I’m much more of a reader than an author but I suffer from nerves/shyness that means that I rarely comment on other people’s work because I don’t like repeating what others say (it makes me sound inane I think) and I rarely have anything original to add.
I have been judged harshly for raising my head above the parapet on the internet many times over the years - which has turned me into a lurker much more than a participant - so, whilst I may “Kudos” some stories I really like, more often I private bookmark my favourites to re-read later, so if you’re an author you might see some of that on your stats (or you may not, I’m not sure how the stats feature works in that regard).
