Benedict is feeling lost and lonely. Anthony is caught up in a love affair with his wife and the rest of his siblings are all caught up in their own lives. Benedict has barely been able to pick up a paintbrush in months - he’s dropped out of the Academy to paint his own way, but the images refuse to come. When Eloise suggests he needs a change of perspective, he realises he has always overlooked Penelope and assumed she was Colin’s. If Colin isn’t interested in her, Benedict just might be. Can Benedict convince Penelope he is a serious prospect for her?
Penelope is used to being burned by the ton, but she’s not used to having the flames come from Bridgerton House. She had decided she wanted nothing more to do with them, but when Colin apologises, and Eloise wants to make amends, Penelope thinks she can move past the pain without losing her heart to them again. But then Benedict is there and he’s sweet and kind and charming and Penelope cannot do this to herself again, can she?

She looks in the mirror above a vanity that looks more like a desk, and Nicola Coughlan’s gorgeous face looks back at her. Pale and drawn face, red curls disheveled. Gauze wrapped around her head. She blinks. Once, twice at the pretty image. Moves her hand, and yes, Nicola’s hand moves with her. She touches at the gauze and has to wince at the pain in her head.
Or a very confused blogger extraordinaire wakes up as Penelope Featherington before the start of season one. Of course, in the nature of izekai, the story does not stay as it should.
