The woman on television delivers matter-of-fact statements about the accident in a smooth monotone while multiple video perspectives play across the screen, gathered from a multitude of news outlets and social media posts:
"Montreal Captain and proud member of the Hockey for Hope Charity League, Shane Hollander, was violently attacked this afternoon during a League team meet-and-greet. The attacker is described as a masked man of average height and weight, driving a dark four-door sedan with New Jersey plates..."
OR
Shane is assaulted by an obsessive fan after a charity game and briefly hospitalized. Rumors fly that Ilya hired the attacker to take Shane off the ice and rig the playoffs. Bound and determined to protect his boyfriend's reputation as a sportsman (and tired of being forced apart during medical emergencies), Shane rallies the troops for a chaotic coming out statement.

Summary
This is the story of Raela Fairfield, a custom (Tav) character whom I played in Baldur's Gate 3. She is a half wood elf Gloomstalker Ranger/Assassin Rogue, with the Urchin background, whose major romance was with Karlach, with secondary romance arcs with Astarion and Halsin, and whose overall alignment throughout the game could best be described as Neutral Good. Following completion of the BG3 story, she chose to go to Avernus with Karlach and Wyll to try to fix Karlach's heart.
The work is a blend of my own original writing and scenes heavily drawn from in-game cutscenes (with minor modifications and interpretations of my own) and is intended purely for entertainment purposes under Fair Use guidelines. Major credit and thanks to the creators at Larian Studios for their excellent work. Hope you enjoy! -

Summary
The bond between Shawn and Gus is something the two have never been able to quantify or accurately describe in words. They're never needed to. All they needed was to exist in each other's worlds. The years after High School when Shawn had run had been a hollowness in Gus' life that only didn't become a gaping wound because of the postcards and phone calls. Now, all that pain is over. Shawn is back, they have Psych, and Gus' life is bright!
But then one day, Shawn is kidnapped.
Henry's history of being an excellent cop always had the potential to come back and damage his life. But after being retired for so long, Henry never figured it would destroy his son. A man from Henry's past has escaped prison and a vow of unspeakable revenge is pledged.
Shawn has been defiled and stripped of every dignity. His humanity raked from his flesh by vile, evil hands. But, Shawn has disappeared from Gus' life before and Gus is not losing him again. No matter what it takes or how long, Gus refuses to let his best friend slip through his fingers.
Especially when it wasn't even Shawn's choice this time.
