Fazbear Aquatic Research Facility, a place that -- as the name suggests -- researches the aquatic life of the lifeforms that exist in bodies of water.
Research, rescue, and house aquatic life that they could get their hands on, hungry for knowledge or for fame of discovery.
Somethings will be kept behind closed doors until they understand it, then it will be released to the public and the specimens will be placed in their second location: Fazbear's Mega Aquarium to be seen as an attraction.
But somethings are better left in the dark depths of the cold water.

And you find blood. Ribbons of red sifting through the ocean. The ship's engine roars. The siren caught in the clutches of a net turns and twists, its expressions that of an animal desperate for escape, but its eyes are far too sentient, two burning stars in a void. It locks its gaze with yours, and you are met with a half-second decision.

This town is small. It is tight-knit, superstitious, and cold. The weather is perpetually grey and a dreary blade hovers over the shoulders of old fisherman with algae-covered boats tied to the pier. The ocean laps at the rocky heels of the land like a dog with a vengeance, its salty waters black with a grudge that you do not know of.
The festival was something you did not quite anticipate, a night of indulgence. A night of drinking and dancing, and a night with gorgeous strangers.
The massacre revealed in the morning is not anticipated either. The streets are painted with blood and you cannot get an answer out of anyone. The townspeople refuse to explain, and you learn to stop asking.
Two years pass, and in both of those years, at some point the town faced a massacre. And each time, it is put under wraps.
You, meanwhile, have taken up scuba diving in an underwater cave system in order to find some peace and isolation.Apparently, those cave systems are not as solitary as you first thought.

You never asked for this trip, never asked to be here. Yet, here you are, stuck all alone and waiting for rescue that probably would never come.
Or, well, not really alone. The burning gaze of something in the water wouldn't leave yours.
