The library felt stuffier than ever, the sunlight and the old books more oppressive than they were just moments ago. Caspar felt sweat on the back of his neck as he stared at Linhardt, wide-eyed, processing that.
“I didn’t mean to upset you,” Linhardt said after another moment of pause, his lips downturned into a frown. “I thought you must know that.”

Medium to large in size he would think, his head is about half way up Verso’s thigh sitting next to him. His coat was short, light caramel brown, black and white fur, medium size nose length and pointed ears. ‘Definitely a mutt of some variety, maybe something with a terrier?’
“Good morning to you too, Gustave. Can I help you?” Verso asks, his tone seemingly annoyed but he had an amused tilt to his lips that was on its way to a smile.

Mecha Man takes his place at the head of the Z team while the last vestiges of the Red Ring accept a dangerous offer for a chance at revenge. Malevola confronts her past. Visi pushes herself to be more. Robert tries to solve a mystery. Golem learns painful truths.
Post-Canon Epilogue to help cope until s2 formerly titled “embarassing” because it started as a 1shot fluff scene of the same name and morphed into more of my interpretation of the post-canon story.
It’s gotten a bit out of hand with the world building but it’s a lot of fun to write.

Flambae had been shot. A spike of cold punched down Robert’s spine, even though the body under his hands radiated heat.
Or, Flambae took a bullet for Robert (actually, two bullets), despite claiming he’d never do that. They both end up learning a lot about themselves and each other afterward.
