Martin rolled over in bed, sighing. He had come home, made dinner, made sure his mother ate- well, he left a plate by her bed since she was still asleep when he had snuck in- done his homework, and by the end of the day he just had enough energy left to fall into bed and worry some more about what was going on in his social life.
He supposed it was fair that they had their own thing to hide when he was hiding his whole being-a-magica-who’s-famous-and-oh!-I’m-the-Weaver-like-that-famous-magica-haha? from them, but it still hurt.
As if his life is hard enough with highschool, friends, and taking care of his mother, Martin is also a Magica living in the city of Neoan. Worst of all, just when everything seems good, a new hero named Mystery comes in and shakes everything up. Time for Martin to discover some things about friendship- and being a magica in general.

Summary
Martin Blackwood has a new job at Magnus Publishing, as assistant to head non-fiction editor, Jonathan Sims. He only lied a little to get in, but he knows he'll do a good job regardless. Even though their first meeting is a disaster. Even though he keeps dreaming about Jon and his new boss, Elias. Even though he soon learns that work relationships can be a lot more complicated than he thought.
