I'm not going to leave any more comments unless I'm really enjoying a fanfiction and I feel like doing so. I don't believe I've ever disrespected anyone because that goes against all my principles, but it all depends on what in this case the writer interprets as disrespect.
A few years ago, I wrote fanfiction for another well-known FF website. I don't anymore because I currently have neither the time nor the inclination, in fact, I deleted everything. But I appreciated the constructive criticism because it helped me understand what I needed to improve. However, there will always be people who are easily offended and for no real reason, simply because they feel attacked in some way, and they don't even offer an explanation so you can apologize if necessary.
And AO3 doesn't have private messages, and I suppose that if they block you, they won't be of any use.
