Summary
It’s just that inevitable time of year again; hurricanes are common on the Gulf Coast. Heidi is used to it. Grew up on it. She was strategic when she picked her home: made sure it was a neighborhood that didn’t usually flood, and every house she looked at seriously she inquired if it had been flooded before. Bought one lifted on low stilts. When the news started giving suggestions to either go to an evacuation center or hunker down with long term supplies, she was ready. Maybe over prepared for a woman living alone, but you never know how long these storms will last these days, or who might be in need of aid nearby. Not all neighbors were experienced in hurricane prep and could find themselves in a rough situation, especially if they’re not from around here.

Summary
Ghost is stuck in a limbo between life and death when a bargain is struck: Harvest 100 souls and be granted a second chance. "Perfect." The dossiers of his targets are wretched scoundrels, no different from those he hunted in life. This will be easy enough. He'll be back with the 141, hunting for Makarov in no time.
But when it's time for the 100th soul, the one standing between Ghost and his ticket out of purgatory is you. It's your bright, smiling face that beams up at him from the heavily redacted dossier.
Sure, you’re no saint, but what the hell are you doing on this string of dossiers?! Forgot to pay a parking ticket? Cheated on a test in the 10th grade? Stole a pen from the bank?
More baffling still, you can see him, and you're not ready to go. You have a bucket list; you can't die, not yet. Your time is up, though, and others are coming for your soul. So Ghost, exasperated by the whole ordeal, is going to help you. Complete your bucket list and you’ll come quietly, yeah?
But in the end, will he be ready to take you?

Summary
Wall Street was supposed to be your sanctuary, a place where numbers made sense, even when nothing else did. As a first-year investment banking analyst, you thought the biggest battles would be against asshole colleagues and impossible hours. You were wrong. Becoming suspicious about one company's perfect finances lands you kidnapped and thrust into an international conspiracy involving Mexican cartels, the Russian mob, and a shadowy figure planning something catastrophic.
Rescued by Task Force 141, you're dragged into helping trace the money around the globe and back to the mastermind who started it all. And this may not even be your biggest problem. You're forced under the protection of Ghost, the man who doesn't even want to acknowledge that you exist...and the man you can't help being drawn to.
Caught between the criminals who want you dead and a man who would never even consider you a colleague let alone anything more, you're stuck with the terrifying realization that the numbers you've spent your life understanding might be the key to preventing something far worse than financial fraud.

Summary
Simon didn't know if there was any kindness left in him and he would never, ever claim to be a selfless man. Yet he knew better than most how much emptiness could be found in forcing the memories into silence with the methods you had attempted to seek out.
He wasn't kind, but he damn sure wasn't cruel enough to let someone so afraid follow in his footsteps.
-
An attempted one night stand between two people with similar hurts leads to an arrangement. Simon has grown tired of empty sex. You want to stop being afraid of it. An agreement to find comfort in one another leads to far more healing, connection, and care than either you or Simon would have expected.

Summary
Caught in the crossfires of the Task Force 141 and their enemies, you collapse at Ghost's feet begging for his mercy to stay alive. Shortly after, you find yourself in his possession. He can't kill you because you're not a threat, but he can't take you in because you might turn into one. Begrudgingly, Simon must hold you captive under a watchful eye to make sure you don't wind up dead or worse.
“I'm a mercenary,” you finally confess. He cocks his head to one side, like a confused animal. It's almost cute.
“For whom?”
“For myself. I answer to no one but my own volition.”
“You think you're some kind of vigilante?”
“No. Nothing patriotic like that. I'm selfish. I have my own personal wants. Things I can gain. I don't do this for justice. Not for other people's, at least.”
(Author's note: I'm fleshing this out as I work on it, so anything and everything is up in the air. I've always wanted to write a Ghost x Reader, so we'll see how it goes!)
Reader's callsign is Mercy, is AFAB and is referred to as she/her throughout. No use of Y/N.

Summary
You weren’t sure what to expect when you decided to visit Ghost for Valentine’s Day. Military bases weren’t exactly known for their romantic atmosphere, but that didn’t matter—you just wanted to see him. What you didn’t expect was Ghost, gruff and intimidating to everyone else, pulling you into a makeshift kitchen date. Between stolen kisses, flustered introductions, and a very questionable choice of bakeware, Valentine’s with Ghost turns out to be sweeter than you ever imagined.

Summary
“ Have you gotten everything you wanted in your life?”
The question caused a slight pause in the old man's movements, worn hands rested on the marble countertops. His eyes flickered over to the boy sitting on his ratty old couch, poor vision from old age and mistreatment blurring his face in the slightest.
“ No.” he decidedly grumbled after a long moment of silence. His eyes flickered to the framed photo on the mantle, decorated carefully with little trinkets and gadgets, and of course, a nice expensive bottle of scotch
“But once I got very close.”

Summary
“Johnny” he looked at the man who seemed confused by that. It took him a minute to realize who Ghost was talking about. “Oh.. you mean me.. your Ghost right?” Simon kept it together well all things considered. “That’s my callsign yeah..” he hated seeing Soap like this. While he’d wished for ten long years that Soap was alive why’d it have to be like this?
