Summary
I recently had a dear friend of mine come back from a survey of my Archive of Our Own page to inform me that I had posted quite a number of horror stories here. It is, of course, true that the horrific and the violent are of capitol importance to address in literature as anything less is mere dishonesty. That being said, it also holds true that, have we no golden standard of innocence, then confronting violations to the standard is mere vain resonance. We cannot expect to face the terrors of the adult world without the enchantment of the childhood nursery. Childlikeness, where it is tempered and not wounded by maturity, is highest of all virtues. As such, I have decided to include some children's stories that I wrote here just to give you a little touch of that childlike spark of hope in the midst of an otherwise desperate society. I hope this to be an encouraging and comfortable respite from the horrific. I hope to update this collection every so often in hopes to contribute some enchanting happy little thoughts for anyone else who is, at heart, an old soul who is a child at heart.
Also, yes, all these pets are based after my own pets and their personalities. I love them dearly.- Language:
