Summary
“The tales of North” is a collection of authentic tales of Northern nations by one of the world's most famous ethnographers and co-founder of Midgar Institute of Anthropology, Evan Marius (May 12, 1879, Niederberg - October 24, 1963, Midgar). During his expeditions through the Northern continent in 1914 - 1916 and 1923 - 1927, Marius carefully studied local culture, customs and beliefs. Aside from “The tales of North”, his expeditions resulted in “Life in extremes: Wildlife and the people of the Arctic region” (1918), “Sun, Moon and other deities in Religion of the Bael” (1919), “Diaries of the outsider” (1930) and “The road to Churindari” (1948), which he considered his major work.
