Summary
Luz Noceda is a fanfic writer and Witchchick128 is her biggest reader/commenter. Over the course of three years, they become online friends, battling Luz's real life loneliness, and even attempt to write a fanfic together.
Amity Blight is a fanfic reader, her favourite writer being GoodWitchLuzura, who just wants a real friend and to be able to be good enough to write her own fanfiction. Luckily, after three years, she has a best friend in Luzura, who's even helping her write a fanfic, together.
Simultaneously, Luz has to move across the country and go to a new school, and make new friends. As she expected, she manages to make a rival, this one being Amity Blight. So, she has to make her way through high school trying to avoid Amity (even while weirdly wanting to be friends with her) who is irritated with her enough to make it both of their problems.
Little do Luz and Amity know, their paths have already crossed...

"The woman’s eyebrows shoot up at Amity’s last name. “Well I’ll be damned. A Blight at my doorstep? No wonder your parents aren’t around. Odalia’s still a tool and Alador’s still a pushover, no? Ah, just like Hexside.” The gray-haired woman grins.
“You went to Hexside?” Amity asks, ignoring the comments about her family.
“Yeah, ‘course I did. I’m the most powerful witch on the Boiling Isles!” The woman boasts, puffing out her chest and flexing an arm. “Education may be a load of nonsense, but I still got the most prestigious one on the island. How else would I have risen to power?”
“Who even are you?” Amity asks, wrinkling her nose.
The woman deflates. “Seriously kid, that’s just rude.” But she recovers quickly. “I’m Eda the Owl Lady!”
“Aren’t you like, super wanted or something?” Amity asks.
Amity still isn’t quite sure exactly what “Blight Standards” her parents want her to enforce about the company she hangs out with, but she’s pretty sure public enemy number one would not live up to those standards."

Amity finds the Owl House at a young age, and Eda quickly becomes a stable adult figure in her life as she grows up and navigates her way through the events of canon.

Luz backs out of the car, brandishing her pen and paper, and then turns to the stranger.
“I didn’t do any damage, but I was still gonna write something because-” She stops mid-sentence, because it’s then that she gets a good look at the other woman, and all the words in her mouth turn to mush.
