Long night with many people to deal with in the emergency hall was enough to drain all his power, that’s how Park Jimin was found sleeping in the private section for the doctors only .. on one of the messy, uncomfortable bed. But life wasn’t going to give him a break, the room’s door was pushed rather violently as a tall, well-built man walked into the room and tugs the covers off him.
‘’ Jiminie! You have to wake up, Choi Lee is asking for you .. His daughter vomited one hour ago and he needs you to check up on her.’’
Kim Taehyung spoke loudly, enough to wake the smaller one up .. lazily he’d reach for his eyes to rubs them before he glances over his friend and assistant who’s holding the green file that he assumes it belongs to Lee’s daughter.
‘’ Last time we checked, everything was normal after the surgery .. so It’s normal for three years old to vomit. Tells him that its side effects , give it time like two or three days and if it happened again then can come back for another checkup. ‘’
You may think he’s one of the careless doctors in the hospital, which it’s completely untrue! Choi Lee, one of the richest men he dealt with is having a small problem /scrupulosity /.
Taehyung let out a sigh, obviously unsure of that kind of answers but he nodded anyway .. leaving the room, though not before he spoke again ;
‘’ Jungkook was looking for you two hours ago. ‘’ then he left the room, closing the door behind him.
BTS Hospital is now one of the biggest Hospitals in Seoul, it was open in 2011 by Kim Min-ho .. the father of the Kim Namjoon who’s now a famous heart surgeon and is expected to take over his father position in the future. However, Park Jimin started to work as a trainer in 2014 with his friend Jung Hoseok. He always loved kids, taking care of them and spend his free time with them since he had two sister’s .. they’d leave their kids with Jimin when they go on a trip or in a business call. The passion grew inside his heart, and he worked hard .. with his parents help to pay for his college, he finally became a full-time doctor in the babies section.
Once he was fully awake , he grabbed the white coat and wrapped the Stethoscope around his neck .. the signature of being a doctor in BTS hospital and the logo it has on the back was enough to make him smile tiredly at himself in the mirror while fixing his dark locks that were laying messily on his forehead before he steps out of the room. The baby wing surprisingly doesn’t smell like babies puke today. It most chiefly smells like scented diapers, ( which it was way worse if you asked him ) but he made no motion to complain about it, Jimin should get used to it by now.
When he arrived at the emergency section, the waiting room was mostly full, with only a few vacant seats. And since emergency departments are places that have waves of people coming in by ambulance, by private car, and on foot, he wasn’t surprised to see the nurses running over the place to get everyone the treatment they deserve. He could notice how exhausted they were, maybe because they spent more than 12 hours on this shifts.
However, he glanced around the place .. looking for the person who he came all the way down to meet, pouting slightly when he couldn’t find him.
‘’ If you’re looking for Jungkook-ssi , he’s not here.
A car accident happened a few blocks away and
They needed a doctor to check on them .. so
He went there to help. ‘’ The nurse spoke as she walked passed the male, patting his head and disappeared into a room where few patients were waiting for her.
‘’ Great .. ‘’ rolling his eyes, he turned around to leave the room but the loud whistle of the ambulance’s stopped him .. glancing over his shoulder to see the first aid ’s workers pushing the three bed into the room, yelling for the nurse to come over and take care of the injured people. It was two girls and one small kid, maybe around five or six .. he squinted at him, moving as quickly as he can towards the bed when he noticed that one of the car’s window glass was shoved into his neck .. he could tell that they tried to stop the wound from bleeding , but if they were not careful enough, it will press against the vine and they will lose him.
‘’ Get the Suture Tray QUICK ! ‘’ he called for the nearest nurse, who nodded and went to get the tray that contains the sterile equipment needed for any kind of injuries.
While he waited , he grabbed the white , silky gloves to put them on .. ready to check up on the kid neck before another sound of the door pushing open once again stopped him , this time he actually looked to see if there were more injured people .. what he wasn’t expecting is to see Jeon Jungkook, covered all in blood with another man helping him to walks in. Everything froze for a second, his orbs widen at the sight .. the loud screams and groans in pain that filled the room was not muted. All his mind could think of is .. Jungkook is hurt!
He couldn’t hear the nurse calling for his name as she pushed the tray to his side, Jimin just couldn’t take his eyes away from the younger one who was obviously trying to gather himself .. But he can see it all, he is in pain.
- Hours later -
‘’ I can’t believe you did that! ‘’ Kim Seokjin, walked into the meeting room where Jimin, Namjoon and the injured Jungkook sitting on the couch. The room was on the third floor, right next to Namjoon’s office .. The room was big, long, white table in the middle with black, leather chairs around it. The sunlight going through the glass-wall was making the room brighter than usual, which it helped the three of them to see how mad Seokjin is, no one is brave enough to talk back to him when he’s like this, he was the employee’s head after all .. But even Namjoon can never deal with him so he kept his mouth shut for now.
‘’ I'm sorry! ‘’
Jimim mumbled, fingers crossing each other as he kept his gaze fixated on his own lap.
‘’ What should I do with your sorry?
It won’t change the fact that you left the PATIENT
Just to help another doctor who obviously wasn’t
Hurt as much as the little kid !! .. everyone will start talking about our doctors now because of you ! were trying to be a better hospital so you can't just let your emotions control you! Jungkook is not a kid anymore, he can deal with himself ..
if you're planning to work here, then you better follow the rules.
this is the second time that it happens in two weeks now! ‘’
Namjoon finally stood up , walking over Seokjin and pats his shoulder to calm him down .. but as expected, he quickly shrugged his hands off and glares at the two.
‘’ I-i know ! i shouldn't do that, I'm sorry .. I was trying to do my best b-but my body moved by itself when I saw him like that. ‘’
Jimin finally looked up, guilts eating him alive .. he knew that he did something bad, he should’ve never let his own emotions control him. It just, no one can understand how much afraid he was to lose the people he loves again ! watching his own family dying infant of him while weakly staying out of it instead of helping was still hurting and hunting his dreams.
The moment he saw Jungkook, he left everything and ran to him .. hardly holding his own tears as he checked on the other, palms caressing his cheeks, arms and his side where the blood was coming from. It turned out to be a simple cut, and the red crimson liquid was from the other’s injured two girls that he helped him before they arrive at the hospital.
Is he a bad doctor ? .. should he just quit just because he wanted to protect the people he loves more than people he doesn’t know?
‘’ That's It , Park Jimin you’re not allowed to step into the emergency room from now on .. and as for Jungkook, you two are not supposed to see each other during the work hour time. ‘’
The two of them exchange unknown stares, Jimin plump lips curving down in a frown as the taller one let out a sigh in frustration at Jin’s words.
‘’ okay, Jin. I will make sure to keep Jimin-hyung away from the emergency section. ‘’
‘’ YAH! ‘’
Namjoon laughed slightly at the way Jungkook mentioned Jin, he’s the only one between them who could tease him like this .. but what surprise him more was that Seokjin actually let it pass every time they argue or fight over something .. maybe he just has a weak spot for the younger one and he sees the bright future that’s waiting for Jeon.
‘’ Can we leave? I'm sure that Taehyung is looking for me now. ‘’ Jimin finally spoke, the pout can be heard in his tone like five years old as he pushed himself off the couch where he was sitting .. a grip on his wrist stopped him, glancing over the other .. he couldn’t help but to smile at Jungkook’s words.
‘’ I will see later in the house, okay ? .. we can cook together too. ‘’
The two left the room /together /, they went on their own way after their hands were held by each other for few seconds that goes noticeably by the two who were staring at him.
‘’ I’m telling you, Namjoon-ah .. these two shouldn’t be in the same workplace together, I can smell the troubles that are waiting for us. ‘’
‘’ I already know that, hyung .. ‘’
And they closed the meeting, glass door behind them as they walked out.
