Sometimes, Claire has these moments of startling clarity where she thinks: this isn’t what my life was supposed to have been like. She looks back on the way her life was when she was a kid and thinks about how she was supposed to have been a normal, God-fearing churchgoer, never stepping outside the lines, never going against the wishes of her parents. And then it was like an angel-shaped train startled the entire course of her life off of its tracks, careening wildly into chaos.
Or, when Castiel shows up to stop Claire from robbing a Gas-n-Sip at gunpoint, Claire confronts him about what he said to her in order to say yes to becoming his vessel. -

Carol feels the confusion slip onto her face. Nervousness creeps up her spine again. “Me?”
“I know everything that anybody has ever thought about you, Carol. Every memory. Every feeling. Helen. Your ex-girlfriends. Your dentist. It’s like I have a Carol encyclopedia in my head.”
Carol had thought that she was done experiencing fresh horrors. What a nightmare it is to realize that she is not. “Oh, god.” She says.
“Oh, god,” Zosia agrees.
After they manage to break Zosia free of the hive, Zosia and Carol try to navigate the field of landmines that is their relationship.
