Summary
The apartment was smaller than the word apartment deserved.
Calling it a box would have been more honest. Four walls, a ceiling low enough that Peter felt like he’d bang his head trying to stand up from unpacking, and a window that technically opened but jammed half the time. The place smelled faintly of mildew, maybe because of the carpet - or maybe because this whole building had given up on life a few decades ago and was just waiting for someone merciful to bulldoze it.
He told himself it was fine. He told himself worse things had happened. Which, technically, was true.
That didn’t make him feel any better.

Peter shouldn't have run to you about what I perceive to be playground insults and Flash should've had the responsibility to not say them in the first place. Therefore, I believe four days worth of detention for both and a written apology should suffice as punishment,"
"Excuse me?!" May shouts, pushing herself up from her chair. There's a burning fire in her eyes, like she couldn't believe that the principal would imply that that low of a punishment would be enough.
OR: Peter's field trip didn't go so well because of a guy named Eugene 'Flash' Thompson. These are the consequences of Flash's actions compiled into 4,000 or so words.

After the deaths of Aunt May and Uncle Ben, Peter is place in the foster system. After too many horrible placements, Peter decides he’d be better off fending for himself.
Fourteen years old, homeless, and living on the streets, Peter makes the best of what he has by using his brain and his superpowers to his advantage. He’s prepared to hide out until he was old enough to get a job and be considered an adult by the state. He’s determined to find a way to live and survive until he could get back on his feet, alone.
Then an internship and a chance fight against the supervillain, Iron Man, changes everything, even his Parker Luck.
(Doing a re-write of the series now that I know where it ended up. Will leave up the original series. This one will have some new/added scenes or thigs I originally cut to save time. Hopefully better formatting and fewer mistakes…hopefully.)

Tony has been in situations that would probably make highly trained professional hitmen tremble. He has a high tolerance for bullshit and hardly anything seems to phase a person after they’ve sat through one of Pepper Potts’ three hour lectures about why you should not throw flower pots at members of the press. Tony genuinely thought that he might never experience fear again after that little escapade. What he didn’t expect was for his hands to be trembling and his heart to be pounding against his ribs at the thought of being left alone with May Parker.
