Summary
Cybertron has been under the rule of the Primes since time-immemorial. The position has always been passed from creator to creation, ensuring a continuous semi-divine lineage. Until the day that Orion Pax is chosen by the Matrix of Leadership to be its next bearer. From one cycle to the next, a new dynasty is declared to be ruling Cybertron, and Optimus Prime is hailed as their new supreme ruler.
Orion has never been blind to how their society's caste system can often cause more harm than good. He'd hoped to be able to change things with his newfound power, but quickly realizes that the Senate and the priests hold much more sway over his life than he'd expected. There's also whatever is happening with his consorts, who act like their new life is anything but wanted.

Primes traditionally have harems composed of bots from the high-castes of various city states, called their consorts. Allegedly, this is a very desirable position - a cushy life with no worries, their only duty continuing the Prime's lineage. What the people of Cybertron don't know is that the position of consort is more akin to that of a hostage than a real partner. Optimus Prime is also unaware. His consorts are not.

Summary
Dead End, the child of Knock Out and Starscream, woke up that morning in a parade only to find himself suddenly in close quarters with the academy professor that he's had a crush on for at least the past five years. Odd circumstances have caused Perceptor to have lost his vision and so Dead End does his best to keep his professor safe, help rescue everyone from Quintessons, helps his elder half-brother Sunstreaker's newborn sparkling and even some unintended hitchhikers form another universe... but the incident culminates in him and Perceptor declaring their love.
But when returning to normality, Dead End's spark is broken as Perceptor seems to want to chalk it up to 'heat of the moment', but is it really just because of that incident or is it something deeper that they both need to fully understand before they can be honest with each other?Pure romance with Cyberverse Dead End and Perceptor although mixed with IDW Perceptor and sort of smashed awkwardly into my AU as they are. This one has only a mature scene between Perceptor and Brainstorm and then a final one for Dead End and Perceptor, but it yeah it's certainly a romance story with Dead End angst and well, read if you want a satisfying end after angst.
