She hadn’t felt this alive in…god, she didn’t even know when. All she knew was that Eve’s hands were grasping at her hair, pulling apart the neat bun it was held back in, and her mouth was slowly destroying her.
Reluctantly, Villanelle pulled back, just barely managing to keep her restraint when she felt Eve chase after.
“I have a hotel room,” was all she needed to say.
Eve nodded in understanding, her eyes flitting down to Villanelle’s lips. “Let’s go.”

Eve is reluctant until she realises that she is the only person in the world for the job. Sent on a road trip to distract the pair, she finds herself struggling through both her emotions and Villanelle's and learning about the why - why Villanelle is like she is, why she is drawn to her inexplicably, and why that bus moment actually happened.

Because when Eve looks at her, it’s clear she doesn’t see a monster or a machine. Eve recognizes Villanelle’s rare combination of grief, regret and relief and she reflects it with her own eyes, feeling it so strongly that her eyes begin welling with tears. And soon, Villanelle can’t help but surrender to the same emotions herself.

Summary
That bruise mottled around the cut above the corner of Villanelle's mouth is oddly cute. Endearing in that it reminds Eve of a child with a chocolate milk mustache, though heaven fucking knows Villanelle isn't a child. But there's something childishly innocent about her nonetheless. Innocent in the way that Adam and the other, biblical Eve were, before the apple taught them shame. And impulse control, and whatever the fuck else.
Eve makes a different choice.

Summary
This series will be the telling of Sanem and Can's story as inspired by Prince's music. I love Prince. I love Can and Sanem. I couldn't help but relate Prince's lyrics to CanEm's love story as I listened. This is an experiment...The idea is interesting to me--we shall see how interesting it is to others. :) Some parts will be rated G, and some will be R. I will always give a warning when things heat up. :) I hope you enjoy!

Summary
Can Divit is a freelance journalist, who has established a name for himself by reporting from hotspots of humanitarian crisis around the world. His family owns a New York-based publishing house and his father has always wanted him to join the family business rather than play Indiana Jones in far off places. But Can has no intention of returning - he has plans of his own involving a small island off the coast of Maine.
Sanem Aydin is a brilliant student, finishing her Masters degree in Literature and History at Yale University. She is originally from Istanbul, Turkey, but after her parents' death in an accident when she was eight, she was sent to live with her aunt and uncle in New York. She dreams of becoming a writer, but her aunt and uncle insist she gets an education first. She has found a mentor and protector in her history professor, and now he has offered her a job for the summer, fact-checking and researching for his latest book. And the best part is: the job comes with her own private cottage on a remote island!

An Erkenci Kus Pirate alternate universe. Can and Sanem share a complicated history that's explored in a series of flashbacks, while during the present day they try to rekindle what they once had. Set roughly in the late 1700's. Slowburn reconciliation but there is plenty of romantic fluff in the flashbacks to keep you sated.
Profanity and violence but I'm trying to keep it lighthearted.
