Chapter Text
she is your typical clever university student. well-known among the lecturers, to make it bold. sits at the front, throwing questions, polite smiles, and all a person could imagine for someone as near as perfect. all is well for minju, everything goes as planned.
unless she took a wrong class last semester and now is stuck with it. for some reasons, well.
first, it's not necessarily important for her to take this subject. an architecture student who accidentally took a basic quantum physics class. it's not like she would count every single atom in whatever building she draws, no? though that counting every possibility and knowing how things work do make sense to her along with applied quantum physics. now that’s more likely to happen in my field. so she tells herself she sucks at this (when in fact, no– that's just an excuse).
second, she used to be a very good young woman. a polite and calm model student. dressed just fine and normal, very composed.
used to.
everything took a U-turn when a certain woman came into the picture and minju found herself exuding something she has never done before.
“are you for real...?" a husky, high-pitched voice comes from the door.
“what?"
“you are going to attend a class with an off-shoulder with idk, a kinda-too-short skirt?" her tone judging. minju could imagine her roommate furrowed eyebrows and dramatic hanging jaws without even looking.
so, she just shrugs it off like it's a routine, nothing to be curious about.
“kim minju, don't tell me..."
“don't tell you what? do you think i’m going to seduce her?"
yuri's hanging jaws expect the older to reply, while still hanging.
“duh, of course i would."
jaws closed.
"bitch never thought would have seen an A straight student go all out in seducing a professor. i'm the bitch," yuri adds while still leaning on the door frame. minju lets out small giggles, stretching out her arms before getting the canvas tote bag. "wow, and a crop top."
“maybe if you apply as a football commentator instead."
"yeah nice advice from someone who is obsessed over a nerdy lecturer,” she snickers. a smirk mocks the older.
"i'm not, okay? i just fell for her and couldn't get up so why bother to try harder?"
her shout went along with a slammed door in front of the petite younger girl, leaving her shaking her head. surprised? no, disappointed? she rolls her eyes.
—
it's not boring. minju just gets something else to do rather than paying attention to whatever on earth is displayed on the chalkboard.
when the view is her.
she is being especially rebellious for this certain class. sitting at the back, has no notes, crossing her legs, chin on the back of her hand— of course the outfit too. such a miracle she has yet to be caught by the department and get a warning.
how does she pass her tests? well, she tried. and she learns from the best too which would be a story for another time.
the horizon turns to a light shade of orange as the clock runs a bit slower. sun rays enter the huge, gothic-styled auditorium class. here the students are seated like a bunch of gladiator enthusiasts. terraced class desk, as if the seats are for watching a single player at the front.
"class is dismissed. please submit your assignment on the desk here as you walk out," a voice takes minju's daydream away in a snap. ah, finally.
she takes her time to sit back a bit longer, waiting for the sea of impatient students to walk off the class. her sun-kissed skin glows, such a view from below.
from the desk.
following the last student who can't be seen anymore in the hallway, she walks down the stairs to the desk. particularly slow, making sure the only other occupant of the class watches her coming. and the plan kind of worked when her eyes met those pitch-black orbs, giving minju a weird look as she comes down. and, she can’t see it well but there is a little smirk at the corner of her lips.
"kim minju-ssi." the voice is stern, so low but has the power within.
"yes?" she stops right at the desk, less than a meter from the sitting professor. her hands lean on the corner of the desk as she tilts her head a little, showing off her freckles in a better angle as well as the poking little ear.
“what do you mean yes? put your assignment down here."
"and if i don't?"
sigh.
"let's see what i can do for you, then."
"okay okay kidding, anyway—"
"yes anyway what about your outfit today?"
oopsie.
"nothing special? what about it?"
"minju," she runs her fingers on her long, wavy black hair. a very pleasant view for the younger. she means, a smartass in a dark grey suit and trousers with a black turtleneck sure got her under a spell.
"until when are you going to dress up like this?" she sighs, eyes narrowed to the only student left, "please for fuck's sake it's not really the best way for a student to show up in a class and wait are you aware that you only do this in my class so now think about it what will the others think about you and me like do you want to get into a scandal or—"
"chaewon,” minju cuts her off, “who wouldn't want to get into a scandal with you? like do you not expect me to do it voluntarily?" she rolls her eyes, "duh, of course i would."
"i—," a silence with air in the throat, minju raised her eyebrows, "no, i— no that's not the point minju please i wanna cry." looking at her dealing with her own dramatic ass is especially entertaining and minju got a thousand plans to see it again.
chaewon sits back on her chair and rubs her face oh so dramatically. but minju finds her defense in the meantime.
"well, i kinda expect you to ask me out for a date after class but seems like this one here is too dense to sense it so i will just go home and dress comfortably then lay on my bed and ghost her for the rest of the night."
that's a quite long reason.
chaewon looks up to her again, a silence before she finally replies, “ok nice try, now follow me to my office room and bring these papers to my desk."
"and if i don't?" i swear to god —
chaewon stares blankly at her, already on her feet ready to walk off the desk. the sun is about to set, no one is around inside the building at this hour. only faint sounds are present from the open space around the west wing building they are in. the younger's glowing skin on her uncovered shoulders is still a masterpiece as ever, so mesmerizing. blended very well with the sunset. let alone her short skirt which shows off the pale thighs and a few moles chaewon remembers by heart. so the older says it lowly.
"dressing up like this you should have known that i better take you to my house instead of taking you out."
minju tilts her head, "pardon?"
no, she heard it very well. minju listened and she is celebrating, biting her cheek as to not smile a single bit.
"nothing, bring these to my desk or else we go for five hours reading session next time," she says as she walks to the main door, leaving the younger with no choice but to bring her classmates' assignments.
—
chaewon stops her step, a hand hovers over the knob of her staff room. leaving minju behind her wondering what is wrong.
"minju," chaewon turns her head over her shoulder, "i don't need to check on my office today— in the company, i mean. hiichan took care of the business for the week."
minju nods slowly, "uh huh, so?"
"uhm, wanna go home together? i just need to pack up a bit." minju is sure she sees a glint of pink shade around the tip of her ears, it's cute nevertheless.
"and who am i to refuse such an offer?"
so chaewon just scoffs and turns the knob. to the taller’s surprise, the room is way tidier than the last time she went there. "wow it's neat," minju mumbles. she enters the only room at the west wing building of the faculty. a label plate neatly placed in the middle of the big, wooden desk, along with some stacks of paper.
dean of the faculty of engineering.
"excuse you, i reorganize it so you will shut up."
"so that's how you thanked me, well we do learn something new every day," minju shrugs her shoulder after putting down the papers.
she is about to sit on the sofa as she waits for the older to finish, but seems like her existence is already forgotten when the latter starts to open her laptop while answering an incoming call.
sounds like hiichan? must be the company stuffs. then where is this 'i need to pack up a bit'? she would make chaewon remembers and she takes matters into her own hands.
so instead of going to the sofa, minju slides herself behind the desk, putting down her tote bag, and makes sure she sits comfortably on her private sofa— chaewon's lap.
"chaewon? hello, you still there? "
"u-uh yes, i he-heard you, yeah what about it, hii?”
minju takes a better look at her; drawing imaginary lines on her features using her right index fingers as her left hand hangs around the older's neck; round eyes, cute nose, sticky-rice-cake cheeks, sharp jaws, and very kissable lips. her finger hovers so timidly on the corner of the lips, drawing the boundary oh so slowly. remembering every little wrinkle on it, not realizing that the index finger is now replaced by her thumb. caressing the soft, pink flesh as chaewon struggles to speak.
she begins to smell the strong, heavy mint breath. she begins to breathe in her breath.
—
chaewon ended the call as she put down her left hand and the phone in her grip on minju's lap, looking back at the latter's eyes after avoiding it for the past few minutes. "what are you doing?"
she says faintly, so low that it does sound like a husky whisper.
"reminding you that you have to pack up so we can go home?" minju replies as faintly, her answer does sound more like a question, she pulls back her thumb and circles her hand on chaewon's neck, meeting with her left hand.
breathe in the minty air again.
“sorry, then shall we?"
there is only one big window in the room. it’s right behind them. showing off the faculty's wide, green field from the 3rd floor. spring is around the corner. the field would be so pretty with pink and green blossoms here and there. fallen petals take over the streets and a cool breeze starts to blow. but there is always one question that lingers on the younger’s mind.
“chaewon, do you know why your office is placed here, facing nothing but an open space?” minju says as she puts her forehead on the latter’s. her right hand slowly is being pulled to now caressing the older’s covered neck and bare jaw.
“i don’t, maybe you can tell me the reason?” her reply sounds a bit breathless, begging for an answer— or anything in between.
“i don’t know either,” the corner of her lips tucked upwards, “or perhaps so i can kiss you without anyone knowing.”
chaewon hums in response, “that does sound more assuring, so when—” but the girl on her lap doesn’t let her finish whatever the hell she was going to say. the only thing she knows is that someone kisses her so tenderly, grazing her lips with their own. she can smell the younger’s lavender breath, intoxicating is an understatement. she is the one who is under a spell.
minju makes it so slow that chaewon thinks she is about to lose her last patience for today. so she bit her mate’s lower lip, earning a low gasp. allowing herself to enter her tongue into the game. mumbling incoherent words as she sucks the latter’s tongue. the sound of pleasure burns chaewon’s ears, her right hand on minju’s back, drawing circles with her finger while her left hand found itself in between the younger’s thighs. caressing it like it’s begging. minju nibbles on chaewon’s bottom lip in return, faint moans out of the bag, echoing lowly in the room. the rushed kiss did send the younger’s eyes to the back of her head. why is she so good at this?
but it doesn’t last for long when chaewon pulls herself and plants a soft peck at her cheek before she says, “when i asked ‘shall we’ i was actually asking you to go home,” she lightly laughs, teary bright eyes as the sun sets down, “but look at what this impatient fox did here?” she smirks.
minju pouts, her hands encircled chaewon’s neck and the proximity is still so close to the point her lungs consume minty smell so much. “so, is the baby girl ready to go home?”
still with her pouty lips on, she gets off her lap and takes her tote bag back. “stop that ducky lips,” chaewon stands and pecks her lips, way too long.
—
“minju, want me to drive you home or wanna go to my place?” chaewon says. she already placed all her belongings in her black, leather messenger bag then walks over to the younger one who is mad typing on her phone on the sofa.
sensing that both are ready to go, minju stands up and holds out her left hand to be held by the latter, “up to you? i have nothing to do tonight and can do my display assignments on the weekend.”
“my place then.”
the walk to the parking lot is filled with minju’s rambles over everything. reminding chaewon that one thing is what she really loves about the girl. being an architecture student and about to graduate, minju sure has a lot of things to think about and chaewon is there to listen to. to help her find her path again. to guide her along the unknown.
“mind you, but we are going to my place for a reading session, miss kim. sounds fine to you?” chaewon says as she opens the passenger door for minju, earning herself a groan from the younger.
—
“min, start to dress up properly for my class, will you? can you imagine receiving the same message from the department every damn week commenting on how your fiancé dresses up?”
the conversation continues in the car. the traffic lights turn green as a sign for chaewon to step on the gas once again. less than one hundred meters from her apartment.
“and if i can’t?”
