Barty is meant to be dead. If not dead, then at least missing a soul. Honestly, he should have been dead a long time ago but he somehow managed to hold on long past all of his friends.
He had nobody at the end. None of them survived past the first war.He'd resigned himself to hell but something out there decided he wasn't done yet and sent him back to the best years of his life, with less than two years until a war breaks out. A war only he knows about. For now, all his friends are alive and he's going to fight his hardest to make sure they stay that way - and maybe he's going to learn about a few things he missed the first time he went through this.

Summary

A pretty angsty, but still fluffy story that simultaneously follows the past of Sirius and Reg running away and doing anything to survive, and the present, where Regulus is pretty much a cold son of a bitch and James is absolutely whipped and does the most heart-warming shit for him. Also ft. Fleamont being a paternal figure to Reg, which I adore :)
