Summary
Eddie imagines that Steve Harrington probably thinks that he is real hot shit. On top of being a rich prom king, he is also an eroptomancer. A love seer. A soulseer, some people call them – someone able to see the weird magic that connects people in a predestined shit storm of a craps game. He probably thinks he’s real goddamn special. One in a million special.
It’s actually closer to one in five million, but who’s counting?

Summary
The man’s gaze turns to him and sticks. Eddie bristles beneath the attention but tries not to show it. His eyes remind Eddie of the perfect crema atop an espresso and damn if he’s not a sucker for brown-eyed boys. It’s a curse.
The man offers a smirk. “You must be the enigmatic barista I hear so much about. I’m Steve. Good to meet you, man. Robin and Henderson yammer on about your lattes all the time.”
“Tis I, Eddie, a humble barkeep, at your service,” Eddie says with a flourish of his free hand and a slight bow. “Pleasure's all mine. What can I get you?”
Or, Eddie owns a coffee shop and some of his regulars turn into friends along the way.

Summary
Eddie Munson is sentenced to 25 years in prison for the murder of Chrissy Cunningham in July of 1986.
Despite everyone’s best efforts, the government did not seem as hellbent on helping him prove his innocence as they did to make sure everyone kept their mouths shut. Hopper and Nancy put more time into pleading his case than any of the fancy lawyers the feds sent to handle it.
Apparently, a biased jury and judge didn’t much care for whatever proof Nancy had.
At least he looks alright in orange.
or: The government fails Eddie Munson, but Steve Harrington gives him a dangerous thing: hope.

“Honourable Justice Harrington, I have perjured myself on this stand today, and I would like to recant.”
“Dude, what are you—”
“I lied, man. I fibbed. I told a story. I—”
“Alright, okay. I get it.”
“I don’t read, uh. Gay porn for the articles.”
“Okay.”
“I more read it for the, you know.” He scrubs a hand over his face. Wishes he could hide. “Gay porn.”

Summary
“Sooooo,” Eddie leads. Steve tilts his head to look up at him. Dark eyes flick to his quickly and then away. “What’s it like? Uh, the dating thing.”
Steve sits up a bit, intrigued. Eddie has stopped playing with his guitar for the moment, instead picking at the edge of his cut-off sweats. Steve wrestles his fuzzy mind back to working by taking a large gulp of water, letting fresh clarity burst into his brain.
For some reason he has a burning urge to really sell the ‘dating thing’ to Eddie.

Summary
“Please,” Steve says again. “Need it so bad.”
You should wake him, the tiny voice of reason at the back of Eddie’s mind hisses. You should leave. Go to the bathroom and have a very cold shower and hope he is done with his little dream by the time you return. You should flush your ears with bleach so you'll forget you ever heard any of this.
But Eddie has never been good at following instructions.

Summary
“Everyone has secrets.” Eddie tugged one of his arms out from under his head and stretched it out, so it was behind Steve. The heat of his skin so, so close to Steve's lower back.
“I feel like you don’t.”
His arm shifted. Just a little. Not any closer, maybe? “Just because I blurt things out to you doesn’t mean they aren’t secrets from everyone else.”
“Oh.”
“Oh?”
“I, well,” Steve closed his eyes, “I can’t stop thinking about what you said. About being rough during sex.”
Eddie stilled. Everything about his body stopped moving for just a second. “That’s your secret, sweetheart?”
“It doesn’t sound like one, does it?” Steve shook his head. He couldn't think of anything else.
“No, I mean it does. It does because you think it’s one.” -

Summary
Steve has a brief lapse in impulse control that changes everything because he suffers from a condition called “I have no sense of self-preservation unless I’m actively trying to prevent children from dying”itis and unfortunately, it’s incurable.
Luckily, Eddie’s into it.
“Caaaareful, Harringtoooooon,” Eddie said in a sing-song voice. “Trying to fix me is a lost cause.”Steve scoffed. “I’m not trying to ‘fix’ you,” he grumbled. “I’m not delusional.”
“Sure you’re not,” Eddie said in that shit-eating way of his. “You just want me to be a more responsible co-parent for Dustin.”
Steve couldn’t help but frown, hating that he could feel his ears turning red, wishing that Eddie would back up and that he could stop feeling so goddamn weird.
“We’re not - I’m not a parent, co or otherwise,” he said, frowning even harder.
Eddie made a face like Steve was tragic. “Oh, Steve… I thought you said you weren’t delusional.”

Summary
With twenty-three years of life and zero years of dating experience under his belt, Eddie decides that he doesn't want to spend another Valentine's Day alone. He's determined to find a date for the upcoming holiday, capitalist bullshit be damned. The problem with having not dating experience, though, is having no idea what the hell he's doing or how to get a date. Steve, on the other hand, is practically a professional, and decides to do his duty as Eddie's best friend and roommate: give him some on-the-job experience. However, with each passing date, Eddie realizes that Valentine's Day is the least of his concern, and getting through these practice dates while keeping his feelings in check is the real challenge.

Summary
“You’ll have to forgive me if I don’t believe you, Harrington. Straight boys don’t get off thinking about dick. That’s an indisputable fact of the universe, and a key point in my own personal doctrine.”
And maybe Steve should laugh, shrug, call it a night. He should do that, re-examine all of this when he’s sober.
He doesn’t. Instead, he says, “Try me.”
Eddie lifts himself up on an elbow, turning to his side so that he’s looming over Steve when he says, “Just to confirm…”
Steve nods encouragingly, bolstered by the absence of a dismissive laugh, an awkward change of topic.
“You’re saying that you want me,” Eddie continues, eyes darting between Steve’s, “to talk about fucking a dude. To see if you get hard.”
—
Or; Steve’s pretty sure he could get hard while thinking about gay sex, even though he’s straight. Eddie’s just along for the ride.

Summary
“Oh, no,” Steve said. “No, that’s - that’s insane. Vampires aren’t real.”
Dustin snorted. “Steve, we’ve seen much stranger things than vampires.”
Robin reached out for Steve’s hand again, squeezing it. “He got bit by a girl a few days ago, and then he was really sick,” she told the rest of the group.
“Why are you letting strange girls bite you?” Max asked.
“It wasn’t a consensual biting situation!” Steve cried, rapidly losing his cool. He was so fucking hungry; he couldn’t think straight. He doubled over his stomach, moaning.
“Steve, what’s wrong?” Eddie asked from where he still stood in front of him. “Besides the obvious.”
Steve looked up into Eddie’s gigantic brown eyes. Eddie looked worried. “I’m very hungry. And not for food.”
“Oh, shit,” Will said, while Dustin whispered, “I think he means for blood.”

Summary
“Sorry,” Steve says. “I’m sorry, I know this doesn’t make any sense to you, but can I just–”
Eddie lets him approach, this time. Lets him reach out to touch, to curl his fingers in the hem of Eddie’s shirt.
“Sorry, I know I probably sound crazy, I just––” he pulls it up, stares at Eddie’s side, and then lets out a hysterical little noise that sounds like a cross between a laugh and a sob.
“You’re ok,” Steve says.
His fingers are hot on Eddie’s skin, pressed light and shockingly reverent to the space between his hip and rib cage.
“You’re ok,” he repeats. It sounds like he’s trying to convince himself.
“Hey,” Eddie says. It comes out more breathless than he’d prefer but Steve fucking Harrington has him backed against a wall in a bathroom with his hands up Eddie’s shirt so he thinks a little lack of air is warranted. “Are you ok?”
The fingers on his abdomen flex. "No,” Steve says. His eyes are wide and fathomless and the look on his face is terrible. “No, I’m not even remotely ok.”

Summary
"I'm…" Steve starts, like he's actually about to tell him.
Oh God. He's about to tell him.
Eddie's staring, and Steve sees how his hand is searching the seat behind himself for the remote, probably to kill the movie, because Steve's being so weird it's making him worried.
He sighs again, breath trembling from stress and he buries his face in his hands. Leg still bouncing in place.
The TV gets turned off and the room fills with silence, and he hears Eddie shuffling around next to him.
"Steve—"
"I have a pussy now."

Summary
Steve almost whispers, “We’re, uh… we’re doing this then?”
Eddie swallows, pretends it’s not basically a gulp. He nods, pretends it’s not a little frantic.
“You’re sure?” Steve says, moving closer to Eddie as if to test the waters.
“Yes,” Eddie says.
Steve closes the rest of the distance so they’re sitting with their legs pressed against each other. He tentatively reaches out, taking hold of Eddie’s hand where it rests on his knee, like it’s the easiest way to establish physical contact.
Steve looks up at him, earnest as Eddie’s ever seen him. “You’re totally, completely, and one-hundred percent sure you want to do this?”
Eddie tries and fails not to roll his eyes and groan.
“Like I said, I am sure, so please, for the love of all that is good and holy, do not make me beg you to fuck me,” Eddie says, grateful that his voice isn’t shaking like the rest of his body.
