Summary
A remarkable "braided novel" of 8 stories and novellas which Macedon wrote in tandem with the equally remarkable Peg Robinson. Too sprawling (in the grand sense) in scale and reach to reduce to a mere synopsis; let us just say that this is Voyager unfettered and red in tooth and claw, such as Paramount with its nice tidy pander-to-the-demographics mentality could only dream of producing. Faith, community, alienation and belonging, honest conflict between Maquis and Starfleet, and the realities of life far from home and safety. These are just a few of the things Macedon and Peg handled with discretion and grace.
From Macedon: I recently learned that my friend of many years, Peg, passed away in her sleep September 3, 2024. If you were or are a fan of the Talking Stick series and Peg's fiction, please think softly on her and light some sage or tobacco in her memory for the wonderful stories she gave to us.

Summary
Eames used to live a quiet life in Mombasa—scamming tourists, hustling casinos—until Arthur appeared one day and opened his eyes to the world of dream-share. However, the deeper Arthur takes him into his own mind, the more Eames uncovers a dark and disturbing truth inside of himself—one he will do almost anything to hide from.

Summary
The first time - the day Tedesco found out - was the worst day of Aldo’s life.
He’d never run from Tedesco before. But then, he’d never been humiliated on this level before. He’d never been hard during one of their arguments before.
Had he?
But he slept now, deeply and dreamlessly, his mind no longer crowded with the guilt and shame and all-consuming fear. Somehow it seemed that a knot Aldo hadn’t known he was carrying in his chest was loosening. Someone knew his secret. And while it hurt that it was Tedesco, it hurt that Tedesco had chosen to use his secret to hurt him, it hurt a lot less than he had imagined it would. There was a sense of being fully seen, fully and finally known, that soothed parts of him that had been hurt for a long longer and a lot worse than this.
Friends, it's not canon to the book (barely canonical to the movie) - I was inspired.
TW: sexual abuse, but Aldo keeps going back for more; happy ending, I promise.Series

Summary
Mr Brandy was nervous. This, in and of itself, was not entirely unusual; Mr Brandy had something of a reputation for being nervous, both with and without cause, and frequently at dinner parties. If asked, he would have said it was something to do with the cravat, it being worn rather close to the chin and not permitting much room to breathe, but of course, it would not be polite to ask, and so he was seldom asked. He was slightly disheartened by this, having worked rather hard on the cravat excuse, and being rather keen to trot it out.
It was perhaps somewhat unusual, then, given the aforementioned case of nerves, that Mr Brandy should also be the reigning Smooch Champion in all of Bath. Yet he was, and the silver trophy stood at the forefront of his escritoire to prove it.
Or: I was complaining about how lots of language about kissing sounds like a competition, and someone said 'but what if it IS a competition', and... this happened.
