Martin was still getting over the fact that within three hours he had gone from, ‘Jon's back from being kidnapped again’ to ‘yes I'm asexual and have no actual desire for you in that way but I'm extremely touch starved of actual warm human touch and desperately need to be held all over at once and reckon sex would be an efficient method of doing so’ to ‘that was an experience, thank you, now let's get dressed and snuggle.’ It was a lot to process.
They (not Jon, of course, because coma, but the rest of the archive staff) find out later during Jon's coma a couple months later that he and Martin had inadvertently conceived that night. Thus begins a complicated question of ethics (and just in general - the man is technically dead so how is this even possible?!?!). Jon had no inkling about this as even a possibility before the coma so he wasn't able to form or share an opinion on the matter. He has no living family to vouch for him. Ethically nobody has a clue how to handle this. Also, again, he's totally DEAD so what even is going on here?

Summary
I listened to episode 160 again today and it just made me sad how upset poor Jon seemed to be about everything so I thought… I'll write alternate endings!
Some will be wholesome and pure fluff, some will be chaos, some will be…not so great for Jon (ouchies!) but hey, the world doesn't end! So still an improvement. The only thing they'll all have in common is that the ritual gets stopped. Just…how that happens exactly varies. So watch the tags since they'll be rated very differently.

It wasn't her fault. It wasn't Jon's fault. It was a little bit Tim's fault, but his heart had been in the right place, so it felt wrong to blame him. Nevertheless things had become dire. There was a sliding scale of Jon's bad days with a fifteen minute break under his desk on one end and a full scale meltdown on the other. Jon wasn't ready to start biting people yet, but he was far beyond anything his blanket would solve.

Tim inched towards the door and tried to hear if anything was moving inside. Nothing. Slowly, he raised his hand and knocked against the wood. Still, nothing. So he opened it. At first he couldn't see anything through the dusty darkness of the room. He turned on the light, looked at the floor, and turned it off again. After a stunned second of silence, he turned it back on.
Laying there, on his side, arms hiding his face, was Jonathan bloody Sims.
Or: Jon returnes from the Circus, but refuses to speak. Martin and a reluctant Tim take it upon themselves to take care of him, involving lots of angst and fluff.
