Summary
Sometimes, it feels like he never really made it out.
When he wakes up at night, sweaty and nauseous and hurting, he’s there. When he only gets through 5 of his stretches before the pain gets him out of breath, he’s fucking there. He- it doesn’t trigger a flashback every time, but it’s a reminder, that his life has been so severely affected by the krang and there are some parts of himself that he won’t get back, some parts that will never be the same.
Maybe a little part of him died in the prison dimension. Never left, left behind.

“Jiro, if you have a quest-”
“Your heart rate is way too low.” And that made sense because his knees are feeling significantly weaker.

The boy anxiously made his way over to the room. His sad blue grey eyes that looked so much like Spy’s own were down casted. His cap hid what Spy only knew from pictures to be dusty blonde hair. The freckles that dusted his cheeks, he knew came from his mother. The ski slope nose also belonged to his mother, but the boy’s sharp cheekbones and jaw line were Spy’s. But what was his son doing here of all places?

No…no, he refuses to collapse. Damn John for thinking he can't do this. It's a trip to the goddamn store. He can make it. It's only two more blocks. He doesn't let himself think about the walk back; he just needs to get inside and hold onto a shelf for a moment to catch his breath.
