Hey, I'm Jay. I lost my damn-near old as dirt account to an abusive ex that deleted it, so this is my 2nd AO3 account. And while I may have 4.5k bookmarks on this, I'm still searching for vague rememberings of old fic bookmarks that I lost with the old account.
I keep track of how much i read by word counts, though i dont count books, stuff under 5k, or chapter updates, etc. I started to keep track in 2022, because my book-to-fic balance started shifting back to reading more fics than books, and that year i only read 110 actual books. I use 'k' as my unit, and i round down to the nearest k. So a 119,679 count fic will be counted as 119k.
2023 was a total of 23,729k. 2024 was 29,026k. And 2025's total as of 3/13/25 is 13,156k.
