    Summary

Steve Harrington thought they were kidding. A week ago, Robin and Eddie had been excitedly talking about this thing called a “Renaissance Faire” coming to Indianapolis the following weekend. The way they were talking about it with the costumes and the lore, Steve presumed it was another Dungeons and Dragons thing that he did not understand so he tuned them out.

(i.e. the fruity four and the kids go to the renaissance faire and something about Eddie in a costume gets Steve flustered)

“Shut up.” And she pulls Robin back down to her lips.

Nancy doesn’t know how long they stand there, making out in the kitchen like a couple of horny teenagers (which, she supposes, they technically are—she’s not twenty until next year and Robin’s only just turned nineteen). It’s long enough for their kisses to turn desperate, for Robin’s lips to move from her mouth to her neck, nipping and biting just light enough to avoid leaving a mark, for her hands to move upwards under Nancy’s shirt, carefully tracing the bottom of her bra. Long enough for Nancy to weave her fingers into Robin’s hair, pulling her closer, for her free hand to travel to the waistband of Robin’s jeans, scratching gently over the skin just above it.

Long enough that Nancy’s senses are overwhelmed by Robin enough for them to miss the footsteps coming up the stairs.

    “Oh my god, my eyes!”

“Whatever," Lucas shrugs. "You’re just jealous that you aren’t getting any.”

Mike raises an eyebrow, like he knows something the rest of them don't. Will looks like he wants to drown him. He probably deserves it.

In which Will has a love bite, the Party freaks out about it, and Mike is jealous of himself.

    Summary

Highland rain, a ruined bothy, a broken fiddle. Jonathan brings in a fever-struck Robin Buckley; Nancy Wheeler, out of her own century with a ring that stirs the standing stones, sets about saving her with steady hands and measured rules. A hand-squeeze code becomes their way to move carefully through fear and want. At dawn the stones answer differently to each of them, and the choice is simple if not easy: heal first, stay together, find a violin, and earn whatever crossing comes next.

    Summary

Before she can find an answer in her mind, Robin shoots back through gritted teeth: “This is hopeless. You are hopeless. No wonder Jonathan abandoned you and fled town after you were done with him.”
Without really processing what Robin said or thinking of an actual response Nancy- or rather her subconscious - snarls under her breath: “Get out, I don’t ever want to see you again.”
Robin turns around, wiping away her tears, uttering through her sadness: “Don’t worry, you won’t.”

It’s been almost three years since Vecna was defeated and the Upside Down forever closed. Nancy Wheeler has become the new Chief in Hawkins and is working on a routine case when she suddenly learns that the surviving victim is a former friend from their days fighting extraterrestrial evil. Even worse, at the same time a long forgotten foe has returned to terrorize Hawkins once more.
Talking about emotions has always been the bane of Nancy’s existence, so much so that she rather not talk to someone for two years after a big fight than open up. Only now she was forced to.
If only she could solve these issues as easily as she solved cases or defeated evil monsters. Or could she?
