to it.
“Fuck, I’m sorry.” Yoongi laughed and ruffled his hair. “You clear--”
“Wait what.” Jungkook asked. He is so confused right now because why the fuck is Yoongi apologizing when he should be the one doing that. “Why are you apologizing?”
“Well, clearly you felt uncomfortable with that question and it’s fine you don’t have to answer that.” He stood up and stretched his arms. “Come on Jungkook-ah, let’s go home before it gets dark.”
Jungkook looked at the person who was standing up right now. He took Yoongi’s hand then forced him to sit down again.
“Jungkook?” Yoongi looked at him, confused about Jungkook’s doing.
Jungkook just stared at their hands and looked at Yoongi “Let me explain first, ok?” he pleaded “then after that you can make your decision.”
Yoongi was confused by what Jungkook meant but still agreed to hear his explanation.
‘Fuck it. I’m just going to get straight to the point so that I can get over this real quick when he rejects me.”
“I like you.”
Yoongi gasped and suddenly his face and ears turned red.
‘He’s cute.’ Jungkook thought fondly then realized that he still has to continue talking.
“I like you and that’s the reason why I’m avoiding you. I didn’t know what to do with my feelings for you so I figured out if I just avoided you for a while then maybe my feelings will fade away.” He gasped for air and continued while tearing up “but it didn't. Instead it just g-got even d-deeper.” he stuttered but he still tried his best to continue because Yoongi deserved an explanation on why he was acting like this. Although his reason might not be that valid, he still wanted his hyung to know that it’s not his fault on why he was acting like that.
“Jungkoo--” Yoongi tried stopping Jungkook’s rambling but it seems like he didn’t hear him because he still continued.
“And I was so scared.” Jungkook sobbed. That’s right he was scared. He was scared because his love for Yoongi was so deep that he didn’t know what to do with it. He was scared of--
“What are you so afraid of Jungkook-ah” Yoongi asked gently while patting Jungkook’s back so that he can somehow calm down.
“Of falling.” he sniffed “even though I already was falling for you, I was still scared.” He looked at Yoongi with teary eyes and said “You aren’t obliged to do anything hyung but fuck knowing you won’t catch me made it even more scarier to just straight up tell you.”
Yoongi stopped patting Jungkook’s back. He put both of his hands on Jungkook’s cheeks and smiled fondly at him.
Jungkook blushed with the way Yoongi was looking at him “Hyung?”
Yoongi wiped his tears away with his thumbs and said “Don’t.”
“Don’t what, hyung?”
“Don’t be afraid to fall for me.”
Jungkook felt his heart beating faster by that statement. He looked at Yoongi with wide eyes “Hyung? What do you mean by that?” he asked since he didn’t want to get his hopes up.
Yoongi just continued stroking his cheeks “Don’t be afraid to fall for me Jungkook-ah, because I’ll be there to catch you always.”
And now Jungkook was really blushing. His face and ears all read and his heart oh gosh his heart is pounding like crazy. The butterflies in his stomach fluttered. He looked at Yoongi with disbelief because he couldn't believe it. His hyung, his precious Yoongi hyung whom he has feelings for actually --
“Like me back?” He said out loud.
Yoongi giggled and bumped their foreheads lightly “Yes, Jungkook I like you too.” He smiled fondly at him then kissed his forehead. “And no I’m not just saying this, ok? I liked you for quite some time now.”
Jungkook just continued staring at him then suddenly laughed softly “I see, I apologize for acting stupid then.”
“It’s ok, just please don’t avoid me again.”
“Ok, hyung.”
The both of them sat in comfortable silence for a while when Jungkook suddenly asked something.
“So what are we?”
Yoongi looked at him fondly “Let me take you out for a date first, then I’ll ask you. Is that alright with you?”
Jungkook smiled “It’s perfect.”
“Great now let’s go home. Let’s have that date tomorrow.”
“Ahh hyung so eager.”
“Shut up, you like me.”
“Yup, I like you.”
