Work Text:

It was a mutual thing between them. When Team had nightmares, he would go to Win’s room and spend the night. Win never asked questions about it, only healed him in his arms tightly while Team fell asleep. He openly flirts with the younger man and wasn’t shy about checking him out when he knew he was watching but moments like this was different.

He was the only one who saw Team like this, his face completely melted from the worry of the real world. The worry lines around his mouth and forehead were smoothed out, making him look even younger than what he was. There was about two years between them, not that much, but Team looked like he could easily be 14 depending on what he was wearing.

Win found him endearing. The way he looked at him when he thought he wasn't looking was adorable. There was something unspoken between them but he knew it would be wrong to voice it. He felt like he was using him.

He guessed they were both using each other, despite the clear attraction they both had for each other. Team, for his nightmares and Win for his sexual gratification. But he assumed both of them got something good out of that. He liked to think he was good enough for Team. He never complained about it so he assumed he was.

Win sighed, annoyed by his own thoughts. They were sex buddies, not people flirting with each other hoping for something more. It was clear Team only thought of him as a safe place but nothing more.

With that annoying thought,  he fell back to sleep, his mind only on Team.

Win was tired. So very tired of waking up  and finding Team had left before he could wake up. He had only stayed the morning once and when he did Team freaked the fuck out. Win tried to tell him it was okay and that he was welcome to stay the night but he had quickly put on his clothes and rushed out.

That Was very early on into this whole thing and he thought that Team would take advantage of having a hot guy wake up to him. Win scoffed at himself and sighed loudly.

“If you keep sighing like that you’re going to suck out all the air,” Dean said, walking up to him.

Win smiled. He didn’t even notice his best friend come up to him. He was so in his own thoughts. He felt he was there more often than anywhere else.

Dean sat next to him on the bench while the younger members of the team did their reps.

“Boy troubles?” Dean snickered.

“Not everyone is lucky to have a perfect love life like you Ai’Dean.”

Dean laughed and dangled his arm over his shoulder.

“What's going on with you and Team?”

“Nothing. And that's the problem.”

Dean looked at him with an arched eyebrow, edging him to go on.

“I… I think I’m starting to gain feelings for him.”

Dean snorted and watched said boy pull off his goggles and lean over the edge of the pool to gain breath.

“He’s a good swimmer.”

“The best of the newbies,” Win muttered.

“Yeah, you’ve definitely got feelings for him,” Dean said offhandedly.

Win looked at him with a frown. “How can you tell?”

“Your whole face changes when you look at him. Your eyes shine and you had this goofy smile on your face you didn’t even realise.”

Win blushed slightly and huffed. “Whatever. It’s just a crush, it’s not going anywhere.”

“I want to stop.”

Win paused, halfway taking his bag with his change of clothes in it. Team was standing next to his locker,  only the two of them in the locker room.

“Stop?”

“Stop this,” Team said again.

Win suddenly snapped out of his shock and slammed his locker once he had his bag out.

He flinched when he saw the look on Team’s face. He looked exhausted like he hadn’t had any sleep for days.

“What do you mean stop this? I thought you was sleeping better?” Win asked, searching his face for something other than the look of defeat on his face.

Something faltered in his face, but it disappeared quicker than it came.

“That’s why I want to stop this. I’m fine now.”

“Bullshit.”

Team blinked in surprise. “Hia?”

“I call bullshit. Have you seen your face? You look awful.”

Team blushed furiously. “You aren’t my helper! You aren’t my boyfriend! You have no need to do this for me!”

Ahh, so that's what it’s about.

Win threw his bag down and pushed Team into one of those single-cell shower stalls and shut the door.

“Hia! Someone could come in,”  he hissed.

“Let them come in!” Win said, looking at Team with fire in his eyes.

It made Team shiver and Win felt it at the very tips of his fingertips.

“Hia… Please. I want to stop.”

“Why. Give me one good reason why this has to stop?”

Team looked up at him, many emotions going through his face.

“I’m scared.”

“Scared of what?”

Win saw Team swallow. Whatever he had to say took courage.

“Scared that I’m falling for you.”
