Writing place. In case you are wondering, the 'correct' way to interpret my username is by treating Biting as an attributive participle, rather than a gerund. Machine translators will find it difficult to translate. The intended meaning of “Biting” is closer to “The chicken that is prone to biting”, “The Biting Chicken” or “Mordacious Chicken”, but my username will never be changed, as those alternatives are either too wordy or have rarely seen English words.

P.P.P.P.S. Update: I went through more parenthesized literature and saw some of the modifiers' functions overlap with each other. Depending on which source you read, appositives and summatives are either functionally identical or merely similar to each other — a stupid state of affairs that can't be dealt with until summatives gain more traction. (out of all of them, the non-appositive summatives are the most interesting, given they summarize a verb phrase and are technically relative clauses)
