She and Tony left the mansion first in one of Howard's cars. Howard left second shortly after.

Penelope wished to speak, but every word she thought to say rose to her throat and lodged itself there, refusing to move even an inch. Finally, in a voice so small she nearly missed it, Colin asked, “what do you mean?”
